VN - Ren'Py - Eternum [v0.9.2] [Caribdis]

Really, really good game. One of the best I've found here. Don't expect a lot of explicit content in proportion to whole content (mind you, it doesn't mean there is none!). The quality of characters and story more than makes up for it.

I started the game in v0.4, now that I've played v0.5... no words, it automatically became one of my favorite games, no words to describe how incredibly well built the game world is so far and the personalities of all the protagonists.

THE GOOD
The good thing, seems to me EVERYTHING. I mean, the settings, the plots, the design of the characters, the personalities of each one are very well done (which are different from each other), it seems to me that everything is well done, I see that there is an evolution in terms of animation between 0.4 and 0.5, it feels softer and let's say more erotic...
The construction of the world. in this new update, he expanded the lore of this universe, it really makes you wonder, is eternum really a game or is it something else... i mean the lore is expanding in a very wide and well built way, really the creator, thought everything right and not just "let's put this in the story just because", because each situation within the game fits perfectly with past and future parts
The personalities of the protagonists are similar to each other, different tastes, different speaking styles, certainly not the typical game where there are many FMC and they all have almost the same personality, here in this game each one of the protagonists is well built.
The fact that at first the game doesn't make you "I'm the mc, I talk 2-3 minutes with any fmc and I have relationships" seems to me the most relevant thing, I mean it's a game that really intends to have a Very well developed story with the plus of erotic content, because even if we suppose that this game is not +18 with adult content, even so its story is very, very interesting.

THINGS TO IMPROVE
I feel that there are several characters that were left a bit to one side... but this may just be my perception, I mean the same as soon as v0.5. For example, the best friend of the protagonist Chang, a hundred times in the story one forgets about him and when he appears you think "Ah! this guy existed in the game" I mean, they present him to you as a close friend of the protagonist, and although of the few participations that he makes are important, at least in v0.4, I feel that this character is not used much... but as I said, it's just my perception, the game is still in version 0.5, they may abuse more of it later Chang or not, but at least that's what I perceive... Besides, it would be hilarious to see a date of him with Micaela HAHAHA...

THE BAD
I really don't see anything wrong with the game, I mean, there are some other situations that I feel are a bit forced, but they are minimal things of my personal taste. Something that in particular if I suddenly don't like is the output of the versions, I mean from my perception, I feel that the outputs from one version to another are very extensive, of course this may be due to the fact that the creator takes his time to develop a good story and not just release empty content or that suddenly works alone. But hey, this is just my perception, in itself it is not something bad that we say.

So far, a really excellent game that engages, I'm really excited, because I want to know what happens after the end of v0.5, I want to see how the creator expands the world and I want to know how the protagonist will do with all the relationships developing around him.I recommend the game, really something worth investing time in.

It doesn't get any better than Eternum. Smart, funny, engrossing - just the best VN out there. It is a masterpiece and I've enjoyed every minute playing this game.

The story has unlimited possibilities by visiting virtual worlds and interacting with characters in both the "physical" and VW. Can it get a little corny? Yes, but that is all part of the charm.

Damn and I thought this type of game are mostly trash and only porn, I was wrong the story was exceptional. Never thought I was so wrong in my life. This is one of the best game I have played. Imagine really playing this game in triple A format that would be a game changer. This open my eyes to play this type of games.

Clear 5 stars.

Witty, gripping, and just an all-around great experience. Caribdis carries on with their excellent game design displayed in OIAL and even surpasses it with Eternum.

The setting is great giving not only one world, but two with the Eternum realms (or more if you count all the servers.) The characters are just fun to be around with enough variety to satisfy just about anyone.

The graphics are honestly very impressive and immersive. The girls look great and unique. I wanted to get to know them and see more of them and the game hasn't disappointed so far in that regard.

There's just so much flavor in the game and it keeps it fresh. You bounce around from comedy to sexy to horror and back to comedy multiple times without the flow feeling unnatural or forced. Each day brings something new and that truly is a great feat.

I think it's clear at this point that Caribdis knows how to make an entertaining VN and it isn't a surprise Eternum tops the weighted rating charts of F95.

