Game keeps going to menu options

I recently had to replace my hard drive and now any game I download to play, it keeps switching from the gameplay to the
menu options about every 5 seconds. I am on a Windows 10 PC with a Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Quad CPU @ 2.40GHz 2.39 GHz
NVIDIA Graphics and 8.00 GB of RAM. Has anyone else experienced this problem?
