I've been debating in my head whether to write out this review, as I planned to do it once the ending part of the game came into play, and the story fell off the cliff, as is so often the case in NTR. But considering I am no longer excited to play this game anymore, and may return to it once it's finished, I think that time has come now. I decided from the start, that I'd review it once I've lost interest, and I've lost interest.
They subverted expectations. The game claims that you won't miss anything if you play both routes, but you miss something major in the FMC's route. If all you care about is the cuck's route, this is fine, but considering how big of a stepping stone the particular scenes you miss from FMC's pov, it feels like a slap in the face. I'm not accepting mental gymnastics as an explanation for why the FMC is barely, if at all, corrupted during these scenes (her first deepthroat and so many more depraved firsts).
Azienda has always been strong on their female characters, but weak on their cardboard cutout cucks who follow the typical NTR tropes. You've probably heard it before, a wimp with a tiny dick (who happens to also be one of the best crime fighting agents in the country... but he's a wimp). I've never cared before about their poorly written cucks, because their FMC's deliver in the quality I want in a NTR game. But if you're going to make the cuck the sole focus of the story or critical scenes, then I'm going to criticise bad writing. Which goes back to subverted expectations, the dev claimed that mystery NTR was only optional, and you won't miss anything in the FMC's route.
They're either going to have to skip past the FMC's corruption in this release, very gutting but fair enough (they could get creative here too and save it), or they're going to pay more fan service to the mystery NTR lovers and write out that she's barely corrupted after a ton of devious actions. That lands right into silly territory, it's not believable, thus not immersive.
Azienda has a strong work ethic, brilliant animations, awesome BGM, and they reliably release updates in a certain timeframe. But they have never been good writers, and for me, it's writing that'll help them get out of this...I don't have high hopes they will fix it, so I'm not going to put those hope up for the next update, and risk feeling let down again. Better to expect the worst, and be pleasantly surprised; rather than be really excited, and let down.
I wish the developers luck.
