Introduction
wanna give this game the big and meaningful praise it deserves with only just one particular thing that prevents me from giving it 5 stars.. that it's just unfinished. besides that feel free to read my review
Game Description
this is a story driven corruption based sandbox carnival RPG. you play as a village girl named Amy and you have a sister Jenny. both of you are very close and you share all kinds of aspirations, dreams, desires. but then your village gets raided, and Jenny is voluntarily abducted (but Amy doesn't know she did it voluntarily and intentionally). you go to the nearest city where the cult that raided your village is headquarted, and start your adventure to find your sister, and along the way get involved in alot of lewd activities depending on your choices
Things I Liked:
- Amy. tbh one of the best female protagonists i've had the pleasure of playing lewd game with. i can't really put it into words how much she mogs other female protags the garbage on this website produces. she's so full of character and behaves like a real human being. her character is presented like this from start to finish. it's better if you saw her character for yourself so i wont describe her, trust me she's really good
- the corruption. your corruption is presented as your level and you level it up by engaging in lewd acts. the more your corruption the more bolder some of your scenes and dialogue are. that aside the way it's presented is very good. the game already establishes Amy as being sexually curious but still very new and shocked about sex. she wants a boyfriend and someone to love as well as a romantical first time, normal girl stuff. but the reality of her adventure sinks in and sex is presented to her in a way she didn't originally intend for. you either keep her pure and normal expectations or you can will her into reluctantly (but consentually) doing those things she might not want to do, and then watch as she becomes more bold about it and more enjoying of it
- characters. there's a whole host of characters in this game and each one is presented with life, that is to say they are all written and animated very well. each one is different from the last and each one holds a place in the story. you got Chad the orc who talks and acts like a surfer dude. you got Frank the brattish and annoying kid. you got Rokas the rotten and miserable little slave trader. you got a wise priest, you got a dwarf couple, you got a talented artist, an elvish flute player, an ogre pimp, a madame of a whorehouse, a black guy who owns a hooter restaurant, a strong and silent bodyguard, a rich banker, a young but unseemly nobleman, and so many more damn characters and they're all awesome.
- story. it really is great. the vast majority of NSFW games only commit to a good premise then just either turn to shit or forget about the story. this one does neither, the story presents itself through the gameplay effortlessly and you really feel like you're making progress and developing a narrative. and neither is it a deep, complicated and boring story that turns people away, it's rather the opposite.
- artstyle/scenes. i love it, so unique and so well made. doesnt look stupid but rather beautiful and easy going. whether you're in a scene, walking around or looking at a character portrait the artstyle is there and its great. speaking of scenes we have to talk about them. they're all animated, i.e. you get to see tiddies jiggling and a cock moving in every scene (not EVERY scene but you get what i mean). the dialogue within the scenes isn't retarded but clever and well made. its not too long not too short. and there's many scenes, with different scenarios/situations and all of the same high quality
- world building. putting orcs, elves, humans in the game while highlighting their intrinsic differences in nature. really putting into perspectives the differences of all the districts in St. Polla. the little backstories of various groups - the red and blue cultists, the orcs in Palisade, the other slave trader(s), the military, the various nobles in the game, so on and so forth. you really are in a unique video game world feels distinct
- gameplay. this might be the weakest aspect of the game but i still liked it. you have WASD and you have your Enter key, and through those two controls all of the things i describe above you experience. its very relaxed and easy, and there's no boring lame RPGM combat. i think all this needs really is just some minor, well made minigames and then its no longer the weakest part of the game. besides, if the game was intended to be a story driven scene collector, you bet the gameplay should behave like one
- basically everything else i forgot to mention that should be considered when rating a game. it's all great, really, if you can think of something that i didn't talk about i would wager with near certainty the thing you are thinking of is high quality in this game
Thing I Disliked:
- this is the only reason i'm not giving the game 5 stars. it's unfinished. once you and Frank get home from the red light district, have that conversation, and the credits roll, that's it, then we must wait for the next update. and keep doing that until the game finishes. now, please dont get it twisted, im not saying to rush the game, neither am i saying this is inherently bad. i just run off of a principle that if im going to rate a game 5 stars it should be finished. it should have a point in the game's playtime where we establish an end. i should be able to conclude the game and be content knowing i played from start to finish. the game is 3 years old now and still in development. i can only hope the devs are getting close
Conclusion
good luck to them (the devs) in getting there. but until we see the end of Final Originity, i'm gonna stick to 4 stars, with what should be a 5 star no questions asked hands down review. please play this game, it is absolutely worth it
4/5
