Others - Femdom City M.A.N.T.I.S. [v0.9.5] [Darktoz]

I feel like some of the reviews here are a bit black and white, I’ll try to spell out the pros and cons in a balanced manner. Darktoz produces games in this vein – speculative fiction femdom matriarchy sandbox visual novels. They tend to feature a load of hard femdom kink in a universe full of cruel domineering women and weak pathetic males. If that is not to your taste I would not recommend playing these games.

This is not the developer’s most recent offering, and it shows – the art is somewhat dated, the animations, the textures, the backgrounds… Not the worst ever, it still has some appeal, but it’s not competitive quality in this day and age. Generally speaking this is the case for the whole production quality. The music can get quite repetitive, and unfortunately the volume settings are broken so it cannot be turned down or off. As far as art direction goes, though, I do like a number of the female models – cool punk looks, etc. Unfortunately the MC and males are appalling looking. Grindy mechanics, but nothing like as grindy as some of the developer’s earlier entries.

Narratively there are clearly defined factions, characters and agendas, and the somewhat hammy main plotline is somewhat intriguing. As a porn game the writing is not really my favoured femdom dynamic – I find impersonal matriarchal femdom lacks the erotic thrill of consensual personal femdom. Still, it’s not as bad as some other femdom games in this vein and some of the woman are quite likable.

The erotic content has some merit – I am a fan of the hard femdom kink stuff. There is a fair variety of styles as well. A lot of the sex acts are communicated through fairly clunky animations – not my preferred delivery vehicle.

There is a very large cast of women covering a lot of different aesthetics and kinks. Many don’t have much content and only a handful have endings. Still, overall there is a lot of content. I think the developer basically outgrew this project and moved on the next but returned to slap a few endings on. In a way, this is to be applauded – too many developers trudge on with an increasingly outdated project, and I think Darktoz’s new game is better quality anyway. However, I can’t deny I’d love to see more content with some of these characters, or endings (Lilith, Bella, Tanya, Mary – these characters even somewhat allude to an ending with them). Bit of a tall ask though.

In terms of performance, after day 18 or around there something makes the save files suddenly take a lot longer to load – not so well optimised. Over time these loading times get longer and longer and more prone to crashes. I personally found that after about 25% of the way into the game the save files would mainly no longer load at all. This is a problem many have had. I can’t overstate how bad this was – I had to play the last 75% of the game without closing it or reloading.

Overall I have to give credit for the scale and range of the game and its characters, the enjoyable tone and the focus on hot femdom kink. I also have to subtract points for some very serious bugs and jank, as well as the dated graphics and animations. So, 3 star overall.

I don't think the game is well-written. To begin with, the game boasts a massive cast of characters. But every character is so one-dimensional. Every woman is a bitch; every man is a loser. And when there are no interesting or likeable characters, I can't care about the story or worldbuilding.

The gameplay isn't good either. It's incredibly monotonous and easy to get to $200 every 10 days, especially as the game goes on. The music is obnoxious and the menu to turn it down doesn't work. Though I am grateful that this game gives you the option to pursue whichever fetishes interest you.

But I don't think the game works well as porn either. I like the MC model, but some girls look either ugly or fall into the uncanny valley. In other games, they sometimes include some form of narration to describe the sex scenes. I don't remember there being any narration in this game, which means you rely more on animation, which is basically a PowerPoint presentation.

If you like femdom, avoid. There are better femdom games out there.

I like the concept but it has massive problems.

Story is fine, good enough for the setting.

Characters are very boring and a lot feel very similar.

Art is unique I like it, though sometimes the faces look weird and the MC could be a bit cuter, but maybe that wasn´t planned so that´s okay.

Sex scenes are wayyyyy too long, especially kicking, punching "animation" they take ages, you can luckily skip but that´s no positiv, they also feel very repetitive but atleast there is a decent amount of fetishes.

The gameplay is grindy and boring nothing else.

