The game is not "Completed", but rather "Abandoned" with numerous bugs(missing or faulty images/broken scripts), broken continuity(game does not register MC's changes) and missing content(images "coming soon").

This piece unfortunately functions better as an interactive narrative than card game. The writing and characters are excellent, but the card game quickly feels repetitive and unnecessary, and the story is never more than the sum of its parts. Players are encouraged to play on story mode where they are much less likely to feel like they've wasted time in repetetive gameplay that didn't elevate the experience.

The strongest point for this piece is by far the writing. Each characters' unique voice shines in every interaction, making it easy to get sucked into their stories. Each choice the player makes seems natural, which isn't easy when player is frequently given choices. I found myself as curious and excited to where the next piece of dialogue was going as much as I was the next sex scene.

One major exception to this were the endings (of which I discovered 4) that seemed a bit rushed and haphazard. Each were shorter than most scenes, and all were at least a bit disappointing. It felt a lot less like the culmination of a project and a lot more like the author was tired and wanted the project to end.

The scenes themselves are unfortunately nothing special. Each scene is supported by one image and a few lines of dialogue. The art is good enough, but for a game that features such strong dialogue, the narrative doesn't really bring the scenes to a new level. They're supposed to be the rewards for reaching new relationship milestones, but when the first couple scenes for each character are simply nudity, they feel more like a letdown.

The card game aspect ends up getting in the way. It does some things well, giving players a lot of choices, but quickly gets repetitive and stale. This is especially disappointing because so much of the story is meant to tie-in with the game. It feels like the gameplay could have been more integral to the experience, but simply isn't.

It should also be mentioned there are many minor but noticable errors. Broken scenes (in the "there has been a fatal error press ignore to continue" vein), events that happen out-of-order, or simply clicking too fast and messing up the visuals. None are game-breaking, and many are due to the large number of random scenes the game draws from. When juggling so many different player states, it can be hard to ensure each line of dialouge works perfectly. It's ultimately better to have a package deal of a few bugs and a large amount of content than eliminating both.

All in all I'd say playing through on story mode is a good experience that will work for a lot of people. If the concept intrigues you, give this one a try and you won't be diappointed. While you won't find a flawless integration of story and gameplay, you'll be delighted by the story and dialogue.

This is a tough one to review because I enjoy so many aspects of it, but if I am to be objective, some points need to be taken:

    Pros:
    - Great characters
    - Very interesting setting and lore
    - Art style is nice, has some unique aesthetic because of the lore
    - Two different paths for H scenes (sub and dom)

    Cons:
    - Quite grindy
    - H scenes dont cover a great variety of kinks despite the two paths
    - Story can sometimes be confusing depending on the order you interact with characters
    - the card game

I can see that almost all of the issues with this game could be fixed over time, which I would love to. I love the care that was taken with the lore and the characters are all interesting to explore, even when you are antagonizing them.
The main problem is the card game, which is the main gameplay loop. It's just not fun. It's not buggy and doesn't have huge design flaws, but it's just not interesting to play. Not once did I play through it and it didn't feel like a chore. While all the other issues would be eventually fixed with time, I don't think this one would, since it's part of the core gameplay.

Considering that the game is on hold and it's unclear whether it will be finished, I have to admit as much as it pains me that I don't feel like this gameplay is worth exploring further.

I wish the setting would be reused for a completely different game.

    Golden Idiot

    Version: v0.11

A deeply flawed game that has potential, if only it was refined and improved. I will put this review in a simple pros/cons format so you can decide for yourself if you want to play this truly rough diamond.

    Pros:
-Love the choice of time period
    -Interesting art style
    -Fun story
    -Unique love interests
    -Variety of sexual scenes

    Cons:
    -Interesting art style
-The story and game feels directionless, even if it good by itself
-Pointless grind that gets old fast
-Sexual scenes are nothing more then a slideshow
-The amount of text to read through does not justify the wait for a treat
-It doesnt feel like the time period it is set in (except aesthetically)

Love this game, i had had downloaded it a long time ago, and it's one of my favourites. And it's not even finished.

10/10 in Graphics: The scenes look sick. And you fall in love at a first sight at the characters.
10/10 in Plot: The rythm of the history advances at a slow pace but keeping you constantly attached to the screen. And the characters are well written.

Not to much to write about because it's not finished, but the card game looks originall and fun, and the duration of the game is very promising.

The Artwork is weak and you grind alot for a screenshot , other than that the character aren't likeable and it is mostly abput being dominated or accepting the situation - not my cup. The minigame is bad even if it's easy later it becomes a chore. With all these cons it just doesn't feel rewarding/satisfying.

