TLDR - Great game with great story, definitely worth a play. If you're looking for a quick wank then this game is not for you.

I started playing this game with very low expectations, as I didn't really enjoy Caribdis's previous game. However, I was very positively surprised.

The story is very interesting and well paced. It feels like a new an interesting twist to the already well known "futuristic super realistic vr game" story, with very clear inspiration from things such as Ready Player One and SAO, which I don't mind, as it is played very well into the story, and it gives you a fun kick of dopamine when you recognize the homage to above mentioned things, as well as other fun little references in the story.

I felt very immersed and drawn into the story and it kept me on edge about what was gonna happen next. The sexual content is subtle and works very well with the rest of the story, and MC has no "overly horny" moments in the story besides the scene with Annie in the bed, which I really disliked and it totally ruined the immersion, and made me remember that I'm a pathetic creep playing adult games in the middle of the night. This progression between Annie and MC made no logical sense, and didn't benefit the story in any way.

The characters are fun and all have very clear personality differences. I especially loved Chang and all his little moments. The graphics are good and are paired really well with the ambient sound and music in the background.

5/5 stars from me. Overall one of the best VN stories I've played so far, very excited to see what the next update brings.

As of 0.2, a strong start which looks to be heading in a good direction. The focus seems to be more towards the story side of things, and the writing is well done. Character models are excellent, with good variation, and there are some great animations as well.

Sound effects and music are good too.

I've been following your games for quite a while now. I got invested the 1st time i found them. You have a way of making characters that are very engaging and worth to follow. The balance between the humor, suspense and drama is well done. As i dig deeper into the story, there is always something will surprise me- it could be an unexpected twist or a grand reveal of things- they are always impeccable. Now i can see how much you've improved your craft with this new game. You got me invested right away and the whole ride has been really worth until now. You are an artist and you have mastered your own craft.
Thanks for sharing with us this great masterpiece and i'll be eagerly looking forward to the next part of your stories.

Review: Version 0.2

Caribdis is doing it again with this game. Rarely does a game in it's second release have this much content, let alone with this level of quality.

The script is fantastic, with a great mix of dramatic, thrilling, and comedic moments. Caribdis makes good use of his side characters, and makes you excited for when they next turn up. This is not to say that the main characters are overshadowed, every Love Interest is interesting in their own way, while following a certain archetype, they rarely feel cheesy or bland.

While this leaves the MC as the weakest part of the cast, it is not to say that the game is ruined because of him. While not fully being a SI, the MC is very easy to put your shoes into with a likable character and nice, if not slightly unoriginal dialogue.

Not only is the game well written, but it is also well scored and well animated. Small animations interspersed throughout the game makes you want to slowly progress through the game instead of mash the mouse button like some other RenPy games, and the music choice during intense but also emotional scenes will make you pause, or at least read a little slower, to let the moment sink in a little more.

The game's current number of intimate scenes might be low, but each scene is well crafted, with good animations and little to no clipping or immersion-breaking stills.

I am not lying when I say that I would still play this game without the porn. Hope Caribdis keeps up this level of quality for later releases. This is a game I would not want the developer to rush.

I would call it a masterpiece in the making. Graphics are way above average, the dialogue is great too, very funny, and the characters are coherent. The universe has some boundaries set to it (although it was probably inspired by SAO) which makes it a lot more believable.

Just like Caribdis' other game, "Once In A Lifetime", this game is perfection. From the humor, to the story, to the characters, it's all incredible. The graphics have gotten even better than before. I'm just really excited to keep following this game and see where it goes.

Game quite well run both artistically, as in script and variety of options, according to your choice.

It has a captivating story, with that touch of spice in a good way that doesn't make the story lose its thread.

Its graphic section is impressive, honestly of the many games that I have proven to be one of the best, without comparing. Thing that is bad, but it does not have to envy the best games, and being much better than many already finished. For an early version, it's really excellent, I hope it doesn't lose quality at any time, such as the dedication that you see it has, and they've put into it!

This is stupid good.

So it isn't a spank bank type of story at all, but it does sex rather well.

The render are insanely beautiful, the effects and motions are better than any VN I can think of and many non VNs.

The story is actually really good and right up my alley.
This is one of the few universes where I would say that I would want to live in. Well. Minus the negative side of it that is there for the intrigue of course.

I was surprised by the amount of content too. I thought "oh, v0.2. Must have 15 minutes of content."
Nope. Feels more like maybe half the story or something.

TLDR: A great story with some tasteful nudity. Not much lewd, and no one side scene of inconsequential intercourse. (edited because I forgot about it. It was well made but irrelevant to everything).

I assume it will be a long while before more comes with this high of quality.
I wish that was now.

I was very skeptical about games with '3d anime' graphics and for a long time avoided them, but the quick rise of Eternum to top of f95 rating made me check out what was so amazing there. And, man, how wrong I was all this time.
Caribdis has really changed my mind now about this sort of games and visual doesn't bother me anymore, I even find it sorta beautiful.
Whole game can be described as a movie in every sense. A lot of genres was mixed together, but somehow everything works wonderfully. Humor works, really laughed at some points. The potential of the game is so huge, damn, given the presence of two worlds, one of which can take absolutely any form, and this is a killer feature from Caribdis. When I saw a noir detective horror, parody of Outlast and whole conclusion with this mystery, it was this damn moment when the dev "sold" me this game. Simply brilliant, and I'm eagerly looking forward to more great cinematic moments.

