I love the story, each woman has her own problems and stories each with her own personality, the relationship that develops in the story feels natural, I have laughed a lot, I have given me chills, I have felt sorrow and sadness brother this game is next GEN even sometimes I forget that I am playing a game because +18 xd

It's absolutely the best harem vn in the market, nothing comes close.

The plot is very good and interesting.
The LI's are amazing.
The H-scenes are the best I've seen in any Honey Select game.

Visuals 10/10
Story is not boring at all and not slow, so there is really no desire to skip it.
There is a bit of improvement here and there might be, i.e. female voice overs for each character in some scenes might be good with toggle option.

Version Played: v0.8.5

One of the best games I've played on here - up there with Pale Carnations, which is high praise! Similar to that, this feels like it sets the standard for all H games for me. An interesting and engaging story so far, very good artwork, and a nice range of characters with distinct personalities and backgrounds.

Positives:

1. Story is very good, easy to get invested in right from the get-go.
2. Art is very good. I wouldn't say it's the best looking VN I've played, but it's very high standard and I've no complaints at all here.
3. Polish. I really note this from the UI, which I think is excellently designed and presented. Too often VNs focus on only the sex, or the story etc, whilst forgetting the smaller details like the UI which really make your presentation stand out. Not so this.

Negatives

1. None yet.

Probably the most easy to put 5 stars on it, on all level it delivers, story wise, character wise, as an AVN it's the first time where i was even blown by the realisation at time, there's some passage you'll be litteraly like "WHAT", the kind of thing you'll see only in this one,
As a conclusion the music track is top notch, especially in the lewds scenes it fits perfectly the vibe, i'm sure there's some songs you'll want to listen them after your playthrough.

One of the best visual novels I've played so far. The fact that they're both connected is insane. I highly recommend playing the first visual novel before this one. The characters, story, and worlds of Eternum look incredible. I love the characters and the story. Little by little, with each chapter, it draws you deeper into its mystery. I love the music.

One of my best game all time. Visuals are so good, when I first started it I couldn't feel it was a game made with renpy and story is also so good, that it could be a good selling game on steam even without the porn parts.

So, I have just finished playing this game and all I got to say is that, if you are in doubt if you should play it, do it, you will not regret it.

This has been one of the most enteratining games I have ver played, not only in regards to Adult VN, but games in general. So much so that this is the first review I have ever posted in here, even after years of playing games in this website. That is how much I liked the game.

My only note: maybe some more scenes with more than 1 LIs. But I expect they should be coming in future updates, based on the goings of the story.

10/10 game

After four years of unsuccessfully trying to read this VN, it's time to give it a rating.

The neutral: story. Actually, the story is fantastic and a big part of the appeal here. The only issue is it's a complete rip-off of (or homage to) the award-winning novel Ready Player One, which was made into a major motion picture. I've got no judgments here--just acknowledging that it's a terrific premise/story for a VN, and it's completely unoriginal.

The fantastic: Basically, the visual art. This might be the most respected game around, and apart from the RPO story, this is what's best about Eternum. Animations are fairly common, even in non-erotic situations, and they are very well-done. Still art is also oustanding. Many different worlds are exquisitely created.

The awful: the writing. It's very good technically (spelling, grammar, etc.), but to say I find it horribly boring is an understatement. It took me four years to write this review because I wanted to read every line, and it's just awful. I can't do it, no matter how hard I try. Perhaps the biggest reason is, especially when paired with visual cuts/gimmicks, the game is just one endless failed attempt at humor. I absolutely love humor in my VNs, but it has to be at least halfway decent. When this dev isn't trying to be funny or otherwise lightheardly amusing, he's simply a bore. To say all the baddies are strictly one-dimensional would be kind, and every male character is pathetic. If the dev ever partnered with a talented writer, I'd be thrilled.

The mixed: the girls (and other characters.) Again, the art is high-quality and I love the aesthetic choices. There's a hideous prostitute, a girl covered in henna-tats, and an elf, but otherwise this game is a feast for guys who like classic girl-nextdoor types. Problem is they all share an extremely high degree of resemblance, including a dead look in their eyes. Even personalities seem to bleed into one another. Male characters have somewhat similar issues.

Recommendation: Try it. If the writing's too awful, simply enjoy the high-quality slideshow at a leisurely pace, and don't spend four years forcing yourself to slog through it.

An Unrealistically Silly & Charming Game That I Can't Get Enough Of. A Total Defining S-tier

The devs were given the choice between - solving world hunger & hairy balls, or create PEAK. They chose peak. Because BOY did they cook.

I gotta say this game takes a bit of getting used to. It's one of those games where the story just keeps getting better as more is revealed.

Stage One: Pilot

You're a fresh off the boat lvl.1 teenager living amongst buncha baddies; playing a vr game all day. Sounds exciting irl, but a complete bore for a plot, or at least that's how I thought it was gonna turn out.

The MC seems weak, not particularly attractive, boyish, and worst of all GENERIC. Like me, some of you will have to soldier on through the intro to find the real GEM that this game produces. Swear on my sexy 6th grade teacher, it is worth it!

Unrealistic & Proud

Once you get used to the wackiness of this game, everything starts to make sense. All the shenanigans the main cast go through on a daily basis, you now believe, is the staple to a healthy lifestyle.

Just in case you think I jest, I want to go on record and make it 100% clear. This game is not realistic, nothing about it is. From body proportions, behaviors, mechanics, to outcomes. Yet, all of it make perfect fucking sense.
As if you drop a gallon of sugar into the recipe but are left scratching your head wondering why it came out spicy and flavorful.
Eternum is just that. Everything is so silly, but somehow you end up with a story that is multi-layered, engaging and a fucking chef's kiss.

