VN - Ren'Py - Eruption Imminent [v0.6.1] [MorriganRae]

Yeah there are a few bits here that feel a little awkward but as far as writing goes this is SO GOOD, and that's saying a lot. I remember playing this through when it was only the first chapter, I'm glad I revisited here (v.0.6.1), it was definitely worth it.

Anything I could pick out to criticize would be pretty minor... Social and political issues around duplos mirror trans issues in real life, which feels simultaneously in place and out of place in a world full of futas. I think it's handled a bit awkwardly, it doesn't detract much. I could say the word-building is a bit weak? I'm grasping at straws to find something to be constructively critical about.

Some of the photography, especially early on, falls into the familiar trap of doing constant dutch angles in order to get more into the frame, but this improves after the first couple of chapters.

See what I mean? There isn't much to criticize.

Choices make a difference and the game is clear about what your choices mean. I love the little hints that show me which choices I only have access to because of my earlier choices.

Honestly the writing and pacing carry Eruption Imminent quite far. It's rare to go through a VN on this site and have it be worth playing.

This is good, but, my god, 99% of the dialogue is inside the MC's own mind. It's almost unprecedented, for me, but I'm sure this is just tied for the top 3 games that abuse inner monologue and not the top.

It's not even badly written, it's just abuse of a trap even published authors fall into. I would say I'm nitpicking, except for HOW MUCH she's in her head. The amount of time spent telling the player (but NOT TELLING) why she is whinging about her sister returning is a mind-boggling amount of time to NOT make a point, but this behavior is doubled down on numerous times, and is not all that unrealistic. People, more often than not, choose to NOT say what needs to be said and rather just act like an ostrich and let things grow exponentially worse. And you're trying to say that ALL of this has NO other way of being communicated to the player? This is a writing 101 example of laziness - likely just habitual (thinking in parentheses isn't enough to feed the habit, they also have pink text by itself to feed it more). Is this the easiest way to do it? Yes, it is, which is why it is so rampant and popular. "Path of least resistance" has been human nature for a long time now; it doesn't make it "good" or "right". I choose to laud those who do the work to take the lesser travelled path, for we are all the better for it when they do.

What isn't about "easy" is the fact that both sisters are idiots. I'm really struggling with the near constant propensity for devs to write stupidity as a major character trait. Unless ignorance like this is simply common, and they really do just think that "distance and time" will just magically fix things given enough of each of them?? Or that pretending something isn't wrong, just don't acknowledge that people HAVE to talk, truthfully - will surely mend all issues. There's a thing in writing called the "Willing Suspension of Disbelief". It is a threshold that readers have... how far they are willing to be pushed PAST believability before their immersion crumbles and the authors lose them. Every reader engages in this contract to believe in, to some degree of acceptance, what they know to not be true. It's hitched on the author accepting that they WON'T push things TOO far into the unacceptable for whatever the "standard" is for the genre and audience they're writing for.

So my question is, is THIS much ignorance the NORM for people at this point? Or do you WANT to be treated like you are part and parcel to an existence of this level of stupidity? Because I CHAFE with *every* game that does this. This is the hero of your story. She's great, for the most part, why make her dumb? "But humans are fallible." Yes, yes they are. And they don't have to be remotely ignorant to be so. Actually, when the miraculously capable fall or make mistakes, it's even MORE compelling. How could it even happen? They seem to have SO much going for them. But then we can take a trip into looking deeper and over time in the story see the faint cracks and imperfections that we didn't even notice were there. Or perhaps a deep-seated, underlying tragedy they tried desperately to keep hidden for YEARS. Who knows!? Literally, what can be SO amazing in writing. The SKY is the limit! And yet, so often, laziness prevails, and we get "dumb" dropped in our laps.

I'm sorry for going so long and meandering with this. There is SO MUCH that is GOOD about this game and potential to be so much more than it already is. It's already time-consuming and challenging, and look at what you've overcome already to come this far with such results. We get better by working beyond our comfort zone and habits. The more time we spend living and breathing with the alien and unfamiliar; the sooner they simply become old friends we've had the greatest of times with.