Great characters and humor, tense horror, nice boobs. it's a little light on the NSFW content but where I'd usually feel that detracts from my enjoyment I actually ended up completely engrossed by the story and characters, can't wait for future updates.

What if Ready Player One but good and somehow less induldgent even though it's literally a porn game? Well then you have Eternum. The dev's previous work has been good and this has the potential to be even better. All the girls so far are great in their own way and the obilgatory old lady is easily avoidable. Great stuff.

The renders and animations are top notch, while the story is super enjoyable.

Yeah, there is not a ton of sex content yet but honestly you lose track of that just engaging with the story and characters.

Also, one of the few games were honestly the sound and music does a play a positive role and is worth enabling. Can't wait to see where it goes from here and hoping for massive updates every single day since I'm so drawn in!

1.Some of the best HS models I've seen, though if not a bit generic at times, specifically the MC. But that's pretty true for every male MC
2.Nice change of world design from the usual cookie cutter house/school theme. (yes, the HS and House are there but they seem unique in design and are not the main/only location) I see Sci-Fi I try it. Also very minimal use of Emergency Floatation Devices on female characters, also a big win for me.
3.The writing.. probably some of the best on F95. I haven't tried Caribdis' first game but now I must. The "End up like Lieutenant Dan" bit had me dieing!
4.One of the very few games on this site I've tried where the story is what keeps me entertained. That alone earns 5 stars from me!

It's enjoyable. There was a nice chunk of content to go through, and you get a nice long scene with just about everyone.

I'll be interested in seeing where the game goes, but if the last big drop just happened, I probably won't check in for a year at this rate.

I have played for a bit, and i think i can give a proper review.

The humor in this VN is good, even though im not usually much for humor.

The story is great. I like the idea of there being a "real world" and Eternum, so well done on that part.

Grammar is almost flawless.

The biggest issue i find about the VN is the MC.
Hes honestly quite plain and immature, both appearance and personality wise.

He has a very naive mindset where he keeps acting with too much kindness and being to eager to please and be helpful

I'm not saying being kind and helpful is bad, but too much of these and you'll give the impression of a simp or someone too easy to take advantage of.
Or maybe thats just me?

Also MC got fooled by Luna not once, not twice, but like 4 times(iirc) which is kinda crazy, wont he learn?




Then again i dont remember how old the MC is supposed to be, if he's like 14-15 years old then i suppose this personality is pretty fitting, however if he's supposed to be in his late teens to early twenties then i would suggest creating a more mature MC

MCs personality aside i truly like this VN and look forward to seeing it develop into something great in the future

TL / DR - Eternum's comedy, beauty, and somewhat novel concept overpowered its numerous flaws.

Pros
~The humor in this game had me cackling heartily very consistently.
~Some of the most beautiful renders I have ever seen
~MC looks pretty good
~Servers in the Eternum realm allow the game to transcend genre, which gives it flexibility in storytelling.
~Multiple different narrative tensions to chew cud over.

Cons:
~Mc kinda looked like a child
~Mcs inner monologue was annoying and really boring. Author should consider more of a "show don't tell" strategy in general.
~Some of the classic horny game tropes are at play hyperbolically.
~"Chosen one" plot is generally a little boring.
~ Pacing within the Eternum realm is far too fast. There isn't much build up.

Well paced and great story with a nice mix of humor and sex. The models and animated scenes are well done with plenty to see.

Just finished 0.2. I'm stunned. This is hands down, the best game on this website I have ever played.

I have never seen characters with such unique and interesting personalites. Like I literaly thought multiple times, "Dang. If this game lets me settle down with one girl, this would be the girl I would choose." Except about all of them.

I have never seen such a funny, well written story with so many different elements before. Oh, you want a classic high school trope? Got that covered. Oh, you also want a SAO level masterpiece of a VR game? Got that covered too. But you also want at home romantic/erotic encounters with your family? What do you know, got that covered too. I HAVE NEVER BEEN SO ENTERTAINED BY A GAME BEFORE!

Now to the sexual content. This definetly doesn't feel like the point of this game. I think that is a strength. I'm much more turned on by more realistic (if still exagerated) situations than I am by most of the crap in this type of game. There isn't a huge amount of nudity, but it's more than enough to get off a couple of times, and the quality of the characters and animations is stunning.

PLAY THIS GAME. The first thing I did after finishing it was pledge to this genius's patreon, and I hope you will to.

Another upcoming masterpiece by Caribdis.

Characters and Story (9/10):
The characters and the world are flushed out with funny easter eggs. The characters feel like they can feel; they seem human and behave uniquely.
The story has mystery and sci-fi elements.

Sex (?/10):
There isn't much in this dept until this point (compared to the story), but that's welcome how the girls have value and are not just dolls for sex.
Not to say there isn't anything, but if your only objective is to see some bonking, you might be disappointed for now.

Enjoyment (10/10):
The humor is ever-present and surprises you pleasantly. The mystery is there, and the story seems to be the main focus. The world looks amazing. The graphics are 'anime-styled,' but that helps me with the story in this case. The music is well chosen and helps a lot with the immersion.

Overall (9.5/10):
I can't wait for the following updates. I want to know what happens next in the story; the fabulous girls and the already foreshadowed sex are just a massive plus.

Fantastic game.

I care more about the plot, characters setting than the porn at this point. If you're into gamelit and VRMMO themes there's a 100% chance you'll love this.

Speaking of the porn, there isn't that much of it in the current version but what's there is good and worth it.
