Hello everyone! As a decent amount of you may know, Forest of the Blue Skin is a fairly old game created by a very skilled pixel artist/budding developer Zell23, going down in history as one of the most well known H-platformers on the internet. The first iteration of this game was split into two parts as the engine could only handle so much data, leading Zell to have to leave the project behind, as their vision for it was far greater than what they could actually accomplish. Even so, a very useful guide on a site called Monster Girls Unlimited used to exist for people to capture every single monster in the game, and though it doesn't exist anymore, two YouTube videos remain in its wake to carry on its legacy.

I give you this exposition to provide context for what this thread is and why it exists. Forest of the Blue Skin R is a remake of the original FOBS, created on an entirely new engine that's capable of handling the full extent of Zell's imagination. Unfortunately, this does mean that the old guides for FOBS don't work here, as a lot has changed about how the game works as a whole, to include the main mechanic and selling point: captures. So I've put in hours of work to compile a brand new guide for the most recent version of the game. It is on a shared Google Doc for now, but it will become a full site eventually...probably. Now, the guide itself is not finished since the remake isn't finished either, but every month, a new update for the game comes out, and thus the guide must be changed to compensate. In order to update this guide, a ton of research and exploring has to be done in order to ensure that everything is as accurate and trustworthy as possible.

"But what does this thread exist for? You've been dancing around that question this entire time, get to the point!"

Well, to answer your burning question, this thread is to gather information from other people playing the game--the readers of this thread, of course. I am but one person, so trying to do all of the research myself, though possible, is incredibly difficult. And though suggestions and comments can be put on the Google Doc, leaving suggestions on 24/7 makes it easy for people to mistype, which can cascade into making it hard for other people to read the document overall. As a result, I'm closing off suggestions after the first week following a new version's release, but this thread will always be up as a second medium for suggestions and comments.

If you have any questions, comments, concerns, or just want to talk about the game or the guide, you're welcome to talk about it here. Hopefully It serves you well.

Oh, and before I forget, here's the actual guide, whoops-
