Forced Password Change and Threats

So i log in today on the good old F95 to do some lurking and i encounter this


What the actual fuck.
I have had the same password for 6 years with no issues, no one is gonna hack me lol.
i have posted like once ever on the site..... but today this is jammed down my throat.
Being threatened to be blocked if I do not get on my knees and capitulate within 24 hours was a nice touch too assholes.

I looked through all the rules and notices, nothing about this policy change anywhere on the site that i could find.... did anyone else get hit with this? Did i miss it?
Its really hard to remember all the passwords you are supposed too and being forced to change is absolutely ridiculous! what exactly is my "Account" doing here on this site? Except for the sites ability to collect data on my usage, identify me and ban me or report me to the FBI?

Sorry if I don't "Get" it, but I am genuinely annoyed at this shit. I am gonna forget this password and have to make a god damned new account, and i so love wasting my time.

The password change is because someone was hacking older accounts and posting malware infected links on Renpy games. Malware that wasn't picked up by the uploaders original process (stuff like virus total doesn't detect it.) Your account is/was exactly what they were looking for. Malware Thread