Music is fitting but gets annoying after a while.

But I would still recommend it, if you are into the fetishes.

If you are into femdom/male submission this is a fantastic game.

Roughly half of the interactions are futa (chicks with dicks), and the other half being full women. You can sometimes choose a path between those and can go for where your kink lies.

The women look very good, very varied, and always real dominating. No sweet innocent hentai shit here.

Though the majority of interactions are about pegging, getting fucked, giving blowjobs, there are a lot of other fethises, like feet worship, flogging, whipping, electrocution and more.

The atmosphere is that of a crazy fascistic city ruled by women, where you are only a slave to work and give pleasure.

I found the gameplay rather tedious at first, so my advice is: slog on untill more and more becomes available.

Not meeting the weekly depts repeatedly will result in one of two game overs with a lot of scenes. If you wanna avoid that make sure you work once or twice each day.

In my opion the best femdom/futa game on this site.

Have played several versions of the game, but 0.8.1 at the latest..

The game is pretty unique and really good. Personally I like the femdom parts and the dickgirl parts, but the BDSM bits gets too heavy for my taste..

Graphics are good, sexy and tasty, though the quality can't compare with the top notch mainstream games out there that probably has a ton more resources behind them.. Animations are kind of blocky, with maybe 5-6 frames that repeat, but they are nice nevertheless..

It's an open world where you can explore and find content, and you have to keep earning money, so you'll have to be repeating the content. It's not hard or terribly grindy though. I don't mind the grinding bits much, as there is visible progress. Game seems to end around day ~90 and as you have to pay the tax every 10th day, there's a limit to how long you need to keep up to see the content.

Some of the content is likely extreme for many people, and as it's hard to know up front what is coming when you explore, it could maybe be an idea to have some toggles in options to disable some parts of it.

I've been looking for a similar game for a long time, it's very cool that the developer made the possibility of multiple endings that depend on your choice, the hours flew by very quickly, I think I'll go through it again

I can barely get anywhere with this game, since it crashes too much.

Sometimes it even corrupts my saves, so the game crashes whenever I load a save.

Other than that, I think this looks like an interesting game. I like the character models and the variety of fetishes. But the game is too unstable to be enjoyable.

Well, its really hard with this one. MANTIS has awesome setting, interesting storyline, alot of different and cool dominating womens, not bad animation and sex scenes, but one thing ruin it all for me. Its protagonist, he's looking disgusting: this face, this haircut, strange yellow colourskin, this shorts ya wearing.
So its always the same: starts some interesting moment with really hot girl and then ya looking at this MC, and it just ruin everything. I was really enjoying Asylum coz it was POV perspective, and i really like TSoB, but this one, well.... nope.

To be fair I didn't get far but mostly b/c the game seems super buggy to me.
Audio cannot be controlled which is a bit of a deal breaker if there is audio in the game.
Annoyingly slow to move through some screens and gets frozen.
Models are not the worst but not great and not worth continuing to try and slog forward.

This is Excellent game . Renders are very good . Story is amazing. Without any doubt Darktoz is one of the best in game making. I am looking for more games like it . Female supremacy is a very good concept for gaming .

It have a beautifully rendered 3d characters and back ground at time there is an animation even though as simple but get the point across.

Sounds :
The sounds are there during certain events, there are not many events that needed sounds effects though.

Music :
The music score is excellent, not your basic stock rpgmaker mv music so that's a relieve.

Gameplay :
The gameplay is simple it is a bit of managing your money and your time also the political alliance of who you should be close to , to help you survive in this world. You can't fight your enemies they're far to strong for you so you have to figure out a deep indirect way to help yourself out.

Grammar :
The game is rather good in the text and the conversations felt fluid during the time I play the game I didn't see any conversations that is way off or odd.

