There are a number of games I enjoy, and they seem to be going well, then they just seem to Die in place. WVM is one of them, Estate Dominate is another one. Yes, I know that producing these games cost money, and I have subscribed and donated to several games (6-8) but have stopped after I haven't seen any results in a certain period of time. Maybe it's me, maybe it's not, but when you start something finish the damn thing. Initially I was doing $10 or so donations, but after several months with no updates I stopped doing that. Bottom line if you want to make some money and have a good time creating something, then do it with passion.

Hi,
I would say - most of those Devs already do/did it with "passion".

They just lack "professionalism".

(or Real life came in unexpected and ruined the whole thing - shit happens)

you maybe should stick to buying completed games - or pirating.

Well, when you have tiny teams or one dev plus maybe an artist working on the game, anything in their life can affect the development cycle. Or hell, just burnout. And the longer the development goes on, the more likely this is to happen at some point, especially with smaller projects that cannot be the dev's sole source of income.
