Games stop where the previous version stopped after loading saves from previous versions

When I install the latest version of a game I played previously and load a saved file, the newer version also stops where the previous version story ended?And then even when I start a new game the same happens. Is there a solution for this?

Hmm, since it also happen when you start a new game, I'm tempted to advice you to read the game change log.

I figured that happens only when the install folder is the same as previous, I changed the install directory and it is a temporary fix
