Unity - Five of a Kind [v0.4] [JorogrArt]

Great game! I love how the developer allows you to just unlock and view the scenes from the beginning. Sometimes I'm lazy to play and just want to watch the cutscenes, so I really appreciate you can do that in this game.

This game is a point and click in the style of classic games of yore. It is impressively well done, genuinely feels like a AAA title from 30 years ago...
But there is a reason people don't use that game style anymore.

You are going to waste a bunch of time looking for what to do next and quickly run into a point where you are just following a guide.
And having to move the MC around the game world just slows things down unnecessarily compared to directly clicking the button to go to the next room.

The art is hand drawn and sex is animated. Which is always good.

The game started as 5 stars, slowly dropped to 3 as I got more and more frustrated. Then slowly rose back up to 4 stars once I went fully walkthrough dependent. Annoying to use, but decent enough.

It is a good game but questlog could be better and it is a bit tedious/sometimes you don't know what to do or especially where to click to progress.
Drawings and and animation are really good and it has it's own style.

PROS
- Its a classic point and click game with a 80s style and setting. Comedy is perhaps a bit overdone but this game is bit of parody and doesn't take it self too seriously. Which can be a good thing, its an interesting approach.
- I initially didn't find the characters very appealing. But they did grow on me.
- Not expected but some of the animations are topnotch. The mom bj scene in particular was one of the best 2dcg animations I've seen in a western VN.
- The writing is decent.

CONS
- Very stereotypical 'fuck your family' incest game. Mom is initially a prude but gradually warms up sexually to the MC, sister is mean but will gradually like the MC, and the aunt is the nympho.
- One thing he did take from those older style porn games is that mechanism where you have to hover your mouse around the screen looking for a highlighted object AND/OR clicking a bunch of times around the screen, in order to progress through the game. This is in the game A LOT. Absolutely the worst type of gameplay western porn devs ever came up with. This, in addition to the door clicking repetition, makes this game veeery tedious to play. I don't understand why devs do this (besides to extend gameplay time ofc), its definitely not fun and such a chore.

I like the story. Keep up with the progress, always make sure that there is something worthwhile on every update. I like the animation and the graphics. Okay it is a bit oldies but I like it that way, including the characters look nice.

Game is alright. I like the art and the characters. The setting is pretty neat and it has some great potential. I particularly love the arc with the ghost, especially how it kind of mirrors that one Ghostbusters scene.

Anyway, I ranked it as 3 stars, "Average", for a reason though. Namely, the gameplay. There's way too much going on and it's not very straightforward how to progress. Walking around slowly around the house and having to click then select an action bogs the game down tremendously. Wind up spending more time walking around and clicking random things in the house than actually progressing the story or getting smut scenes. Every object in the house being clickable makes everything really monotonous.

I like the character of Nicole a lot, and want to see more content of her beyond just her showing up in your window when you strip.

I liked the game enough to give it 4 stars, which for me it means it's above average in the genre. Have in mind I am particularly biased towards incest mommy stuff.
That said, here are some things to consider, both good and bad.
Good:

• Art is consistent and has its own style, and there is a decent amount of shots per scene, a lot of the stuff has basic animation and it's easy to get into it.
• Writing is way above average, there are a lot of quips, jokes and references, clearly an adult wrote and invested some effort. It's also been spellchecked and is what you'd expect out of a decent game.
• It doesn't shy away from the incest tag, this game is about romancing your family members, there's no landlady crap or anything. It leans into it and makes an effort to make things believable going slowly.
• It's a proper point and click game, there are a ton of items and things to click through, with lots of explanations and commentary.

Bad:

• Despite being consistent, art is a bit subpar and basic. There are still some doodles which will hopefully be replaced later.
• It feels like there aren't enough H scenes compared to the amount of content in the game, and the game frequently denies you your pervy attempts to see boobs or touch something etc.
• There are a lot of prompts for pervy stuff to do which end up not delivering and you just feel a little cheated. You get potentially sexy items you never get to use, prompts for sexy stuff come up and then the game or protagonist tell you they straight up don't want to do it etc. THE MOST annoying part is where the game about plowing your mother is moralizing you over consent ("This ain't that kind of game bro!") and about being too perverted or something. It's done jokingly but it just feels bad at the end.
• The story is disjointed, there is still no proper intro and it feels like there will be a story framing done sometimes in the future to connect all the stuff, you basically have quests that you follow, and there are several scenes that you can only see from the Main menu gallery, since they haven't been implemented in the game yet.

Overall, if you're into milf/incest stuff, this one is a must. At least keep an eye on it and give it a shot at some point, I doubt you'll regret it.

