This weekend marks the biggest update Fractured Veil has received since the project began.

Across the last week I’ve been hard at work implementing the full ending sequences for all three Act II paths, adding new scenes, new events, new systems, UI improvements, and a glimpse of what lies ahead in Act III.

No spoilers today.
Just a single image.

A fragment of something ancient.
Something the story has been quietly circling from the very start.

Well, I started a new game and the first error dissapeared (the main menu glich), but now I'm not unlocking any of the gallery options (i had 4 times the first masturbation scene, and neither the scenes at the coffee shop and office are saving) so I'll redownload

Dev note for v1.8 or earlier:


For those of you experiencing sudden returns to the main menu, I've finally isolated the cause and resolved it.

The issue came from how certain quests were being scheduled, which could create a rare game-state desynchronization. When this happened, Ren'Py would quietly crash back to the main menu without showing an error. This also caused odd travel behavior on the world map.


Temporary workaround:
Use Skip Time until the next time period (“night”, “morning”, “afternoon”, “evening”).
Don't skip small increments of time and immediately travel after the quest updates, that’s when the desync could occur.


A permanent fix has been implemented and will be included in v1.9 (Early Access this weekend).
This update fully resolves the issue once and for all.

xeratios Two more things: First, I unlocked almost every scene, but since i Restarted the game and loaded the last saved game i lost all Gallery data, as if i never played them (i almost finished Act 2).
And Second, I cant seem to make the mom and best friend to get the lesbian scene so I unlock the last gallery scene, is there a special parameter to make them?

Gallery data is stored in your persistent files and carries over across saves and new games, unless the persistent cache was cleared at some point.
If you start a new run, you only need to meet the characters again for their names to appear in the gallery. Any scenes you've unlocked previously will still be unlocked.

Regarding unlock requirements, there is a hint that will display if you click on any locked scene in the gallery with a mini walkthrough on how to unlock the scene.

I don't know what to say about the gallery. I made multiple saves during the play-through so I didn't lose any (I discovered later the phone-gallery lol) but even tho I load them in order, they don't unlock in gallery. I might start a third one to see if anything changes

Good day. Every version of the game has bugs, and they say they'll fix them in the next update. So far, so good, but while one part is fixed, another part breaks. I'm curious, does the developer do their own initial testing when the new version is finished?

I think there is an urgent need for a guide for this game. Because the quests we complete are triggered again later, and this time the characters are not where they should be. Even though the Brenda quest is completed, it is triggered again, and you cannot find Brenda in that place. or the re-triggering of finished tasks should be prevented.

The game has great potential.
What's not clear is why, despite constant reports, the game continues to be developed instead of fixing all the bugs that are constantly being reported.
Please stop development and fix the game properly. Then you can resume development.

It includes major fixes for quest scheduling, repeat triggers, old logic issues, time skips, and several of the problems mentioned here.
A full list of changes is available in the in-game patch notes.


The public version will be updated next week when v2.0 is ready.
Thanks for the feedback and reports, the game should behave much more consistently now.

I've spent most of the weekend polishing the UI for FV.

Cleaner questlog, improved HUD clarity and better visibility across bright and dark screens.

Global content safety toggles that let you fully customise your experience in FV.

The game will automatically route scenes based on your choices.
No more popup warnings, no more interruptions.

I'll be adding adaptive branches and alternatives to all major scenes.
This will take a few patches to fully flesh out, so thank you for being patient while I bring everything up to the new standard.

And for those of you who don't care about UI or safety toggles, don't worry.
2.0 will also have plenty of content for you to chew through!