One to watch, one to play, one to support. If the current level of quality continues, we very well could be looking at one of the greatest western-made Visual Novels.

Gets the mix of stunning visuals (including effects rarely seen in VNs), cool/sexy/adorable/funny characters, an engaging "damn, I want to know what happens next!" plot, good jumpscares (especially for a non-realtime game!) and good comedy just right.

Top notch game/VN, can't wait for the next update!

Engaging plot, excellent writing, love the movie references and the jokes actually made me laugh a lot, this is easily one of my top favorite NSFW games of all times and it's not even finished

Really the story is decent and the main character looks like at his age. Art style is good or i say better. I enjoyed this game. This story has something that catch me untile last time. Really like it

This is pretty creative and has a lot of content. I'm not even done yet. Still, I just feel like the dialogue can be pretty long-winded. There are some parts that make me chuckle but it just gets kind of tedious at some point. It just gets too boring to read all of it.
That is literally the only thing I can say that I don't like about the game. Everything else is so beyond the scope of a typical VN that I still think I should give it 5 stars.

I'll try to write an extended commentary on the game. The game is definitely worth playing. First of all, the story. I think we don't even need to talk about it. Everybody is fed up with milfs, incest, colleges and other crap. In Eternity the plot absorbs you into a whirl of interesting and exciting events unfolding in virtual reality, not letting you go literally for a minute, presenting each time something interesting. Secondly, the humour, the references, the narration. The author has very coolly thought out his game universe. What about the visit to the spaceport in the last part? Suspense, mystery and a quiet breath of *something*. Oh, and about the "0.4 wasn't impressive, no sex" thing, you can go play a bunch of other dumb games where you jump on the MC right at the beginning of the game. The author develops the story smoothly, paying more attention to the story without chasing the stupid stereotypical behaviour of the characters. masterpiece, I recommend it!

The humour in the story makes up for how silly the plot is, which isn't necessarily negative from a chronological or overall standpoint. But it's by no means the least likely element of the tale. I can't give this anything less than 5 stars.

The fact that Caribdis' writing is simply outstanding definitely helps. The fact that I never skip a line of conversation in his game tells something in and of itself. The plot advances at a respectable speed, there is intrigue and action, but all of this serves as as a vehicle to offer lots of hot sequences to satisfy my repulsive cravings. It strikes that perfect balance between being porn with a story and having a story that actually makes sense and isn't completely absurd.
Additionally amazing are the sound effects and music

If you are looking for a good game to spend some time on, it doesn't get better than this. Every update delivers more great scenes, comedy and story. The plot is actually interesting, the romance is cute and the music is on point.

This is a masterpiece, no doubt about that. The graphics, story, humor are all improvements on authors previous game. The idea of eternum is quite genius to justify multiple settings, puzzles and interactions. Even though I am not a big fan of anime faces this game is just too good to pass by. And yes, the music and sound effects really make the gameplay so much better.

I have never played a Ren'py game before that was actually good at both storyline and animation. In all my years of experience, Eternum brings out the usual, linear approach of these kinds of games. It's definitely not your usual REN'PY game. +bonus points: to the comedic parts of the game and the wide plot that makes it more engaging and mysteriously satisfying.

The models are good, yes itas a 5 star rating and doesn't start so good. Animations are scarce but good quality. BUT the story is where it shines, I don't know if it's just that it ticks all the right boxes for me, but is inmersive, original and the theme is perfect.

This is the only game I've played so far that let me know what sheer, complete immersion is really like.
Its remarkably sophisticated visuals, highly engaging plot, and vast game universe are surpassed by none, I dare to say.
FWIW, I've played versions 0.3 and 0.4 of this cinematic, literary masterpiece.
I wish there were a VR VERSION as well.

Legitimately one of, if not the most, innovative and groundbreaking visual novels on f95. Stunning art and animation, fantastic use of sound and music, and a story that is engaging and complex, but not too hard to follow. The game's characters, from main ones to incidental ones, are written so well. Pushes the limits of what a VN can be.
