I enjoyed the novel as much as I enjoyed the visuals. The writing is very engaging and well balanced. Jokes in the right places and drama well integrated. Love it so far. Gotta love them cliff hangers!

What a great surprise

• Masterful storytelling
  ...down to the little details and all the way up to the main plot. Great humor but also heartwarming moments that may make you shed a tear once or twice. Every character has a great story that makes you wish to be their best friend and more. As you make the right decisions and gain heart points, your friendship grows but so does a sexual tension.
• Great soundtrack
  The music really enhances the story and no sound effect or voice acting feels out of place
• Great-looking and very sexy characters

My few critics (still, not enough to remove a star from my rating) :

• The choices you're given could use to be more subtle and interesting. Sometimes you're basically given the choice to either be nice or a plain dick, while you could be given more... educative decisions to make.
• the reading felt long sometimes, but that comes from someone who doesn't read much, so take with a handful of salt.

No one really reads these reviews anyway, but if you're here, you've already read all of the good points about this VN.

My 2cents is that I encourage on the fence folks to start reading now instead of waiting later. Why? Because each update expands the story carefully. Helps you savor each update/chapter. Great pacing as well because of this.
(also helpful guides/mods that are updated in case you miss stuff)

Simply the best! Can't wait for more to come. Characters design and personality, story, funny and hot moments, sounds and music. You get really drown into the story.

Five Stars - main characters have personality, are interesting, and beautifully rendered. The story keeps me engaged and has interesting philosophical implications with NPCs and Other Worlds. Pacing is good - characters aren't just thrown into "sex" but relationships build over time. Happy to hear this creator doesn't abandon games.

I'll preface this review by saying I absolutely loved the dev's other game, and the fact that it's actually finished unlike most other games speaks volumes about both the dev and this game's future.

Overall, Eternum is, even now, a significantly improved and much more polished offering than Once in a Lifetime. While the previous game focused on incest to the point of it being the major personality traits of the main characters, Eternum instead funnels all of that immense incest effort into building characters that are highly complex and a joy to interact with. They all look great, and have likable/believable personalities that are a blast to interact with.

I'd say my only possible negative is that the VRMMO addition feels... unnecessary. Understandably, there needs to be a narrative and a goal in any form of media, which the Eternum VRMMO fulfills. However, it adds so many tacked on layers to the game, that it feels like this amazing cast of characters could've been thrust into a less paradoxical situation to deal with and been better off for it.
That's probably the main point--- this cast could've worked with anything and been successful, but when it comes to the VRMMO part they're propping it up rather than the VRMMO supporting the characters.
There's also quite a lot of "gaming portrayed by media"-ism going on in the VRMMO portions of the game. Lore dumps, inconsistent game rules, extreme protag plot armor, etc. Also, sometimes the VRMMO related stuff seems like it's written by people that have actually played a regular videogame, and at other times it feels like they just googled "what is a videogame/MMO?".

... Didn't mean to write so much about the VRMMO that the game itself is named after, oops.

Anyway, TL;DR:

- Characters and pacing are A+, VRMMO aspects completely throwaway but the cast carries the game. Substantial amount of content as of 0.3.

Excellent, excellent game 10/10. This is my first review here, had to do it, the game is amazing. The story is so good that at one moment i forgot i was playing a game from f95zone. Props to the creator man, love the girls, the atmosphere, the story, the humor, thriller, the music, the animations, everything is just great. Probably this is gonna be my fav game from here.

The atmosphere in this game is amazing. I find myself dreaming and thinking of the world within eternum as much as I think about amazing fantasy worlds from a book. On multiple occasions i've thought about the world and asked myself which book that was from, before remembering it was this game.

The writing is on point all the time, there are meaningful choices. The music and sound effects are used really well.

I also played the last game this developer made, and not only did they finish the game, they did so with style, allowing all the different endings I would have wanted, as well as an epic conclusion.

Furthermore, I remember reviewing that game docking it points for not using sound effects effectively enough for the first half of the game. That can not be said again for eternum, sound effects are used excellently and much more than before. In general, every aspect of the previous game has been improved, it's bigger, more ambitious. more fantastical, funnier and I love the characters even more. Their previous game was a masterpiece, and I couldn't be more impressed that they seem on target to not only do it again, but improve upon the previous work.