I try to be very selective about what games I give 5 star ratings to. I want to be clear that I feel this game provides more of a 4 to 4.5 star experience today, but I am very confident it will be a 5 star experience soon, probably before I review it again. Despite this, I feel the game deserves a 5 star rating because I feel the dev has earned some leeway which I will touch on below.

The dev has done a good job describing the plot of the game in OP so I won't bother. The only detail I think they could add is some they cover early on in-game: this game follows the once-popular point-and-click (PaC) game dev formula from games of old. To elaborate, I'm not talking about those shitty PaC games you generally see nowadays or those visual novels with some BS "find the secret spot" minigame - this is a true, high quality PaC game. Graphics are 2.5D in a 3D world (think Paper Mario-esque), and you navigate it by clicking around to tell your character where to walk to. Some items you can interact with, most of them can be interacted with in multiple ways. Take a door: do you open it, knock on it, yell at it, peek through the key hole, or ponder what might be on the other side? Click a door, and chose one of the available actions. Some actions need special items to unlock other actions (like a key will allow you to try unlocking a locked door with it).

Anyways, now that you understand the plot and core gameplay mechanics, lets talk story details. This is your classic boy-in-town-with-sexy-ladies setting. No wizardry, no super powers, no aliens, no Devine beings. You're a dude. You have a family. You and your family have friends. Some people live with you. Some live elsewhere. Most of the women are bombshells on the cusp of some sort of personal sexual revolution. Most of them need some sort of assistance that might give you an opportunity to inject yourself into the forefront of their sexual desires. You've seen it before, you'll see it again - this is the same and it does it well.

Well then, what about the H content? It's good, really good. Progression isn't too slow, it isn't toooo fast (although it is a bitttt fast imo), but I'll take that any day over it being too slow personally. It's mostly repeatable, you can control tempo/conclusion of each scene. They are well rendered and animated. Dialog is a bit on the light side imo but plenty enough, and what is there can get quite kinky when things really heat up. All in all, the H-content "architecture" is very strong.

TLDR of above: the structure of gameplay, story, and H-content in this game are very well thought out.

HOWEVER (suspenseful pause)... I'd say the plot is still in early stages. Late-early stages, but early nonetheless. Below spoiler shows content available with each character (from memory). Beware you will see names/roles and each position, somewhat spoilery but I personally wish this info was posted for all games in the OP:
So, as you can see, most characters are quite sparse, there are at least two somewhat prominent females that didn't even make the list, and the most populated character isn't even fully fleshed out yet. So, yes, the game needs quite a bit more time to develop, but really this is all I can knock it for.

Some other things I wanted to mention that don't necessarily need a full write up:

• The art is great, custom art, often animated, all the characters look good and the ladies are smokin hot.
• The dev understands their audience. Seems like a low bar but so, so many H-game devs seem to have their head so far up their ass that they forget they are ultimately making content for people to masturbate to. This dev gets it. As an example, you can unlock the whole gallery right from the start - the dev asks you if you want it.
• Speaking of the gallery - amazing! You get the best of both worlds in this game, you can repeat scenes by talking to the characters again (at the time/location required), or you can just go to the gallery at the main page. Again, dev understands the audience.
• The writing is excellent at what it is trying to be - whimsical enough to be entertaining, not overbearing but definitely enough to engage you.
• And more minor praiseworthy items that I'll leave for you to discover

So, all in all, I consider the experience you can get from this game TODAY to be a 4 star experience, but the foundation and framing is all here - all dev needs to do is keep pushing things along. I have full faith that this game will provide a 5-star experience in short time, but even before then, I think the game deserves a 5-star rating due to how good it is at what it does and how thoughtful the dev is of the audience.

I usually reserve reviews for games that are completed, but honestly I think this game deserves a 5 just based on the current content. As more content is released it will get better and better.

What we have here is a classic point and click inspired game with really good art, animation, scenes, and progression. Honestly, I am very impressed with the overall quality of what the developers were able to put forth, of all of the dialogue and detail put into it and the thoughtfulness of the developer in every aspect of the game from the UI design to warning you for interacting with objects that aren't story relevant yet.


There's some pacing issues with how fast you progress with the mom character (which is 80% of the current content) - You're mostly doing chores for the first 30-45 minutes of the game, and then things progress maybe too quickly, but I suspect that will be addressed in upcoming updates.

This one is already worth a try and worth keeping your eye on for its development. It's going to be an all-timer if it gets finished.

really nice, the characters evolving just fine, the thing with "just the tip" looks realistic but i think some time she agreed after more attempts )) showering scene is a brilliant, but i think whey need to change pose sometime. handjob scene is really good and then she is peek moment, just wow and this scene has a more potential to extend with more activities, shame dialogs and so on. really good game!

Great game. Very well polished game play. Interesting characters and setting. Definitely worthy of doing the front page. Gameplay is fun, your usual point and click, nothing too convoluted. Animations and writing is very good *wink wink*. Can't wait to see more in the updates to come and looks promising as the developer is very active on the thread.

