Hey everyone. While developing my own adult visual novel, I thought my game should support multiple languages. So I started creating a tool that would let me easily translate my game into many languages without hassle. Then I asked myself, “Why not share this tool with others?” and here we are.
What is AI Ren'Py Translator?
This tool is completely free to use. Don’t worry—using AI for translation doesn’t mean you’ll have to pay anything. I developed it to comply with Gemini API rate limits.
Google allows free users to send up to 15 requests per minute, 250,000 tokens, and 1,000 requests per day with the “Gemini 2.5 Flash-Lite” API. This tool follows these limits and ensures you never exceed them. You can check it out at
As I mentioned earlier this tool currently uses the “Gemini 2.5 Flash-Lite” model, which is quite up-to-date and powerful for translation and dialogue writing. If this tool gains enough interest, I might consider adding other AI models as well.
You can create multiple projects within the tool and manage them with ease.
How does it work?
The AI avoids translating sentence by sentence. It analyzes the lines above and below, understands the dialogues, and aims to deliver the most accurate translation possible.

This is the tool’s main page. Here, you can create a new translation project or manage your existing ones:
Supported languages:
Arabic, Bengali, Bulgarian, Chinese (Simplified), Chinese (Traditional), Croatian, Czech, Danish, Dutch, English, Estonian, Finnish, French, German, Greek, Hebrew, Hindi, Hungarian, Indonesian, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Latvian, Lithuanian, Norwegian, Polish, Portuguese, Romanian, Russian, Slovak, Slovenian, Spanish, Swedish, Thai, Ukrainian, Vietnamese.
The tool supports all languages supported by the Gemini 2.5 Flash-Lite model.
How to use?

This tool is completely free to use. If this tool makes your work easier and you’d like to contribute to its development, you can support me on Patreon.
If this project gains enough interest, I’ll be happy to keep improving it.

I apologize for the large file size — it’s because I developed this tool using Next.js and Electron.
If you encounter any issues while using the tool or have any questions, I’ll do my best to help you out. Happy translating!