I can't think of any other developers of adult games, that have managed to do this not just once but twice, and that I trust as much to actually finish their products. So officially, I consider them to be the best adult developer out there. They have made their own unique style, they have consistent release schedueles and realistic plans, and they execute those perfectly. They improve upon their own style, and in general they have just really perfected their craft. 10/10.

TLDR: if any adult games are worth being played, I would put my vote for Caribdis games.

Added note: Im dissapointed in the lack of sfx during sex scenes. I really think I remember Once in a lifetime eventually getting moans during sex scenes. That's really lacking here. Just quiet awkward slappy sounds.

First, I should mention that I do not play the VNs on this site for sexual gratification. If the spicy content is well done then sure it's a bonus.
I realise I am probably part of a very small minority on here and no doubt there is a legion of horndogs with friction burns on their palms that love just seeing virtual tits.

I read these Visual Novels mainly for the storylines and the bonus of having rendered images to set the atmosphere. While the number of VNs on here that have really decent plots are limited, there is a minority of truly polished titles that just ooze quality. Eternum is one of them.

Having played the developers previous game and enjoyed it, I was pleasantly surprised to see he was working on this one.

After playing all the present content, I can honestly say that he is doing an amazing job so far. One thing I love about Caribdi's VNs is the ever present stylish renders and the angles he poses to capture quirky or suspenseful moments. His sense of humour often shines through with the colourful characters and their dialogue. The characters also tend to be likeable and distinct with their own personalities and flaws.

The storyline in this one started off like an average VN on here: young man moves to the home of a family friend aka MILF type who happens to have several young attractive daughters to befriend or perv on - although being too creepy does come at a penalty in relationship points with them, which is a nice touch.

I really became engrossed into the storyline and invested in the characters but the best part was without doubt when the story took a new direction into the world of MMOs. This really added a more fun and extra layer to the story. It also brought back fond memories of my own time spent in various MMO games, a little trip down virtual memory lane.

The plot, characters, humour, dialogue, music...it all adds up to a fantastic adventure that leaves you wanting more. Caribdis really is a very created individual.

I look forward to more updates and thank you for the engrossing and fun experience so far.

Eternum [v0.3 Bugfixed] :

Ok first : What a game ! This dev' is very very (very, i insist ) smart. I do not know if dev works alone or in team, but well done !

Actually i know people reading rating post for a porn game, would expect to see in first part the "porn part" but i will start with the story !

Story : 5/5 (Between comforting classic and intriguing plot = perfect balance)

Well basically the story-concept is inspired by "Ready Player One". A virtual world where it is possible to live almost every experiences you could imagine and build ! And obviously story cross between virtual world and real world. Two Part intertwined all along you play.

At first the real world part seems to be very "classic" for people used to playing those kind of game where young student comeback to a childhood place. Here you do not live with your step-mom, but your "old" baby-sitter" (38 yo in game but look barely 25/30) ans her two daugthers. You dont come alone in their house but with your friend (a girl obviously, who is not your step-sis for people wondering).
You will encounters many others characters from school boy rival/antagonist to others hot girls with differents skills, stories and personalities !

The other part is in virtual world, where there is infinity possibilities of places, ambiance and stories. This is why dev is smart, because with that concept (pretty simple idea but very efficient), he can bring us in multiples verses and tell his story with differents styles and ambiances. v0.3 maybe, but you already travel a lot !
As the book/movie where this concept is inspired, there is a big race about collecting some artefact to pretend to inherit the big company (became overpowerful) who rules the real and virtual with an unknow founder.

As i said thoses two parts gonna be intertwined on a plot around mysteries/surnatural? and conspiracy? that i wont reveal here ! Play this f*****g game !

Characters : 4/5 (Nothing revolutionary, but very well done and efficient work).

Each girl represent a classic archetype of personnality common in porn game : Cute and shy friend, model girl, sport/angry girl, tattooed rebelious girl, weirdo but cute girl, geek one, hot milf, and even .
Classic, but well made so we can bond some attachment to them easily.

Others characters are pretty common too, classic douchebag rival. Our best male friend is pretty classic too in good bro/comic relief.