This is some of the best I've seen. Five stars. I seriously recommend supporting the developer and buying it if you can. First off, a few caveats. One, I played version 0.6.1. Two, by porn game standards this is a slow burn, most scenes in the first two chapters will be either masturbation or fantasies. Three, the incest patch is essential. The plot would make no sense without it.

So this one takes place in a world with no men, only futa (both with just a dick and intersex) and fem people. The character writing is solid and avoids the standard porn plot rush through. Honestly, for the genre this may as well be a masterpiece. The characters feel fleshed out. The incest route isn't just a sex fantasy but a dramatic and angsty affair that feels if not quite realistic then at least believable. The MC can be a bit of a pushover and horndog, but considering the standard power fantasy MCs we get she's easier to empathise with. She is aware of her actions and actually tries to grapple with her own morality and choices.

The plot is mostly linear. You get choices of which characters to pursue and which scenes to go for or skip, but the main story is pretty on rails. To counteract it, it's good. It flounders a bit in the early portions when it tries to tackle some serious and dark topics for the first time, but as time moves on it improves and manages to make you care about the world and the people in it. The scenes are good. Not amazing but they're usually elevated by the writing and build-up. Futa protagonist games are not super common and often suffer in the writing department so this one comes as a breath of fresh air.

If you're a fan of futa, don't mind a slower game, and want to get invested in some characters along the way rather than have a power fantasy, try this one out.

You like Futas? You like Well Developed Characters (Liter-ally and Figure-atively) ? A Decent Semi Branching Story Arc? Then look no further...

Models, facial expressions and character details are amazing, so are the backgrounds and the sex scenes, but what really sets this game apart is that it has a good story and absolutely amazing World Building, so you are not only able to empathize with the MC and the side characters, you know exactly why they are feeling the way they are feeling....horny most of the time, but they do have other feelings as well.


This game is not just goon material, despite being pretty good goon material...

It's flat-out excellent. Writing, plot, characters - all fantastic. I especially like the main character. Being able to choose whether your character is submissive or dominant in relationships/scenes is a huge plus.
The graphics are very nice too, and the sound design is great as well.
Overall just a really high quality game, and I look forward to future updates.

This one is truly outstanding in a group of excellent erotic games I enjoy. The storyline is what does the most for me, I'm quite invested in it. The artwork is sexy as hell and I love how the story can arc in multiple ways, depending upon choices. Chapter 6 has left us with a hell of a cliffhanger. Very much looking forward to how this plays out.

Wow. What an amazing, nice surprise this was. I'm a somewhat new/casual fan of futa, but have rarely found something in the genre that hooked me like Eruption Imminent did. I just couldn't stop playing. This is easily one of my favorite nsfw games, ever. Which is crazy to me, haha. But I'm so happy I tried it!

+ Great plot and dialogue. Interesting and unique world building.
+ Diverse and interesting cast - both physically and in personality.

I can't wait to play more of this gem. I have no complaints so far, and no wishful improvements. I'm simply looking forward to see where the story goes!

TL;DR:
A very slow-paced game with a great story, attractive love interests, and a wide range of content and kinks. If you like futa, you’ll probably enjoy this game—whether you prefer sub, dom, or futa-on-futa scenes.


This game moves at a slow pace, but in a good way. I actually think the pacing is one of its strongest points. Most Ren’Py visual novels feel rushed, with little to no character development, but this one takes its time to introduce each girl and build genuine connections with the MC.


The story is engaging, filled with mystery, humor, and a bit of drama that keeps things interesting.

As for the kinks—it's mainly focused on futa (obviously), and you can make choices that lean toward domination, submission, or even cuck themes. There are also other fetishes like voyeurism and feet, though there isn’t much content for those in the current version.

When it comes to the love interests, most of them look great, except for the odd lip design they all seem to share—it’s like everyone had a bit too much Botox, which can look weird at times. Other than that, the cast is excellent: each character has a distinct personality, different body types, and a mix of feminine and futa characters.