    Good:
    - writing is really good, other than priestess
    - each character is unique
    - chibi art is fun
    - hand drawn art is always nice, even if this particular style doesn't suit my taste

    Bad:
    - both priestess are completely retarded, one is a mix of tsundere and dominatrix and the other is just a completely ignorant idiot
    - even worse, while in conversations with them MC gets brain damage and just follows along, an example (not exact conversation, just as I remember it from the game):
    MC: "Communism is bad"
    P: "Why?"
MC: "Oh gee, I don't know, I've never thought about it, nevermind then."
    - the amount of porn, there is not much of it
    - especially when you consider hours of dialogue to get there (and while the writing is great, other than priestess, that alone doesn't cover for it)
    - making choices by dragging a coin is interesting first 5 times, after that it's just annoying, especially in windowed mode

To me, this game tries a few things to varying success.
    - Minigame. I found it enjoyable enough my first playthrough, but it doesn't have quite enough complexity to it to keep the player coming back to it. Luckily, you can choose to play without it (but you miss out on the ability to gain/spend currency).
    - Story. The setting of an oasis of futanari in the early 1900s is, to my knowledge, a setting that no other game on this site has approached. The author supports it with a fairly interesting story of the outsider protagonist. The story in this game is very successful.
    - Eroticism. Futa Oasis provides you a variety of romanceable characters. Subs, doms, a transwoman, a ciswoman, and a lot of futas--you have options. And while the art/animations of the sex scenes won't blow you away like some stuff made in daz, I commend the hand-drawn work.
The real issue I take with the eroticism is the consistency. Futa Oasis is one of many games on this site that employs humour effectively throughout the game, but stumbles over itself by keeping it going during the sex scenes. When you combine this with the fact that sex scenes read more like summaries than immersive experiences, you get a lot of very underwhelming sex scenes that feel very much like, "You crack a joke and take off your clothes. You're fucking her. She cracks a joke. You continue fucking her. You both cum. End of day"

I'd recommend Futa Oasis to almost anyone because it's entertaining enough for at least one playthrough, but I'd like to see more polish.

    MinusPlus

    Pros:
    - solid writing with good grammar and solid character personality
    - the inclusion of a trans woman is a nice little thing, and her connection to the mc by being from the outside world is a nice splash of variety
    - the concepts and ideas to the game are solid
    - solid scene variety, could be improved
    - chibi art is very cute
    - moving the coin for choices is a nice bit of stylistic flavor

    Cons:
    - the card game is very unbalanced, especially early on. You lose very fast and your favor gains can be slow, or negative if you're unlucky
    - the art quality is average to poor, with less than pleasing colors and the occasional odd face. The chibi art is strangely high quality by comparison, so this is confusing.

    Suggestions:

    - rework the card game to focus on answering questions directly and gauging responses and predicting how to act. For this, cards wouldn't be involved. Instead, cards are used to boost favor, or restore "health" during a round of the game. Remove favor loses with fractions from taking damage, instead favor loses should be predicated the player's responses. Here is an example of how a round would go:

Question: How are your festivals where you live? (Asked by a Priestess)

Answer 1: Festivals are dull and boring (lose favor, taking damage and lose reputation)
Answer 2: Festivals are occasional and are tons of fun when they happen (gain some favor but no reputation with the faction)
Answer 3: Festivals are a spiritual and regular part of life everyone enjoys (gain a good amount of favor and reputation with the faction)
Answer 4: Festivals are a great time for fucking around and just not giving a damn (gain some favor but lose reputation with the faction)

Before picking an answer, the player can set up cards. Cards you pick boost favor or reduce damage or have some other effect. Cards have energy costs and you gain energy every turn, but you don't regenerate what you use at the end of the turn. Not using a card will make you take damage no matter what. Cards have types which can correlate with a faction. Matching types with faction gives a reputation bonus but failing to do so makes you lose some of your health and some reputation, but you can still gain favor.

    - I'm not going to say "just get better artists" because that would be disrespectful and reductive, but really the art quality here just isn't good enough, though it shows potential. This is something that could improve with time.

I definitely enjoyed the art and the concepts. I really like the "fish out of water" scenarios like this.

However, the characters quickly become unlikable and massive jerks contradicting their "openness" that they talk about. Even though this is a "sandbox", you're basically going to be forced into a transition. If your not cool with that... Oh well. I don't care for games that portray themselves to open adventures only to force you down a single path.

Does it need more refinement? hell yes, it does. Most of the time characters are offscreen and the like, but never mind that. I thought this game was going to be woke trash... I´m glad to find out I was wrong. Woke? yes, but in a very reasonable way.