All is enough well written so its good classic move.

Animation (Sex part) : 3/5 (roller coaster camera)

Models are good, same for animation. But the camera ... as i said previously, roller coaster camera. Move way too much and way too fast and on too much plan. I guess it's not a bad idea if you want to try to make something dynamic but i'm sorry it does not work. I think fixed camera is way more immersive and enjoyable. You can add a bit nod effect (up and down)if you want with a first person view. Even a big "arc movement" on 1 plan. But here its too much, too often and too fast in my humble opinion. (And other bad thing on this, those camera movement make it more hard for my old laptop (when i tired on it) to play it without some freeze. )

Graphics/Soundtrack/Ambiance : 5/5

Thoses "almost" realistic graphics are really enjoyable. Characters, various environment (some work better than other, but nothing is bad)
There is few dynamics animation here and there whiches enhance the immersion.
Same for the soundtrack, musics fit well with what happens, pretty fine to play with it turn on ! There is some sound effect here and there very immersive (the connecting speech for exemple)

Maybe there is lack of sound effect in "sexe animation" , some moaning sound effect could be add something. especially when there is a light "splash splash" sound that pretty weird.

Graphics and sound design create very goods ambiances. Everything is believable and some of them are really impressive and immersive!
Dev is really good in "horror/tense" section, and the

Gameplay/VN : not rated (too early)

Hard to say something at this point of development ! There is some choice obviously, but hard to tell if it gonna be huge impact or if its just a rail story game. Most of choices seems to be used to gain affection points with girls, but this system is kinda vague. Some obviously choice to dodge porn scenes too.

Well, look like it a bit long review (hope its not too much)! so i end it here ! I obviously highly recommand to play it. Even if there is some things that i do not totally like, this game is really fun, enjoyable, and intriguing ! Looks simple but it is (and gonna be) complicated / intricated !

Ok, I'm just going to be honest, It's my first review but after playing this game I just immediately had to review it because what this game did to me is incredible. It made me laugh, actually laugh not just smile or giggle the jokes are good and with taste, the horror and the adventures all very well written it actually made me care what is happening, I honestly was skeptical at first since I'm not into hentai that much but I don't mind, sex scene have taste, doesn't just throw dicks and pussy's in your face like some most games do pursuing different LI actually feels rewarding. The MC feels like how a normal human would be, not a big wuss and definitely not someone who has everyone wrap around he's finger and every girls he meets wants to jump on he's meat missile. Trust me on this one your should try it at least once it's not something you should pass up. And this is for the Dev, thank you Sir or Madam you helped with a pleasant distraction and actually made me feel better with all the shit that is happening around the world atm. I wish i could support you but unfortunately I live in a country that I can barely survive day to day, but if everyone else who is luckier than me, give it a thought. Said my peace. I honestly don't even know what to say for this review other than to just fucking play it and trust us.
This game is tracking to be an easy 5/5 chart-topper, at least up there with the rest if not higher by the end of it all. Great and original story, that kind of reminds me of the litrpg book genre, or if you aren't familiar with that genre think of the book/movie ready player one. Great looking art/girls, storylines that actually make you feel for them instead of just jumping to get your rocks off, and an amazing amount of content for the game to only be on version 0.3.

TLDR; Play the damn game, you won't regret it.

My first review ever on a game.

I really love this game and can only confirm the high ratings given to Eternum. Man what a ride it has been....

Every chapter is a quality masterpiece story and render wise on it's own, MC and other characters have their own personalities (gotta love Nova and Luna), some girls even have a landingstrip down there (thank you for this Caribdis ), models are realistic, game has jumpscare moments, LOL moments, marvellous animated lews scenes (jeez Princess Maat won't login Eternum anytime soon me thinks ), different superb locations (Egypt, Rome, LotR, Bladerunner decor), etc...

Caribdis hitted the jackpot with OiaLT before but this game takes his storywriting, imagination and render creation to another level.
I can only say WOW, respect for you sir.

Didn't completely finish the 0.3 episode yet (wanted to experience the immersion playing the 3 episodes one after another, I really recommend others doing this aswell), but can't wait untill 0.4 comes out .
This plays as a game and feels like watching a Netflix series where you are eager for the following episodes.

