I didn't have the cronox version previously, started with SableNyx version. The gallery is unlocked for me but there's no option to start the dlc, it just tells me to buy it instead

Then it might be your save that could be corrupted. After the DLC the game has become very buggy, and devs are also modifying code in the Steam builds. Always do a whole backup of your saves, most games you can see here always corrupt saves or are not compatible.