    I tried v 0.61

Neat game, with some interesting mechanics. Art and writing are decent. Needs a lot more work, but shows promise. If you have the bandwidth to spare, then go ahead and give it a shot. Be warned, tho, that it's a little bit of a slow build. Not excessive, but keep it in mind.

I kinda fell bad for the 3 stars, but at the moment its all I can give.

The dialogues are weird. Like I am always second guessing the sanity of some characters. Sure sometimes its funny, but for example quite a few dialogues between yasmin and the players are straight up strange. Whatever the intended effect (unless its bewildering the reader) its not working.
Drawings are fine, personally the futa variant where the pussy is part of the balls weirds me out, but thats a matter of taste i guess.

Thank god the author gave an option of skipping the game. I tried it and the best I can say it that it may become decent in the future ? Seriously I do not see a way where a game(the card one) on the current basis could be fun. Your starting cards are shit and even though you get better ones that are actually 'fun' to play or are at least somewhat interesting the game comes around and imposes a limit. . . Coupled with the hard rng factor of the card game and its boring and tedious at best. Again. Compliments for making it skippable

All that said. I am going back in to explore some of the characters I neglected. Maybe they are better written. without the card game this time...

Fairly interesting gameplay mechanics (the cards part) and concept. The music is catchy with those electro swing themes and the art is good too. I'd nice to have some hints on how to unlock the scenes (like place to trigger those, minimum dom/sub and love...)

I'll keep an eye on this one, looks fairly promising

If Futa is your thing this is really good. A unique art style and fun characters. Very much a 9/10 game.

Biggest complaint is that the gameplay is a bit tedious after so many days, but since they also included an option to skip it I would say it isn't that big of a complaint.

all of the characters are assholes except the one that isn't a futa. they actually get worse the more you know them. trying to get reputation is a fucking chore and the main card game isn't that interesting which sucks since it is the majority of your gameplay. played for a couple hours and SAW three tits, 1 pair and a single tit, along with one characters dick twice.

    DawnCry

Overall it's an average, game, if you like futa you may enjoy it more than me so I decided to give 3 stars based on it. The reasons I didn't like the game are the following:

1º Deck building: You see in your job all you have to do is pick choices based on a deck of options for when you are asked about different stuff, the issue is... it isn't funny to play at all and the deck building ends up as something tedious.

To be fair the dialogues can be fairly fun sometimes but soon they will get repetitive and you have only 3 options from your deck about how to answer, I would rather have options such as "being sarcastic, sincere, nostalgic..." than having to choose sometimes from the same card and all being a failure, I think it would have been much better if rather than all the deck building you could earn personality points that would unlock some answers or make you talk differently to people (getting reactions because of it).

For example a nostalgic person would have a really good score with our blonde female making it easier to earn relationship points or even giving bonus points, however the priestess would take it as an insult to their customs, on the other hand being sarcastic could be positive with the priestess (cause she seems to be oblivious to the sarcasm) but the blonde futanari would take it as offensive.

I just feel that the current system gets old really fast and it isn't funny to play.

2º Events are linked to the place in which you talk to the girl: Don't take me wrong, on one hand I understand the reason, but on the other when we try to interact with the girl we have to verify on each place to advance her events, because at a certain place she doesn't have events cause you saw them all but on others there are still some events to be seen.

This just gives me a weird feeling and makes me wonder if there wasn't anyway to actually make it better or... just not dependant on the place?.

3º No sexual interactions between cast: Seeing how structured is their society I would have expected something more, albeit I guess that perhaps it's trying to evade someone calling for the three letter tag... but to be fair futa on female and futa on futa is kinda cool to see and would find it fun to see some scenes related to it.

While the 3º point is more personal (I just like the cast interacting with each other) on a major note I just feel that currently the gameplay aspect gets boring really fast and your job of answering questions would work better with stats and options rather than the deckbuilding stuff. That's about it.

Real happy with the game so far, futa on male is great content. My minor gripe is some of the hotkeys that seem to be in other ren'py games like right click to bring up save menu, and being able to scroll backwards, however these are extremely minor problems and the game content itself is high quality.

    For v0.41
Really promising game and the dev can write MC and other characters. Card game is a bit weird but you get the hang of it, albeit you quickly realise it's currently useless. There is a LOT of dialogue with choices, and hopefully it becomes expanded upon the next chaps.
Sex scenes are not tacked on and really thrown at face and characters are really expanded on.

I didn't know that Futa on Male + Electro Swing was something I wanted, but now that I have it, I can't live without it.

I like the art style, and I like the writing style a lot. All the characters have their own personality, and you’re likely to find someone to latch onto.

Personally, I’m not a big fan of reading, but the writing here did make me laugh and want to keep going.