Overall, I’d recommend this game even to people who aren’t usually into futa content. The story is genuinely good, the characters are interesting, and I can’t wait to see how the game develops in future updates.

Eruption Imminent [v0.6.0]

Potential spoilers ahead.

Let me preface this first - I'm not a FUTA guy, what so ever. Never ever thought I'd even indulge a VN with futa content in my life...but if there were ever a good exception to make, Eruption Imminent is DEFINITELY the one.


Very good writing, layered and multidimensional characters, hot sex scenes.
This is an easy recommend, even if you aren't a futa fan a game like this could easily convert or pursuade you, it's THAT high quality. Also, you can just avoid all the futa paths and stick with the "regular" girls.

- Plenty of different body types and variety in LI's.

- Good, clean renders.

- Instead of the usual janky looped animations for sex scenes, this game is 100% render only and I MUCH prefer that to the former. If any project has proven you DON'T need animations to make sex scenes hot, it's this one. The dialogue and still images are nut-busting enough.

- Setting is unique, female only universe. Well atleast to me it is unique, this is the first and probably only futa themed game I have and will ever play, unless another one of this magnitude and quality appears then...perhaps.

--Things that bother me --

- "Ms X"- Just not a fan of the MC being blackmailed by some mysterious person who seems to be everywhere all at once conveniently and somehow knows everything the MC is doing and all about her, and also normally if there's blackmailing content I prefer to be the one doing it. After the end of this current update, it seems like it was all trite anyway, because some dumb ugly bitch reveals the MC's secret to everyone regardless. Hopefully that means the end of this Ms X blackmailing stuff because I feel it's dragging on a bit, and is far-fetched.

- There could be a bit more player input more regularly in dialogues, but this story is so well written that I don't mind there isn't as much of it.

- Be prepared for painful cliffhangers and to wait a while ;(

So yeah, I definitely recommend. There is something for everyone in this!

Really excellent characters. Hot. Kinky. Flawed. Better than average renders. Good story. I do wish it was more mix and match instead of specific paths. But other than the MC not being able to get railed by the cop while being balls deep in Lexi, I have no notes. 5 stars.

More like a kinetic novel, lost me after the first and forced sex scene what killed the whole plot and also wasted too much of my time before... However not the worst game I played also it have quality ut i am not an futa fan also not harem style lover.

If you like Futa pretty much you're going to love this game. No animations only still but it is what it is. Fun story, but what I like most is the branching. You can choose to be a Kitten (sub), a Dom, or a Cuck. Played up to the recent update and genuinely a fun time. We'll see what happens in another year for the next chapter

I never thought I'd like a futa game this much, but it's just quality here.

Graphics are nice, the girls have variety and most importantly the MC looks cute and sexy, which is always important with a "female" MC. There are also a few good curvy MILFs.

The story finds a good balance between drama and the sexy scenes. I normally prefer the focus more on the sex as I don't like the melodramatic sad parts (I play to jerk off after all), but I admit that those are necessary for the deepness of the story here. The choices are a bit scarce at the beginning, but the further the story goes the more important and more plenty the choices get.

As with most games I miss a bit of the more kinkier stuff here, but it's not purely vanilla either. I also miss a few body piercings as there seem to be plenty of facial piercings and tattoos in the game, but this is purely superficial criticism.

This is written at the end of chapter 6 and thus at the biggest cliffhanger the game has until now. I'm very excited to see where this will go in the next chapter.

I'll admit it. I gave it a go with low expectations since there's nothing new under the sun over the summary. So I'm problably a bit biased when I say that it delivers more than anyone could expect.

The writting is pretty good, a dialogue starts, there's no delve into plain skippable mumble jumbo, it tells what it needs to be said and we're hit with enough baggage to the next one. In a world filled with AI, simple stuff warms my heart.

The dev had an idea of an altenative world and then wrote about it under a good novel story. I can't recommend it enough if what you're looking for is a good drama, comic situations and a lot of gimmics to make you wish the world was OnlyFutas.

