Well. I have no idea what's going on.
Yesterday I did a Windows update & Now every time i turn on my PC
I get that "BING" Sound when you plug in a USB. Because of that i'm losing 50% of my Icons on my desktop.

My External Hard drive is plugged in at all times in that same USB Slot.
it never has done this before. It acts like on every startup it's a new Drive that has been plugged in.

it also opens the File explorer.exe to my Harddrive on startup.
Any ideas?

I know that the new Windows Update caused a lot of problems and Microsoft is advising not to install it.

I don't know if the problem that you are having is related to that because i haven't read the whole article yet, but the part that i read said that people are losing a lot of stuff.

Sorry to inform you but the new update is deleting files ._.

If you're a victim of this data loss bug, Microsoft suggests via a local customer service phone number. They also urge users not to install the 1809 update if they've downloaded it manually, and to wait until new media becomes available.
