I've discovered that I really like games where you don't just choose between 2 or 3 options, and as it turns out I don't really mind if they're mostly text based and less visual. I've played those 2 in the title and really liked them, any others that I should know about? They don't have to be the same thematically

I'd play at least once Newlife and Gilr Life.
Also, people speak highly of Degrees of Lewdity (I never played it though).

I'm quite a big fan of Newlife and Female Agent. An interesting one is Cursed. It's pretty old and abandoned but thought it was quite good for what they had.
While this is off the beaten path, you might like Lab Rats 2 but it's more of a management game.
