I love this game, wish there was more permanence to choice/transforms, and obviously wished there was more content.
Pros:
Subject matter is hot.
The transforms are hot.
The AI renders are pretty good, and the character all look consistent. No weird hands/eyes that I could see. And I'm excited at the prospect of more outfits.
The events that are there, while few, are all very hot. And I like that the game encourages you to explore by rewarding you with more unlock points.
Cons:
The first level seems way harder than the second level. It took me like 15 runs before I got a good understanding of mechanics, but even then getting through the first level is a bit of a slog. Level 2 seems comparatively way easier, neither the mini boss or the boss seemed to scare me much.
I wish there was more we could do with the unlock points than just investing in skills. Overall I'd say there seems to be too many different kinds of points. might be better if it was simplified to just upgrade points + essence.
Perma transforms/unlocks rearding special outfits or something would be hot. I don't get the point of showing us the cowgirl TF sequence and then not really doing anything with it afterwards. If it unlocked as an outfit/skill class or something that would be wicked and give players a lot more replay value and things to work towards.
Wish there were more random events and not just straight combat most of them time with the same enemies.
The gameplay loop could be really fun if there was some variety that was mixed in similar to hades once the game detects you've hit some of the soft caps.
Overall, I really enjoyed the 5 or so hours I got out of this before hitting end of current content. I hope this continues and the dev builds up from this very solid foundation.
