    Still has a ways to go as of this review (Alpha 2.6.2), but shows promise.

    +The DD-type system works well for corruption and cursed gear mechanics.
    +Already contains the groundwork for a decent variety of fetish content. If the dev can restrain feature creep to a reasonable degree going forward, and focus on enhancing the best aspects of the game, it could end up with a lot of depth and replayability.
    +Dev has been active in development so far, and it's not their first game.

    -/+ paper doll art. Not awful, detailed enough that cursed gear and etc. is visible. Clearly some actual effort put into it.

    - not much in the way of actual sex scenes at the moment, but it's still early.

    Alpha 2.6.2 review:

    There's serious balancing issues here. Instead of an XP system, characters need to check off randomly generated personal quests in a dungeon to level up. While this is a cute idea, both the amount required and the difficulty of the quests increase. It also raises the difficulty threshold of the dungeon needed to advance these quests (novice need novice level dungeons, etc.)

    In practice this is a time sink nightmare. Any sense of progression often stops for long periods at a time. This is also especially heinous when a major mechanic is when enemies force fetish gear on your characters - hot! - which enforces a new class on them until they reach a minimum level in that new class. Your Elite Cleric can become a Level 1 Prisoner in just one very unlucky turn, and it will take about two hours of grinding to change them back because of this scale-creep.

    As well, the dev is excellent at portraying a wide variety of fetish content, but very poor at conveying the appeal, psychology or eroticism of the fetishes. It's just the surface level aesthetics without engaging further. For all the ideas of extreme content on display, without that deeper engagement I came away from this dev's work with a feeling this is a kind of Fisher Price of fetish content.

    In Darkest Dungeon, the characters have text dialogue popups and speech balloons where they comment on what's happening to them and personalize the character. Just implementing that would be the best simple change this game could make, in my opinion. I don't count the narrator in this.

    As well, keeping the required amount of completed quests for level up to being a consistent 2 or 3 would massively improve the pacing of the content, allowing the dungeon difficulty and the challenges becoming harder to be the significant factor.

    Finally, more consistent rolls on enemy variety would be really appreciated. I don't mean there need to be more enemy types in the game, I just mean that the existing enemy types need to be more consistently randomized so I'm not stuck fighting Ratkin all the time.

    tl;dr Fleshed-out Darkest Dungeon experience with cursed loot, lewds, and personality. Some things aren't fully implemented, there are bugs, and the balance can feel easy if you play well, but Madodev develops at the speed of light and is very responsive to feedback.

    I've been following this game for some time now, and I'm once again amazed by how quickly and how well Madodev develops games. Don't let the alpha designation fool you - this isn't a "proof of concept" with 5 minutes of content, but an enjoyable and well fleshed out experience with substantially more to come.

    The good:
    • Combat is based on Darkest Dungeon and implemented well.
    • There's build variety based on traits, lewd crests, items, and skills. In a porn game.
    • Cursed loot is a major feature, and cursed items are both interesting and even desirable for some builds.
    • There's a lot of personality in this game, both in the art and the narrator dialogue.
    • Good lewds. There's something wonderful about an adventurer putting on a Belt of Giant Strength just to find out it was a Chastity Belt of Denial.
    The Bad (for now):
    • Some UX/Quality of Life issues. There has been a lot of improvement over time, but some interface elements can be a bit unintuitive and can take some getting used to.
    • The game often feels too easy if you play well. A simple party of tank + cleric + 2x damage dealers can easily deal with appropriate difficulty content, and if you start optimizing with quirks and items, you can end up trivializing combat.
    • Some game systems are not fully implemented or are underused (e.g. Lewd Crests are difficult to advance - a single weak enemy can do it if your character is over 50 lust. Curios were removed and IIRC will be re-added once personalities are implemented).
    Keep an eye on this one. It's great, and I'm sure it'll become incredible.

    All those porn mods of DD - but now an actual game. Very solid from gameplay perspective or if you want a full team of latex warriors. Sadly dev still has this tendency of going just a little too much from what general populace accepts as comfortable, best described as "Yes, yes, yes, YES, uhh, why"

    well, it's been a bit, might as well support the dev. so far it's still fairly early in the alpha stages, but what content is here is worth supporting I'd say. if you liked the horny mods for DD just imagine what a game like DD designed with porn in mind would be like!

    its too hard even if you go do the quest 50% easy 50% medium its so bad that the most i can do on this is 2 / 4 of the rooms i do not see how anyone can do this unless there only a pro gamer or cheating i can't give good rating cuz i can't even get far in the game to see if it is good

    Dolt

    I have been playing this for a while on itch throughout its development , and it just keeps getting better! Lewd Darkest Dungeons as it says on the tin, the combat system is very well thought out, and the dev has been quick to fix bugs and oversights, as well as delivering new content at a steady pace.

    Gameplay: The main loop of going in a dungeon, looting resources, upgrading, and going in a stronger dungeon already works well and keeps improving. Actually interesting to play, and this will probably keep getting better and deeper.

    Lewds: Equipment and conditions are well represented graphically, and I think it's the focus of the lewdness in the game. Not all that much CG otherwise, but what is there fits the overall focus of curses and corruption well. If you dislike getting fucked by a dog you should just git gud.

    Music: 1 song for combat. Same song as the sole combat song from Madodevs earlier game. Help. (Edit: Apparently new music is on the way!)

    Overall, definitely worth checking out if you're into the themes (and lewd games with actual gameplay) and ABSOLUTELY worth keeping an eye on!
