I don't use a chromebook, but if you're using one of the upper-end ones (used loosely), I'd have a hard time seeing it not play Ren'py games at the very least.
Chromebooks, outside of some of the newer ones, run on what is essentially stock android. Just in a different form factor. Which means unless said game has an .apk file, you'll need to emulate with JoiPlay or something of that sort. can run it fine, especially seeing as a lot of Chromebooks have similar specs now.
I'm not sure if JoiPlay handles QSP or RPGM games, though, or if they have any equivalent for Android.