Story :
The Story is fresh as in a new universe at least for me, it is complex as it have relationship system built in as you weave your way in the world as you're helpless.. amidst such strong opposition but you still can struggle with the way you are not directly no, indirectly.. tries to survive in a harsh world for a male. The conversations are good, nothing felt out of the ordinary when I read the character conversations.

This game is amazing, there is so much content and lore, as well as a large variety of women and sexual encounters, lots of futa content too. Even the jobs that may appear grindey at first, showcase random scenes with women that you haven't encountered yet. It's such a satisfying well designed gameplay loop.

My only minor criticism some slowness between opening locations and conversation menus.

Man the scenario and the sexual scenes are amazing, but i just cant help but feel like this game really should not be a game. In all honesty it would have been better as a comic or a VN, because the 3D animations are very well developed, the story is basic but consistent, but the gameplay feels like its been cobbled together in a hasty manner for some God forsaken reason. This game has a good story and scenes, its just not a very good game.

A surprisingly good femdom game with a decent amount of content, intriguing characters but abysmal world-building. Still, the game had remained interesting so far and by the look of it, things are only going to get more interesting.

I enjoy some kinds of femdom (usually, if it entails actual sex of some kind), I'm indifferent regarding others (foot fetish, dickgirls). This game, on the whole, doesn't really cater to my preferred type of femdom. However it's well designed and fun to play. I'll list a few things which, imo, it gets right:

>80s/early 90s punk dystopia setting - this is the main draw for me. I love this aesthetic and it fits the bdsm kink perfectly.
>Story complements porno, not vice versa - follows from the first point. For me this is a pretty reliable indicator of quality in these games. Dystopia disavows reality, so nothing (not even literal demons) seems out of place. It's great for playing out any outlandish erotic fantasy.
>Gameplay isn't annoying and is integrated with the erotic content.
>Fairly linear and with a small number of "choices" which are all/mostly about which mistress/partner you like.
>It's humorous and doesn't take itself too seriously, but avoids devolving into whimsy for whimsy's sake. Even the dommes are fallible, have quirks, belong to competing factions etc. I had a lot of fun playing as a dorky little boy wandering around getting punished by hot mistresses, and loving every minute of it. The jokes sometimes work (like when a judge admits she can't execute you because that route hasn't been implemented yet). Other times it's too straightforward and hammy. The dev is German, so I guess that's to be expected.

Renders are good and suitable for the 80s pulp vibe. Animations are choppy and very basic. The unique, story-based h-scenes are mostly good, if a bit samey.

The only really negative things about it is a wonky engine and all the Nazi/SS -like outfits... come on now. But again, German dev so understandable. We're all friends now, all in the markets together and there's no need at all to mention the war.

M8 the story and the setting is amazing, the author got it right when it comes to femdom and a society build around the idea of femdom.
The story is relatively easy to progress, even thought i feel like there is some pointless and mundane grind that only is there to slow you down. The art itself is great, the 3D body rendering is alright, and it does have limited animation that not really scuffed.
The main fault of this game for me is the engine, it feel clumsy as fuck, in all honesty it feels like im playing a game made in mid-late 2000s, the game just feels outdated even thought its recent. Also no gallery...

A great start but not great after that. Too many bugs to face and not significant continuation of the story over the past 6+ months. Some great characters but it needs too much grinding and the rewards are not that tempting anymore.

Full of bugs and very little content in reality, not a game worth trying. Most games start with a story and a hope for the MC to get to good times, even if it is pleasing females, this game starts hopeless and is filled with bugs, so dont even try.

One of my favorite femdom games but Asylum is still my favorite ever! The story takes place in a city changing and now being rules by females. It has some sandbox elements where you can visit different places. I still like Asylum better so far because the characters were more developed but I think the story will pick up as it moves along!

This might be the best femdom game I ever played. No bullshit, just beautiful renders, a lot of animations and cruel, sadistic women. Great atmosphere, lots of weird kinky places (church of kink!) to explore and for those who are into it, futanari characters. You can choose your fetish and ignore the ones you are not into.