The Romances & their feminine charm

Oof. Bruh what amazing baddies the devs have blessed us with. They are sexy, caring, quirky, and fun.

You have Penny - Mankind's finest creation, who comes off as a self-important influencer/model blonde bimbo. But later reveals herself to be none of those, except the fine part.
Some of the other girls can start off on a wrong foot too, but if you stick with them in the beginning, they return MASSIVE yields. And I am not just talking about Nancy's breasts. You can date all the girls at once if you want, or date none at all if you're a semen retaining sigma alpha gigachad.

The cast of datable women in this game are not that diverse, I'd say. Being the crown champion, you would think that this game would have all types of flavors when it comes to women, but no it doesn't and I couldn't be more pleased. I don't think a single game needs to manage all types of LIs. It just needs to be really good at what it does. And Eternum does that in spades!
If I had to change something about the LIs, I would make some of them taller, to enhance their womanly charm, whereas this game leans more towards the girly charm side.

The MC has AURA

Remember I described MC as weak, a little while ago? Well, that's old news now. Orion might fail a natty or not, but he definitely no scrawny little bitch no more. He is a fucking tank who looks manly AF when sitting beside his bitch. A complete 10/10 dream bod! He is also a lot more assertive, sure of himself, and frankly, handsome. I am definitely getting as jacked as him. Won't be long now till he goes from lvl. 1 crook to lvl. 100 Mafia boss.

The Wacky World Of The Virtual Reality Eternum

Inside Eternum, is a virtual reality game - Eternum. Initially, I don't think much of it. But as the story progresses, I can totally see why everyone in this fictional world is drawn to Eternum like EDP is to cupcakes. The wacky adventures of this game can only be done in the ETERNUM! And boy are they fun. Mind you, some of it is actually really serious. But Nancy taking control over the WRE as it's sole ruler and now bringing glory by expanding through war, is just PURE cinema.

Safe sex is just that, safe.

I can not stand a lot of the earlier sex scenes in the game. Having sex in Eternum inside it's virtual reality game - Eternum, feels fucking bland af. It lacks spice. Especially when it's the first time sex scene with an LI. Something mentally not sexy about any of that. Even if they feel everything as real, having sex in a virtual reality feels like putting on a condom over your entire body. TEAR THAT OFF you fucking lil bitch!
Knowing now Eternum is not a virtual reality, but astral projection helps a lot, but the sex scenes outside of Eternum are still a LOT sexier. Something mentally stimulating about getting dirty & sweaty, and leaving the girl sore for HOURS. That can't not work inside the Eternum.

Man's best friend.

You know a wacky, over-the-top story is never complete without a best bro. We got Chang for that. He is weirdly funny, and a total bro. And thank God we don't have to compete with him for women. We'd lose. There are also bunch of other reoccurring characters that are hilarious in nature and add that extra seasoning to the story, so you're not snoozing your way through when Dalia's bootycheeks aren't on display.

Stage Fin: Eturnamite

"Okay. enough of all that. Should I or should I not play it?" FUCKING PLAY IT YOU UNCUL- ehm. Yes, you def should play. This game is AMAZING! A total S-tier, top of the food chain type shi.

Strong story? Check. Lovable LIs? Check. Hilarious? Check. Catchy Soundtrack? Check. Penny Best girl? Checccccccccccccccccccck.

It is not everything you can cram into a game that rival a Pirates Of The Caribbean production, but what it is indeed, a decently financed, over-the-top, sexy, lovable, well-thought out, engaging game with rich personality that you won't find elsewhere. This game makes you smile so many times, I have played it multiple times, and I probably will again in the future when my memory of it isn't so fresh.

It has everything I could ask for on a vn and it's incredibly immersive that I don't even get bored while playing this nonstop. I love the characters and the mystery in this game and it's very own plot which I find pretty unique.

This game has everything for example action, horror, mystery, and ofc the lewd scenes this might be my favourite game in this site so far. Its so immersive even tho theres 3 or 5 scenes per girl i think that makes this game more worth it to play. Great Pace of the story andi love the characters on it specially chang my man. From the moment i picked this game up i had so many moments of pure joy i forgot i was playing an adult game. This has been a great experience so far.

The characters are greatly enjoyable, the freedom of cinematography in key moments both funny and serious evokes the feeling this is trully a labor of love from the dev, the music choices are well selected and while you don't have sex imediately with your beloved LI's, the payoff makes it worthwhile the wait.

The game is not finished and even if it takes time between updates, i rather wait for as long as it takes, to make sure Eternum stays and keeps being as one of my all time favorite hentai games ever

I'm writing this comment after catching up with the latest version, 0.8.5. Eternum has literally captivated and conquered me.
It makes me smile that even within the game, Orion (the MC) is often told how much time he spends on Eternum and that he should rest a bit. I don't know if this was intentional, but the same thing happened to me. Starting from the first version up to the latest, I practically did a marathon, which shows how much it involved me and never bored me throughout its duration. As far as I'm concerned, Eternum only deserves a shower of praise. I adore the girls, the secondary characters are incredible, and the sense of humor that pervades this game is among the most exceptional things I've encountered. The story is intriguing and not at all predictable in its development, and the erotic scenes are top-notch! The music is fabulous, perfectly accompanying the scenes and enhancing their beauty.

It's a must-play.

Excellent story and graphics. Many of the clichés that trivialize the dialogue are pleasantly absent. The story has no inconsistencies, it is gripping. The characters are faithful to their profile. Great work so far.

eternum was my very first avn, honestly surprised me how intersting these games can get. only downloaded to just bust a quick one, but story got so interesting i decided to finish the game. now im subbed on their patreon and cant wait for the next update. id play the game again just purely for the story and characters and not the h scenes.
