v1.0
A failed asset flip that's somehow become worse by the precious few changes.
I'm not sure there's a lot of value in reviewing an asset flip with so little originality compared to the base, but whatever. Things that came from the "dev" are what I suppose arecopyright-free (or maybe "borrowed"?) music and sound effects, a name change, vague sudden minigames, and shifting the setting to about 2 million years earlier. Even one of the file names is still "Onemillionandoneyears", so it looks like the name change to "Flesh and Fury" was done in a hurry. And other file names have "FlashAndFury", so it sure comes across like a very attentive rename.
The text seems to follow the original pretty closely. The writing is never really good, and often dips into cringy. The general quality of the English is similar, borderline acceptable most of the time but with just too much sloppiness.
As it is, "Flesh and Fury" presents itself more like pseudo-historical fantasy than prehistoric fiction, so historical accuracy sounds like the wrong standard. But worse is that the setting completely fails to establish wilful suspension of disbelief for even a moment. The tyrant's club bothers to do a lot of pointless effort to slaughter a female captive a week so the tyrant can bonk the winner and his followers are entertained. "Why?" Just because the artist found that hot and it makes the tyrant more evil, apparently. Really a smut comic adaptation to the bone.
The renders look a little impressive at first, and the locations sure look nice. Ironically many images still have the original artist's watermarks. But even this work suffers a bit from common 3d render errors, like inconsistent expressions or awkward posing. For some reason the tyrant's followers mostly look like bald coomers with minimal muscle mass, not even in 1 arm. Maybe consooming deadly gladiatorial battles once a week really is the only thing they do in their lives. Overall the renders, with their props and location, fit a postapocalyptic setting with technological regression much better than anything prehistoric. Kudos to the original artist for that.
Can't say the music added much for me, some sounded quite appropriate, other tracks sounded a little out of place. Probably free or "free" stuff.
The minigames just pop up suddenly like quick time events, aren't really explained or intuitive, and don't look entertaining in the least. The good thing is they're skippable.
The sexual content strongly leans to rape and monster sex. If that isn't your thing, don't bother. If it is, see below:
Only recommended for people who need a lobotomy on a budget.
