Not sure if this has been asked. But I'm kind of stuck in the game. The desert area seems to just dead end? I got to the end of the forest area, but the desert area just seems to end. Am I missing something?

So I have the february build, but I got some severe performance issues, am I the only one with that cause I got an ass pc, or is it a normal thing with february build ?
Also, is may build out yet ?

The game engine has some quirks (what engine is it even using?). I have a modestly spec'd PC with a 5800X3D and 2080Ti and in one of the older builds I was stuck with 10 FPS after triggering an H-scene until I restarted the game. Also May build isnt out yet.

Goddamn I just saw this game has been in development since at least 2015? We're approaching 10 years now. Guess the game will finish when I'll be in my 30s

Not necessarily. The one that was in development in 2015 is the older version, which was finished for all intents and purposes. This new version was made entirely separately. This is probably the one and only H-Game remaster that exists on the planet that can't be considered a sequel or just continued development of the first game, potentially making it the first actual remaster in the history of H-Games.

That makes sense. I was under the impression that Zell made the first FOBS, then had to split it into a 2nd game due to engine limits, and then decided to remake both games combined in a new engine and continue development, as to me the first two versions really didn't feel complete. Coming from Succubus Affection, I thought there would be a story, or at least dialogue from bosses/unique NPCs.

I mean, that is exactly what happened. That's what I was attempting to describe. The A and B versions weren't complete in accordance to Zell's vision, but they did what they could within the engine limitations even still. It was complete in a technical sense, even if it was far from it in a theoretical sense. While you could say that FOBS-R is a continuation of the original FOBS project, I personally count it as a remaster since the original still stands on its own two feet as a finished product.

Are the A and B versions the finished product of the original from october 2014?

Last time i checked, the first devlog was around october 2014, but ye, we could theoretically celebrate the 10 year anniversary of FOBS at this point, one of the first h-games to have a really interesting gameplay for the genere

It's more of a preview at the moment.
I'd expect this to become a thing over the cause of development that we get small areas that get increasingly bigger so that we get monthly updates.
Here is to hoping today/tomorrows post continues the desert or removes bench girl to open up the big tree.

If you go to the search bar at the top, define the search to everything, tick the box for "title and first post only", then search for remaster I'm sure something will come up.
I think I have seen games on here that are remasters in the same wane as fobs once or twice.

That's exactly why we are calling it FOBS-R and not 2 like a sequel. :)

More or less.
More like forcefully abandoned because of these limitations.
Resulting in them wanting this remaster to happen.

Actually, yeah, we should do that we should, shouldn't we?
Since we are so late with that now I guess we wait until 11 years to celebrate a late 10th anniversary. "._.
