This is not a porn game, if you want a gallery game, a ryona sidescroller or a battlefuck RPG go back and keep searching, this game is just a plain old good game that's here because some fuckers have a dismemberment fetish, or that's what i get because otherwise this game literally has no reason being here
This game is (obviously) a sequel to the original F&H situated some centuries after the first game, in this game you can control 8 of the 14 participants of a culling game called the termina festival, what happens, where you go in the abandoned town of prehevil and who dies is entirely up to you and the moonscorched horrors that lurk in the shadows
The gameplay is good, the atmosphere is dark and deranged and the music FUCKS there is not much to say about the game except that it's extremely hard and you're prolly gonna need a guide if you want to make good progress on your first hours
Don't listen to the purist that say that you have to die a million times to experience true fear and hunger or some shit, if you are unsure of where to go or how to fight a certain enemy just google it, no shame in doing it
5 stars is not enough, support Miro Havenrinen and buy this game in steam if you like what you're seeing

I invested 30 hours in this game and saw a lot, the sequel to Fear and Hunger is even better, this time there are twice as many characters you can play and an even more connected world. There are three times of the day where the whereabouts of the others change and after one day, even a lot changes. Everything is somehow connected as you find the abysses of humanity. Dark and brutal like its predecessor.

I completely misjudged this and its predecessor the first time i encountered them. Mostly because I went in with the wrong mindset.

Both games I can totally understand people can bounce off of or get upset by some of the content. However its kind of beautiful in how uncompromising and bold it is. While a lot of it is in the kind of not-exactly photoreal rpgm stylings, the violence and scenarios are very explicit and it has a dark, uncomfy artstyle for its assets.

Brutally difficult (without experience and hindsight) and if I had one main complaint it is that some gameplay elements could really do with a bit more explanation. I don't mean in the sense of longwinded handholding and not for stuff like runes, where figuring them out is part of the experience. Just some basic gameplay pointers so people dont always go straight for guides.

Combat is brutally tough, a lot of the game will be trial and error but the difficulty lives in harmony with the themes and presentation and the struggle is essential to the journey. It wouldnt be the same without it and I implore you to not let it frustrate you but skip all the grief and go straight to acceptance so you too can reach enlightenment through your suffering and cherish the sweet victories.

Don't think this is just some cheap torture porn story with slapdash gameplay. Anyone can just make up some dark stuff for shock value, but this isn't just some lazy shocker, this has depth and care. A puzzle of a plot, #deeplore and a method to the madness.

Over time this game changed for me from something I would uninstall after a few minutes to an inspiration for whats possible and how much originality can still be found by remixing simple building blocks of gameplay resulting in quite some emergent complexity.

Ive rambled on long enough: 5/5 but very much beware and be smart about wether this is for you

Great horror, great tactical RPG but intense trial and error type of game.

Unless you go spoil yourself and watch tutorials online, this game will take you ages to complete. I just wish there was a complete in-game tutorial about debuffs, and not just about combat.

The game also doesn't explain how to unlock skills from the skill tree. This is a RNG based as well PLUS you have limited saves meaning if you have a bad RNG you're basically screwed.

On top of that, if you're here for some h-content, forget it. This is a 99% horror oriented game as far as i know.

It's difficult for me to recommend this game to someone who hasn't played the original. Funnily enough, I heavily DON'T recommend downloading this game from f95. You can hop on steam right now and buy this and the original game for a nice even 20 bucks, and, frankly, given the immense amount of work the one (1!) dev put into both the original game and this sequel, I'd say he's more than earned 20 bucks from those who want to play it.

If you haven't played the original game, I highly recommend that you take the time to do so, BUT, and I warn you of this sincerely: please don't go into these games expecting the same typical rpgm combat you've probably been drowned in by games on this site. The combat is *presented* in a way that's familiar but, without spoiling some of the fun of these games, I won't tell you anything other than this: treat EVERY single combat encounter as a boss fight, don't be afraid to run, talking isn't always futile, and in my opinion, most importantly, you are GOING to die, no two ways about it, and that's okay.

F&H and Termina are a combination of immersive sim, survival horror, and, in some ways, the tiniest shred of a roguelike. Keep in mind that there's not actually any xp to be gained from fighting. You don't level up as this is not an RPG.

This and its predecessor are two of the ABSOLUTE BEST games to ever be borne of the RPGmaker engine, hence my recommendation that you buy them rather than pirate them here.

This game, and it's prequel, will drive you mad as you delve into their depths, trying anything and everything to make it just a step deeper. You may take a few days to slog through it to your first ending, like me, or, it may take you MONTHS to make it to the end. Everyone's experience with these games will be a little different.

Don't be driven mad by things you can't change, you're only human, after all, in a world that doesn't care about you or your desires. You're just a slave to your fear and hunger.

