VN - Ren'Py - Forbidden Love [v0.03] [Liliater]

Game felt like a speedrun to create a harem, for the sake of creating a harem. There is no buildup, it's just hurrying you along to the next scene. The mc, much like yourself, is just along for the ride and is never really in control. The true mastermind behind the events in the game is the older of two cousins that just wants to make a harem because... well she just wants to okay. The taboo of the relationships isn't explored and lasts all of a few seconds and then you are onto the next scene!

Renders aren't the best, angles for sex scenes aren't really sexy, some of the characters are cute, but you don't really get to experience much, because it's all on fast forward. Not every game needs to be a slow burn and that's alright, but if you're going through the motions to get somewhere. In your mind you might be thinking you're going to Disneyland, but then you end up at some miniature golf place with a rat mascot off the freeway. Sure miniature golf is fun, but it's not the Magic Kingdom and that rat is not Mickey Mouse.

tl;dr this game is all gas, no brakes, but the destination is underwhelming

I think the lack of reviews may make potential players avoid trying the game, so I'll leave a basic review here.

To start, I would say that the game, as it is, would be a 3.5 stars, but since it's not possible to give that rating, I'll round it up to 4 stars.

The quality of the renders can be seen in the previews, I'm a fan of Honey Select games so I believe I have a greater tolerance, but I would still judge the quality of the renders as below average, but acceptable.

Something that will divide opinions is the fact that there are so many routes, and they are real routes, I did at least five gameplays but I know I didn't see everything.

Most of the routes can lead to the harem, the decision is up to the player, all the girls accept the harem immediately, the MC/player is the last to know about the harem that the girls are forming for him.

All routes are interesting, you really find different scenes in the different routes, this can be considered good and bad, forcing players to explore all routes to see everything, even with at least five gameplays, I'm still not sure if I found the best route.

Something that I consider bad is that the pace is extremely fast, there is no exploration of feelings, seduction or corruption, everything happens immediately, for those who like a good story this will be a bad thing, but those who just want the scenes will like it.

There is no taboo, there should be but there isn't, everyone accepts the incestuous harem without question, including strangers, and the harem will probably be large, at least ten girls.

The focus of the game is clearly the harem, even when you decide to stay with just one girl, she still suggests that you should have more women, you can refuse, but without a doubt the focus is the harem, and there are already many scenes.

I recommend the game, there is nothing incredible, but it is comfortable to play and good to pass the time.
