This release had stuff chopped off and pushed out the door to fend off the mob annoyed at the missed schedule. The game window title text is something like "v1.60 Buggyversion"

I find myself annoyed at the dev and people who complained about missed dates. We regularly see games from large companies released unfinished because they wanted to keep a schedule. The audience and devs should know by now that while a schedule is nice, getting a working game is much more important. After seeing this I'm more of the mind that devs shouldn't talk about dates in terms other than aspirational.

Imagine if something like this happened on thanksgiving while cooking a turkey, The cook said it would be done at 4pm, but at 4:30pm it's not done, and people are complaining loudly about missed promises so the cook slices some good parts of the turkey then puts it back in the oven... wtf just wait for it to be done.

The post said another release was coming out today, and the rest of the content was coming out in a week. So check back in 2-4 weeks? ;p
Yeah I agree, instead of scheduling a release date it should be more of: "We're aiming to be done by this date" Most people usually just want an idea how long the development process is going to take.

She could had say :

Dear patreons

I know it’s taken time, and I appreciate your patience more than I can express. You’ve been so supportive, even when things took longer than planned, and that means a great deal to me.

This update? It’s massive. Probably the biggest one so far. It wasn’t easy, but I worked through every challenge, step by step, because I knew you were counting on me. And yes, Hofstadter’s Law came into play—things always take longer than you think they will, even when you plan for delays.

But we’ve made it, together. Thank you for waiting, for believing in this, and for your kindness throughout. And thank you all for the supportive messages and of course the financial aid.

+ post the update when ready

No one would have been mad because everything is fine with it. We are not mad about the delay we are mad about the lies.
Yeahhhhhhhh….. as much as I would like to agree with sium….. because that is really unfortunate what she went through and I really do hope her the best….. but that is the part that trumps the understanding and brings out the irritation in people. If you don’t give a release date and say it will be out when it’s out. I’m really sorry but things aren’t great now, people will be less hostile. If you say I need a few more day 8 times you keep setting dates that end up disappointing.it starts seeening really shady…. I’m sure it’s not shady…. But still, makes people angry.