Honestly the best game on this site. The story is so fun to play, I can only wish for more updates because this is amazing. The models are great and I would say the animations are average but the story is so amazing.

got to say this is one of my favorites out there right now, the story is great and I just love the characters. I totally understand why its one of the highest rated out there and look forward to see what new worlds and twist will happen next.

[0.3] You know how reviews for every other game on this website are always saying "wow these characters are so believable! this game has the best plot ever!"
Then it turns out to be just a giant carousel of degenerates? Eternum is not like that.

This is like the one game I've found so far that actually has a thought out plot to it. When others say the story is captivating, they were actually right for once. I was so surprised. The writing is not only hooking at times, it's genuinely funny too, I've laughed out loud at plenty of points.

Not to say there aren't times the dialogue does not slow down, but the game has been interesting enough to try to see how far I can go until the end (there is a lot of content).

Oh and the NSFW scenes are hot

Exemplifies what it means to be a VN game.
The renders are excellent, the writing is *Chef's kiss*, and the humor shows that Caribdis knows their audience very well. There are an incredible number of memes and jokes slipped in for the benefit of us gamers and otakus like us. It's fun and genuinely a joy to play.

The story being written here is actually captivating to the point where I want to keep reading and forget that this is an Adult VN game. When you do reach a lewd scene, it kind of pulls you back a little bit even though it eases you into the scene. You forget that you are playing a lewd game because the story is actually good.

The girls are all hot too. Like, smokin' hot. I think Nova is my favorite at the moment but it's hard to decide with such a fun and attractive cast. They are all fun and sometimes relatable personalities too. For instance, .

So far, there aren't a ton of lewd scenes which is fine. I mean, this early in a well written story, why would there be? But the ones that are in are good and actually seem to add to the story quite a lot in my opinion. We've all played a Caribdis game before and so you should know by now, they don't add lewd scenes just for the sake of being lewd.

Overall, even in it's current unfinished state as of 0.3, Eternum is by far my favorite VN, period. It's got a lot going for it and knowing Carbdis, there is a lot more to come. I'm jealous of the person in the future who gets to play this one without waiting on the next update.

Plot and setting is the best in business. Adult content might be a little far and between so far for some but it adds to the flow of the story really well.

Simply put this might be the best game on the site. Maybe not the best for pron but the best overall.

Just a quick sharing of my thoughts:
I will be approaching this as a porn game so keep that in mind.

Let's start with the story. I feel like this is one of the strong suits. I would describe it as good for a porn game at the very least.
It progresses nicely, has a decent amount of power fantasy going for it and works well enough. If it were an Anime or regular VN I would tone it down a notch and would probably call it okay.
But for a porn game it is definitely great.
I will say that the girls get a bit of fragmented attention, jumping from one to the next without too much depth.
Character development is also not at the core of the story, often it's more about the world and the protagonist.
There is a good amount of story too.

In terms of renders, those are not original models so some sense of familiarity will exist but the renders are great for a porn game.
Actually somewhat varied environments certainly helps. a minor note to me is that the cat is kind of ugly and sticks out because of it, as do some other objects.
(We have all seen that bench with the tunnel), luckily I have not found scenes like these here.

In terms of scenes, there is an okay amount of them but fairly few per girl due to there being too many of them.
The buildup also does not flow that naturally. I personally would have much preferred a smaller main cast with a slower buildup in addition to some faster side characters.

The girls themselves are great, and cater to my tastes well enough, even the large breasted woman are still somewhat proportional.
Just the protagonist has to suffer from a needlessly oversized dick, that seems to be a tech limitation if I remember correctly.

Animations of the scenes are also fine.


In terms of gameplay, it is quite the linear vn without much bs, which to me is completely fine. I did use a walkthrough mod though.

Overall I would say it's great, but I wouldn't place it completely at the top. Due to it's fragmented nature and scenes. Still good enough to keep following it.

The plot is pretty good on it's own and really good for a porn game.
There girls may not be the best renders here but they definitely are not bad, the girls themselves are all quite well grounded and I found them all at least attractive, even the milf, this is quite rare for me.

I really see no drawbacks to it, just know it is a slower burn so don't expect a million scenes, there are however still quite a few.