Pretty good game. Has interesting perspectives due to it being a point and click. Even some nice jiggle physics. The sis is a bit ugly but the rest of the character designs are interesting. The quests are a bit of a pain in the ass but that's what the walkthroughs are for, thank god for that! This game makes me want more for sure

Five of a Kind [v0.3.5.1]

This is a lovely game with nice 2D artwork!

It features 2 main kinks (harem & incest) so far and hopefully visible pregnancy will be added at some point to the mix.

The setting is standing out by simulating the mid 80ies, which is appealing for quite some people, who grew up in the 80ies or early 90ies. Hence the game features a unique atmosphere.

All characters do have a distinct personality so far, which is another big plus in my book. Apart from that the art is really amazing and lovely.

In addition the writing is really good and shows, that the dev has got a nice sense of humor.

Gameplay-wise it’s old school point & click. If you’re stuck and don’t know how to continue, the game provides a journal with in-game hints, but also a brand new walkthrough as .pdf-file (which I didn’t test, yet).

The only negative point is the lack of sexual content with most characters for the time being. But that’s ok, because it’s work in progress. I’m really looking forward for the next updates, hopefully adding a lot more content.

4 out of 5 stars, definitively got the potential of 5 stars, when completed. (Please dev, never abandon this gem of a game.)

Awesome game. Definitely has come great call-backs to the 80s. The art is amazing, dialogue is well written, and each character feels unique.
Some of the quests can be a little confusing, but once you understand how the game works it gets much easier.
I do wish some of the set pieces were wider to make walking from one end to the other easier. But it's nothing game- or immersion-breaking, especially since it's an 80's set piece game and viewing ratios were tighter back then.

Game itself is extremely uninteresting for me(harem+incest)so as always, i am going to rate the game based on game play and sex scenes and i literally dont care about porn game plots.
Plus:
-Interesting game play with interesting mechanics. (Benetifs/Offenses system). Skill learning feels meaningful .
-Targets my audience(80s-90s childhood), setting feels cozy and right on spot
-Unique art. It is NOT good, it not bad either. Animations feel nice, art feels like 90s wacky cartoons.
-Characters feel like characters. Even though i skipped almost most text presented in game, i enjoyed reading conversations
-Tease, build up, sexual stuff feels nice. Havent discovered "OH MY GOD SO BIG FUCK ME" scenes. I dont enjoy teasing and slow build ups(because i am here for porn not for emotional support) but scenes are heartfelt and human. Feels nice.
-People who played Leisure Suit Larry(love for sail for example) will straight at home.
Cons:
-Very limited sexual interactions.
-Some stuff feel out of place(Basement ghost, hacking pcs)
-Not very player friendly, some quests are explained in detail other quests are just wild hunt without WT
-At the moment targets certain fetish audience(harem+incest) which is always minus in my books, because characters feel complex and interesting but stuff get really uninteresting entire cast only know and interact with one "male". I get the idea but i feel like writing is wasted on simple fetishes.
-Art sometimes feels strange, specially with sizes. Clothed tits and naked tits extremely different something feel off.

Starting the game, as far as game mechanics goes for an adult game, controls are very easy to use and not a pain in the ass like the most.
Your major targets are two beautiful blonde cheeks, one Milf and a Young-Adult. (there are a lot of other characters as well, but for now these two are the main dish.)
All characters have a lot of expression, so you won't feel that the MC is fucking a dry-wall.
While the art is the main focus and story takes the back sit, dialogs are still interesting at the right moments.

Also like always do not forget to support your favorite developers, they're relying on us.

Surprisingly good game, with hot sex scenes, witty and humorous dialogue (I laughed my ass off a couple of times) and decent gameplay. And that's coming from a guy who isn't into incest (so if you are it's a must play).

It has interesting premise (it's 1985, DOS with Norton Commander, good old music and telephones instead of cellphones) and it's got great atmosphere. It's a well thought out game that brings freshness to the genre. I highly recommend it.

TL;DR - Incest fans rejoice, this game is god tier for the fetish; the dev even focuses on mom and sis content most, and neglects the side chicks.

Beyond catering to the incest crowd this title also boasts great looking, original, 2D art, and quality animations. And for what it's worth a unique setting which I appreciated; MC isn't the son of a crime boss or anything.

The game has some quirks and cons but nothing I feel like mentioning to dissuade you from downloading it. It's a very fappable, incest romp, and that's exactly what "5 of a Kind" claimed to be... *5*

I am eager to play this again when it’s the full game because so far it is fantastic all around. It’s got everything I want in a taboo game and it is very well written. The art style is wonderful and the ladies are just how I like them. I can’t say enough good things about this one.