Roguelike RPGmaker game with a lot of content and innovative gameplay, might be a bit unintuitive for new players but with better understanding of its nuance it's actually not that hard.
Althought it can be frustrating at times especially with inventory management being tedious after certain points simply due to the scale of the game or how little information/poorly conveyed some mechanics can be which leads to the need for trial and error.

Game takes inspiration from pretty much... everything. Resident evil, dark souls, castlevania, beserk(more so in first game), etc... Survival horror meets JRPG. Big fan of the art. Miro, the creator, definitely created something special and unique by mish-mashing all of this together. Setting is essentially one big town with monsters running amok, taking course of the period of 3 days. There's a lot of freedom in where you go and where characters are located depending on the time frame. High replayability with multiple protagonists, endings, and randomized loot.

    However...
Not really a lewd game but still a game worth trying. It's difficulty is definitely not going to be for everyone. It's worth noting it is much more forgiving than the first game, and death is fairly avoidable if you're careful. Guarding negates coinflip attacks altogether if you know they are coming. Don't have to fight every encounter. Try different strats. Don't be afraid to try new things and exploring new areas. Things get a lot easier once you find party members and start understanding the combat system. Approach this game with the same mind-set as playing a rogue-like IMO, and you'll have a good time.

My main complaints are relatively minor. Although I am in favor of limited saving as a game play mechanic, I wish there was a quicksave option so that I could split up play sessions. Miro has mentioned the possibility of it before, and would likely come in a future update. He's an artist first, with limited programming knowledge, hence the use of RPGM to do most of the work.
Another complaint I have is that the English is rough at times / typos are somewhat commonplace. But given that it's not his first language (I think), and that he's the only guy working on it, I can forgive it. Or maybe that's just how eastern Europeans talk lol. Better than machine translation any who.

I don't really play horror games because I'm a big baby, but this game lives rent free in my head.

Its a good concept, but a poorly made game. Not much more to add. The other reviews have said the same issues with that I've had playing this game. On top of that it just another Zombie game this genre has beating into the ground,

Was all hyped up, liked atmosphere and lore of the first part, but hoped for more social interactions, quests, semi-open world, etc. No, it's the same stupid dungeon or dungeon-like town that you have to replay 100 times, constantly avoiding enemies and searching for randomly generatied shit. I was really waiting for the game these years, played a few demos, but now, when it's completed, it feels just annoying.

a horror rpg maker game where you have limited chance to save the game.

you either fight or run from enemies in a cramped corridor like map both outdoor and indoor.

multiple starting character are available for you to choose including their background perk unless you skip their introductory background.

Enemies are kill able except the prologue which is a tutorial to remind you that running away is an option.
    [correction : he is beatable]

this game doesn't bring the best out of combat experience, Strong monster have a chance to instant kill you and the only way to kill them without cheating is basically survive these coin flip RNG.

this might sound great until you remember you have limited chance to save the game and this RNG gonna Cost your time as in real life time to redo everything over again.

did i also mention Running away could end up failed?
it won't kill your character on a single failure to run, but i am sure it will cost an arm or a leg.

these RNG might feel horrible but it's a good game.

    now speaking about horror part,
i feel nothing dreadful about the game horror aspect except gruesome chore because i need to get my save quota before i stop playing.

i am sure the horror aspect of this game is outshadowed by player urge to take a break after long hour of playing but can't stop.

edit : i realized you can save when you rest on bed.
this game did me dirty because my first rest got interrupted with cutscene.

The short take: Fun demo, with quite a lot of content in it. Give it a try if you're a fun of the last game or you want something real grim.

The longer take: I wouldn't consider Termina to be a sequel to the last game, due to it's cannon ending. This is more or less a game taking place in the same universe but long after what happen in the dungeon of the Fear and Hunger.

I don't wanna spoil a lot about the game, so I'm just going to talk about a few features within this demo. Those are:
-That they added guns, which you can use to fire upon the enemy before an engagement is started, giving you a big advantage or outright killing them if you feel like wasting all of your ammo on fewer enemies.

-More characters than before, each with different set of skills, backstories and reasons for why they may have came to the haunted town in which the Fear and Hunger game takes place.

-New or a different variation of the old skills in addition to the ones you've had in the previous game.

    RPGMaker DarkSouls-Lovecraft horror/gore adventure.
IT IS DIFFICULT, YOU WERE WARNED. No whining you died in first 15 mins please. You may not find porn/ero content in this game.

Amount of work author dedicated to this game is astonishing. RPGMaker stuff is so much altered I rarely saw. Lots of custom art and coding. Good mood, very dark, DarkSouls-like.

Mods and cheating tools help a lot if you don't want to die THAT easy :)
