Download the correct patch file (i.e. if you have steam version, you need a steam EN 1.0.9 patch) and extract in in the www folder.
There are no other steps. I can only guess that you tried to use wrong patch.

what do you need? finishing main story isnt that hard though, collecting CGs are the real hard work unless you use unlock all after ending
Any way to enable ghost mode like in joiplay but for pc? Nearing the end on my vanilla playthrough but the thought of doing all those puzzles again is tiring..

It seems they've finally fixed most of the game's bugs. According to the developer, version 1.09 is the most stable, and they recommend starting a new game to avoid errors. Personally, I'll wait for the DLC and some quality-of-life improvements, like less grinding and event tweaks, before playing it. The good news is that they're already addressing the game's issues. Let's hope the DLC brings plenty of quality erotic content that enriches the game's storyline and encourages players to explore the NTR surrounding the little sister.
