This game is kind of a hard recommend.
What you get is something approaching fun with some admittedly nice art. After a couple hours of play I was able to complete the base "story mode" on hard but there seems to still be quite a bit to unlock. Many menu items have yet to be revealed, there's more collectible cards to unlock after accumulating souls, and the mission select indicates there are still secrets or challenges that I have yet to do for each chapter. Unfortunately, I don't think I enjoyed myself enough to want to keep playing for unlocks.
I think I would've had more fun if the game was more puzzle-oriented, focusing on corralling the enemies into traps rather than making it a time-limited game of cat and mouse. You can see that in the design of some maps, but overall I came away frustrated by the game. I'll probably revisit the game on normal and see if it's more enjoyable.
As for the art, I'd say it's pretty good despite lacking in the erotic aspects. Unfortunately it seems the unlockable cards use the same art from the original release of the game while most everything else has received a nice new coat of paint. The ingame art and animations honestly look excellent. I definitely have more to unlock, but in my few hours of play there wasn't much art to get "excited" by. Flambeau's portrait is nice, and Yurei's room has multiple characters/animations to unlock but that's all I have so far. A quick fap, this game is not.
