So I'm writing up some ideas for a new game. It's going to be an RPG, third player top down style. I have two different ideas for it in my head and I want people's opinions on which they think would go over better. Not going to put all my ideas, just the basics.

First idea is a post apocalyptic world, kind of like Mad Max, with broken down machinery and dead vehicles. Some of the thoughts on this is guns, robots, mutants, zombies, raiders, etc. And of course, sex.

The other idea is a cyber-punk world along the same lines as the original Shadowrun game, or the Altered Carbon TV series. Ideas here are mythological creatures like orc, elves, pixies, etc living in a futuristic world alongside humans. Guns, androids, neuro-hacking, state altering drugs, magic, etc. And of course, sex.

Both ideas involve crafting, collecting resources, puzzles, turn based battles that involve sex along with HC scenes during story mode.

I'm on the fence on which way to go so I am asking the group on what preference they would like to see.

The other idea.
Reason: Too many zombies and post apocalyptic worlds.

In terms of actual storytelling, it all boils down to what can better frame the game you have in mind and the best suited to your skills.

However, there is a certain fatigue to post-apocalyptic worlds given how many of those we have seen in every media in the last ~20 years and with a certain upcoming highly hyped (more than it should) game, the cyberpunk theme is on the rise and might be a good idea if you can jump in the ship before everyone and their landladies starts making cyberpunk porn.
