Ren'Py - Eros [v2511] [PandaBoy]

Let me start by saying that I dislike sandbox games a ton but played this due to the review before mine.
The story is not original but I like stories with "magic, supernatural, ext." in them. I did find 3 issues with the writing. One part there is no S for plurals. Two is there is a part where 2 words are switched. Lastly the MC calls a women HE in the police storage room. Below is my list of Pro's and Con's.

Pro's

1. The story is not bad just not original
2. The story was written fairly well although there where some creative choices that I would not have used.
3. The renders for the most part are not bad, not great but not bad.
4. THANK YOU SO MUCH for letting me skip the sandbox part. I very much dislike sandbox.

Con's (rant below)

1. All the LI's so far have huge tits and ass. I very much dislike this and find none of the current LIs attractive in the slightest. Lack of diversity is LIs body types. Don't get me wrong each one has their own personality and that is a good thing. Its just the bodies are so unattractive to me as they all have way oversized breasts and ass's that I find them to be ugly. It's just way over the top for me. ( like a 12 year old boy with a boob and ass size slider moving them all the way to 11 )
2. I HATE BEING FORCED into sex scenes with LIs. The player has ZERO choice with any lewd scenes. I find all 3 lewd scenes to be bad as the first one the MC gets what I would be considered raped. All 3 LIs in them are so unattractive to me I just skipped as much as I could with each of the 3 scenes.

In closing the biggest redeeming factor for the 3 stars instead of 2 is the story itself.

Well, I missed the part where it said sandbox, so that's on me so I will try and review this just based on the content and only make one little dig about the sandbox.

At the end of the day, I give it an A for effort. It's not bad but it's not great. I know the dev is working on an older laptop so there are going to be challenges producing really top quality renders, but they do well with what they have to work with.

The problem for me is most of the elements of the story are as old as the laptop. The MC gets a boner just from looking at a hot chick. I mean, even at my horniest, I never got a boner from just looking at a woman standing next to me. The MC gets injured and wakes up with superpowers. There is grind to increase the MC's stats. There is a phone with a version of insta, messages, news and whatever useless crap the dev can think of... At least the dev was kind enough to allow the player to chose to skip the mini game.

Then there is the sandbox element. Mercifully, in the demo at least, it is short, but still, you click on things to interact with them and before you leave the room you have to grab your backpack. <Sigh....>. I am sure in the next release, the MC will be doing important things like laundry, helping mom/landlady/whomever with the dishes, doing homework, ad nauseum. Nothing to move the story forward just noise and grind.

Regardless, it's not bad. It's not original, but it's not bad and the dev has put a lot of work into this demo to make it as polished as they can and we should appreciate devs like this. For being created on a older laptop, it really is well done. The pacing is good. The scene blocking is good and besides the free roam/sandbox, there is not a lot of wasted scenes or dialogue.

I liked it enough to be looking forward to seeing where the story goes.
