I would like to understand better a fetish I have mixed feelings for. I am considering trying to write a father-daughter story but I would like to know the dos and dont's first.

Do you know any games you can recommend to me as the gold standard? (I only played Dating my Daughter, which was fine). Any tips in general? Any pitfall I should avoid?

I feel like this is another one those kinks where there's at least three separate branches. the loving set-up where father does all he can to not hurt his daughter, and the abusive set-ups where father is either grooming his daughter or actively seeks to abuse her.

the first one plays on the theme of true love, that there's 'the right one' for you even if it happens to unfortunately be your father/daughter. this is the 'love conquers all' branch.

the grooming one often has at least superficially benevolent father who seeks to indoctrinate/corrupt his daughter into either a loving romantic relationship or into a willing fuck doll. the daughter doesn't perceive herself being abused, but she would've never ended up having sex with her father without him pushing her in that direction. (I've often wondered if 'light of my life' belongs in this grooming category or the true love one. it reads like true love one, but also it's pretty clear the dad is grooming them even if he's almost impossibly considerate about it. it's a great game btw, especially if you feel F/D is generally cringe.)

I'm sure there's more branches, like an abusive daughter preying on her father, but the above three distinctions are probably the first choice you need to make.

I think i now exactly what game you're talking about. A character like that comes of as pathetic and weak. Its like he's the one getting groomed.


I think it would be fun to do something like this in a post-apocalyptic world, a recent apocalipse. The first part of the story would be just 2 characters, the father and the daughter. The mother died during the apocalypse, and the daughter was too young and doesn't really remember the before time. It gives you a reason to explain the backstory and just have them talk and interact as the father tells stories and stuff. It also keeps your set small, cabin in the woods. I think this would work best with an arctic environment, cozy time under blankets and sticking together for warmth, but DAZ and snowy environments are pretty much nonexistent, and heavy clothing is also in short supply and difficult to work with.

As she grows, she starts to look more and more like her mother. Man has needs, stressed out of his mind keeping them alive, and stuff starts to happen. doesn't go too far, but it's clear that it's more than what a man should do with his daughter.

Stuff happens related to whatever apocalipse, and they join up with a large group of survivors. You do this to build up more tension and to add to the fact that they have to keep whatever is happening ilicit. I think this is an important part of the kink.

You have the MC be unsure and guilty because of what he did; he still has most of the old-world morals, and now he has options for women. Did he want her because she reminded him of his wife? Was he just horny and stressed, or does he actually like her as a woman?

The daughter will have good survival skills but be super naive and socially awkward because, yeah, pretty much her whole life she has only spent time with her dad. The only person she knows she trusts absolutely. It will be a good reason to have her lack common sense when it comes to relationships and just people in general while not having her be an actual child or mentally retarded like what most people do.

You introduce more characters; you have the daughter make some friends; maybe she lets slip some of the things she did with her dad because she doesn't even know that those things are weird. You can have some jealousy from the dad because some of the boys are paying a bit too much attention to her, etc.

Maybe a storyline where the daughter catches the father cheating on her mother with another girl, compensation dating?

They have a heart-to-heart, since the mother is so dedicated to her work as a big powerful CEO or partner in a law firm he claims that she's been ever so slightly neglecting him sexually, this fact is unknown to the mother which seemingly from what the father states is creating an undercurrent of tension in the marriage.

He doesn't want to make a fuss, especially seeing as mom works so hard for him and the family as a whole which he's so grateful for. He wants to do everything to spare the mother's feelings.

Then the father makes some delicate manoeuvres in the conversation, subtly tempting the daughter so that she might take on some of the mother's "duties" in her place... for the good of the family of course.

I think I played a zombie game like that some time ago. It was pretty solid.

My take on this genre. Don't be a pussy. A father getting sexual with his "18 year old" daughter is bad parenting at best and a literal crime in most cases. I don't give a fuck if the daughter initiates. So there is nothing more cringe inducing than the typical daddy daughter stories that tries to make it seem wholesome or romantic. It's grooming. So own it and go with a corruption theme.

Of course, I'm talking about the daddy daughter style of incest genre where the daughter is very clearly depicting a minor in both appearance and personality. If it's a clearly adult daughter, a romantic spin on it could make sense if the writing supports the unusual relationship dynamics due to some backstory.
