Depends on what you mean by RPG. For JPRG, I recommend SKA, which isn't grindy (i.e. repetitive), but is gameplay-heavy and challenging on Normal difficulty. If you more liberally mean something that has stats and choices, maybe Alansya Chronicles and KoD would apply, and they're good, though I'd struggle to really call them RPGs myself.

Some more JRPGs:

Curse of Kubel
Makina
Detective Steam City
Thanks. I meant something like "A Bitch JK In An RPG", "Choice of Xixrelk", "Karryn's Prison", so you know, not heavy RPGs, just some kind of RPG element in it. "Princess Escape" also is pretty cool.

A Drow's Life - very little grind, most fights aren't very hard, the escape minigame is often disliked
Paccsu - a little more challenging but still not really hard
No Escape - the primary focus in battles is on avoiding capture and escaping from traps and all rather than quickly defeating enemies
