It's a porn gacha game, basically. Completely with all of the money-sink features you could ever want in such a thing.

Why focus on getting the game to a feature-complete state for a general release when having it as a demo on steam drives thousands of Patreon subs? And as a bonus also means no user reviews pointing out the extreme monetization or lack of a real development roadmap.

Don't fall for it.

So there's no rogue-like mode? and yeah it's crazy that ppl haven't expose these guys for doing this. Like the game looks great and I really the sci-fi theme, but I was kinda interested in the rogue-like action gamemode.

There is no gameplay outside the gacha currency grinding slop. Helius has been lying about the campaign for years.

Most new customers don't see this though as their only exposure pre-purchase is the Patreon and (possibly) the Steam community forums. Both of which are moderated by the developer. So long as Patreon don't develop a review system and the game doesn't lunch on Steam this is unlikely to change.

after consulting with astronauts, scientists, and an authentic Japanese person (through a pane of reinforced glass for safety), i have developed a UI element which i propose might be added to this thread by the web admin. i hypothesize this would save everyone a lot of time that could otherwise have been spent cranking our respective hogs/whatever women do when masturbating (shopping???)

That's just my own thought, but possibly it's because Operation Lovecraft: Fallen Doll on Steam is just a demo(v0.34) and Operation Lovecraft Fallen Doll PLAYTEST or CLOSED BETA, where keys can be distributed however he wants. Im not sure Steam has any rules about Patreon-locked content, so Gandonius isn't violating Steam's ToS. Obviously, the new rule about adult content updates needing to be posted as DLC won't apply here, because it's a PlayTest. However, if someone makes a serious attempt, it might actually lead to results.

There's scenes with a pig, to be short you can find enough of bestiality in game. Also "The developers describe the content like this: ... forced sex scenes ... " that steam actively bans. Normally, neither Steam nor Patreon should be allowing such content.
