Recommending "Era" Games - How Strategy makes for better Slaves

Psst - Yo, ever heard of "Era" games?
No? Just step into this dark alley, put on these handcuffs, and I'll hook you up.

The Hook
Want to blindfold and ass-fuck an opposing nation's big-titted officer by defeating her army and conquering her hometown?
Would you prefer sending mercenaries to abduct a magical elf shrine maiden for your breast-expansion milking business?
How about exploring a dungeon where you defeat, enslave, and spank silly a goblin girl?

If any of those possibilities are tickling your neurons, there just might be an Era game for you.

WTF is an "Era" game?
In a nutshell, many years ago some Japanese madlads wrote code to make character sheets so detailed that even Steven Hawking said "Too many fucking numbers bro." We got Hit Points to Combat proficiency to Breast size to Singing skill to the number of times the character has had sperm pumped into their anus. Then the internet got ahold of it and used those character sheets to made All Sorts of Porn games.

Less Graphics, More Mechanics.
Era games are heavily text based. A few have some simple sprite graphics. I am aware of only two Era games that have little animations. You don't get any big 3D titties flopping around in high resolution, but you do get to decide if you want to corrupt your captive into a loving BJ-queen waifu or shatter her into a gangbang thirsty submissive cocksleeve.

Don't read moonrunes? There's an app for that.
Many of these games are only partly translated from Japanese to English. Download TranslationAggregator (big brain), or paste text into google translate (smol brain).

Your First Hit Is Free

The Era wiki recommends some of the most fully translated games to start, but these are also the largest and most complicated Era games. I suggest starting with EraTypeMoon. Download, unpack, and run the "emuera-anchor.exe" to instantly send me all your bitcoin. (that's a joke)
EraTypeMoon is a streamlined Slave Trainer game that will introduce you to the sexual training gameplay that is similar across (almost) all Era games. All of the user interface is translated and the game has a gentle learning curve. Most importantly there is a comprehensive Glossary where you can look up every component in the game as you want to know more.

If you don't enjoy EraTypeMoon at least a little then Era games probably aren't for you. Head back to boob physics and Koikatsu-rendered visual novels.
If you like EraTypeMoon and think "I want a more interesting way of acquiring slaves than selecting them from a static menu like I'm ordering a waffle" then buckle up Dorthy, because this pool is wide and deep.

EraTohoK
Why it's good: Play a country-conquering strategy game where you are up against a massive panoply of girls who are the leaders and officers of nations. Conquest gives you a chance to capture enemies, and there's no Geneva Convention against prisoner abuse in this world. You can impregnate a captured enemy leader and raise your child to be a powerful general who captures more slaves for you.
EraTohoK is probably the slowest and most complicated Era game. There are fairly arcane mechanics and obscure parameters, but in my opinion it is the largest and most satisfying Era game, and where I've spent most of my Era hours.

EraMakaiRanch
Why it's good: Run a farm where you milk captured adventurer girls who wander into the underworld to be abducted by your mercenaries. Features breast expansion, tentacles (if you want them), and some forgiving management gameplay. There are graphical sprites for your girls that reflect things like: Hair color, tit size, having elf ears, and clothes. This game surprised me as being quite rich and enjoyable despite the Era wiki entry for it being sparse.

EraMaouEx
Why it's good: You're the Dungeon Lord who attracts adventurers to raid his dungeon then enslaves the big-titted bimbos when they fail. Little except the interface is translated (from Chinese), which is unfortunate as MaouEX has some of the most varied and balanced slave training of any Era game. If you understand the TypeMoon training then many of the parameters in MaouEX will make more sense. MaouEX puts its own distinct spin on slave training with some light management gameplay. As far as I know it's the only Era game where you can fuck a girl to death, which is something.

EraMegaten & EraRL
Why they are good: Map exploration with fucking your captured enemies back at base. By far the most non-sex gameplay of the Era games, with lots of stuff to do outside of the training. Megaten has more story and hand-crafted maps, RL has more inventory management and base building. These are worth playing if you want lots of gameplay with a sprinkle of slave training.

Thanks for the recommendations. It's been a while since I last touched Era games, and I found one obstacle being the sheer cliff of a learning curve. The EraMakaiRanch is new to me, and it is just what I am looking for. Really easy to get into and lots of the stuff I enjoy with the whole farm management and raising cow girls.

I do like Era games. Their complexity is a good balancer to many games here that are a lot simpler in nature. Although I do wish that they were more translated. Have tried a bit of Makai Ranch and some of the cows' dialogue is untranslated, as well as some menus (e.g. most shop item descriptions or the cleaning management menu).

Is there any reason these games don't have their own entries on this site? Even eraTohoTW, which also has a *lot* of content (not really applicable for this list since you don't have slaves) is only discussed in the eraTohoK thread. It would be nice to have a decent discussion thread for the games with more obscure mechanics.

Absolutely. That lack of complexity in the training/sex/relationship is why I find similar-in-theory games like Strive: Conquest shallow and bland. The closest game I've seen in terms of offering even close to the depth of the Era-style training is probably No Haven.

All the Era games have a setting that can automatically copy displayed text to the clipboard. TranslationAggregator can automatically grab the clipboard contents so all you have to do is hit translate. I place the TA window right behind the Era game window so I can quickly pop between them. It is a few extra clicks which is a bit annoying, but it makes the games playable.

I think I tried No Haven once, but had technical issues getting RAGS to run consistently and without crashing. I gave up after a few days.

I did use it a bit by manually pasting the text contents into DeepL.
Is there any decent translation service that works well with TA? Seems like the software doesn't automatically sends texts to either DeepL or Google, since most screens easily go over the 500 character limit for automatic clipboard translation TA seems to impose. Have to keep tabbing out and running the request manually.