As long as futa genre is smth you like, the game is easily 5/5.

I generally hesitate rating a game before it's complete, but gods damn this is immensely well done. Almost unconstested in my view of Futa Protagonist games with only Having a Hard time as a possible contender for best of the genre.

Can't wait for the next update, brilliant characters, world and drama.

One of the best futanari visual novels out there, hands down. The Authors are pretty active sharing and updating their supporters, and each chapter, depending on how fast you read or skip, can reach up to 2 hours of pure content goodness.

This is another game that surprised me. I went in expecting it to be decent, but it turned out to be really good. Yes, the MC is flawed, but it felt realistic to me. I saw some other reviewers complaining about how she behaves, but I didn't have a problem with it. It's one of the few games that kept me wanting to keep playing just to see what happened next.

In any case, I very much enjoyed this --the story has been great, the writing is great, the models are fantastic. Overall it's a really good game and I'm genuinely excited to see where it goes. Great job, dev!

Holy shit this game is pretty bad.

You're a futa MC who is quite possibly one of the stupidest, and horniest people I've ever seen or played as who has zero self control. As well as the most anxious. It's pretty ridiculous. I could only get as far as the MC jerking it in the bathroom of another person's apartment but somehow they didn't lock the door. Then also didn't say anything when another person walks in, and instead runs into the shower to hide. Had to turn it off.

Then she also does things that would get them imprisoned which is bad but they're so submissive and a push-over that it makes it 10 times worst because they get off because plot armor. If she was dominant, I could understand and that could be weaved into why she never gets in trouble (at least from what I played).

For example: she once again gets too horny at a beach (why she went when she knows how horny she is once again tells how stupid she is.) has to run to the bathroom to jerk off, somehow runs into another character, falls on the ground on top of them and instead of just getting up, is so horny that she humps this character to ejaculation. She knows this character as it is her teacher (or previous teacher, I can't remember.) But we as the player have quite literally JUST met this character. So what happens then? The woman freaks out? Yells at her? Nope. She doesn't even recognize the MC nor addresses the cum on her leg and the MC walks off. Literally no consequence. Meanwhile the MC is still an anxious mess.

Then there's an incident that happened between MC and their sister. Referred to as "that thing". Either reveal it soon after or don't bring the shit up at all cause that's just a bad writing attempt to create suspense and tension. Referring it that "that thing" even in their own thoughts is just bad writing at that point. Which I assume is related to a recurring nightmare the MC keeps having.

Everyone looks good. That's it for the good in my opinion. The only way I'd play this ever again if there are choices from the beginning that you can make for a dominate MC. An actual dominant MC too. But then you'd have to overhaul the entire character.

I'd be fine with all of this if the game didn't try to take itself seriously but it does. That's where the issue starts.

If you hate pushover MCs, avoid
If you hate overly horny MCs with no self-control, avoid
If you hate bad writing in a game meant to be serious, avoid.

Pros: Everyone looks good. Scenes from what I had seen are good too. But no animations.
Cons: Idiotic, pushover MC who is also too horny to function. No consequence for criminal acts even though there are police in the game. Bad writing

An AVN where men just don't exist at all felt really weird; the world felt like some kind of feminist utopia. I had assumed that the absence of creepy, pervert men would be keenly felt, or that the ntr route wouldn't evoke strong feelings since it would just be girls doing girly things, but I stood corrected by the well written characters. The pacing is great; I never once felt it get boring.

The main thing that drew me to play it was expectations of encountering some depraved scenes. Aside from one notable exception, the smut scenes were pretty vanilla, but I'm reserving my judgement as the story still seems to be in its early phase and the party is just getting started (both figuratively and literally). Also, the planned tags show promise.

The H-scenes were quite short and would benefit greatly from the inclusion of more dirty talk and dynamic pose changes during sex, both of which were lacking. I didn't mind the absence of animations. I really loved the selection of lewd SFX.
