looking for corruption games where a female character goes through design changes after reaching certain stages of corruption, sort of like the Alters in the Fate series. doesn't matter if the one being corrupted is the MC or if the MC is the one doing the corruption. would prefer if the game's translated into something understandable. was hoping magical girl celesphonia would have this kind of aspect to it but alas.

main example of a game like this i already know of is the VenusBlood series, where after the MC has corrupted the girls enough, they undergo a transformation. i've played hollow and frontier, haven't touched any other games from the series. stages of corruption would be preferable but as long as it's got it

Visual changes are very common in corruption games. Are you limiting to fantasy settings or somesuch? Because otherwise, just about any trainer would apply.

no specific setting. most trainer games i don't find the artstyles of very appealing, and most of the corruption games i've played so far don't have changes as significant as what i'm looking for. probably should've been a bit more specific in the title but wasn't sure how to phrase it. looking for stuff more like VenusBlood's transformations of the heroine than, say, acerola games where the girl can just wear more revealing outfits as she gets corrupted.

should've mentioned in the first post, i don't really like 3DCG or real porn stuff

Corruption games what a joke.
But again for japanese it just 悪堕ち "falling to evil" or 闇落ち falling to darkness with not exactly same by tropes and structure of narrative . Based on general knowledge the more common for western made and for westerns translated from japan titles most know as 堕落 depravity; degradation used for genre such as moral degeneration. or 快楽堕ち or 完堕ち with NTR .
For the western audience corruption tag the most vague definition and different from person to person and not all languages same meaning for corruption.
His request fits the Japanese definition of this genre

  1. I mean you understand when you at least look inside in that bubble called japan industry.

  2. [10:22]
To put it simply, it is when a person on the right side of justice joins the wrong side for some reason, or becomes an enemy of the hero's side. For example, Anakin Skywalker of "Star Wars" was trapped in the dark side of the Force and became Darth Vader, a member of the Galactic Empire. Also, Chibi-Usa from "Sailor Moon" was brainwashed by Wiseman and descended into the Black Moon clan. In this way, evil corruption can be said to be "an ally becoming an enemy," but this would be synonymous with "betrayal" or "defection. In order to distinguish it from other genres, the following definition has been adopted by the Fallen Research Institute.

  3. [10:23]
What is Evil Corruption? We, the Evil Corruption Research Organization, study evil corruption on a daily basis based on the question, "What is evil corruption? Although our research is never-ending, we have compiled this simple summary of evil corruption. I hope this helps you to understand the Evil Corruption. If you would like to know more about evil corruption, I hope you will also read this article.

  4. [10:24]
1 What is the Evil Fall? (1) Overview When you were a child, did you ever feel an inexpressible excitement when you saw a character on your side turn evil in a special effects hero show or anime? Akuochi is a magical word for such situations where an ally turns into an enemy. In this article, I will start with an explanation of what evil fall is, explain the appeal of evil fall, and then look at evil fall from various perspectives, including the environment surrounding evil fall.

  5. [10:25]
    (2) History of Evil Corruption (simplified version) To put it simply, Evil Falling is one of the "genres" such as "tsundere" or "male daughter". It is a new genre that has only recently been recognized, especially in the 2000s, and has been created and developed mainly through media such as anime, manga, and games. Originally, the concept was born around 2002 from a particular thread on an anonymous bulletin board, and at the time the term was created, it was only applied to situations where the heroine was brainwashed or trained to fall into evil. However, it is now used to describe a wide range of situations in which allies become enemies, regardless of the gender of the fallen person or whether the situation is adult-oriented. This kind of general evil fall is called "evil fall in a broad sense. In contrast, the aforementioned "heroine falls into evil through brainwashing or training" is called "evil fall in a narrow sense" if it is limited in its original meaning.

  6. [10:26]
Evil fallen in a broader sense existed long before the word "evil fallen" was coined. In Japan, there is the goddess Izanami-no-mikoto, described in the Kojiki (Records of Ancient Matters). After her death, she fell into Hades, and eventually became angry at the actions of her husband Izanagi-no-mikoto, declaring that she would kill all the humans on earth and separated from him. This situation can be interpreted as a true fall from grace. In addition, Momiji Ozaki's "Golden Nightfall" (1897-1902) and Ryunosuke Akutagawa's "Rashomon" (1915) also depict scenes of human beings falling into the path of evil. In this way, there are many situations in which people fall into the path of evil or antagonize the protagonist of the story for some reason, and with the establishment of the term and concept of "evil fall," various studies have begun to be conducted across different periods and works. This is called the "retrospective of the evil fall". Our organization, the Organization for the Study of Evil Falling (hereinafter referred to as the "Fallen Research Institute"), is an organization that studies this "evil falling". As a side note, the term "evil fall" is sometimes read as "waru-ochi," which means "a failure of the performer in a play or performance that causes the audience to laugh or jeer at the performer when he or she fails. (Daijirin, 3rd edition)" This is a different word from "bad fall". In addition, the word "evil fall" is sometimes read as "waru-ochi" and refers to a situation where one becomes "evil (waru)", but this is also a different concept from "evil fall". Furthermore, on the subject of Kanji characters, "fall" and "crash" are often mistaken for each other because of the similarity in Kanji characters, but please note that the latter refers to something that physically crashes.

  7. [10:29]
    (3) Definition of the Evil Fall In order to go deeper into the subject of depravity, it is necessary to first clarify the definition of evil corruption. The definition of evil corruption proposed by the Fall Institute is A strong concept of evil. There must be a change in the state of the fall. We define evil fallenness as anything that satisfies these two conditions. To put it simply. A person who is on the right side of justice becomes on the wrong side for some reason. A person who becomes an enemy of the protagonist The difference between (1) and (2) is that The difference between (1) and (2) is whether or not the concept of evil was clear at the time of the fall. If there is no mention of what is evil in the story, but the fallen person becomes evil himself by falling into evil, then he has created the concept of evil, which is the latter. In this way, the Evil Fall is not determined by the existence of specific evil forces, but rather, the interpretation of "evil" has a certain range. Incidentally, there is a similar concept of "Darkness Corruption", which I will explain in detail in (5) Difference between Darkness Corruption and Evil Corruption.

  8. [10:30]
    (4) Types of Corruption From here on, I will explain the different types of evil corruption with specific examples of evil corruption. The types of evil corruption are summaries of the methods of evil corruption with characteristic words, for example, "brainwashing" and "training". When we systematically categorized evil corruption based on various conditions, we found that it can be roughly classified into the following eight types of evil corruption. (1) brainwashing / (2) modification / (3) syncretism / (4) possession / (5) assimilation / (6) parasitism / (7) dark corruption / (8) awakening. The classification will be explained in more detail in "(1) Types of Evil Corruption" in "6 Considerations on Evil Corruption". From here on, I will explain these eight types in detail. The "master" in the explanation refers to the person who causes the corruption, and the "subject" refers to the person who is corrupted. The "hero" refers to the main character of the story, and the "heroine" refers to the female protagonist or the main female character. We also use the terms "person" and "character" to refer to the characters in the story, but not only people, but also animals, machines, and a wide range of other things can be subjected to evil corruption.

  1. 1) Brainwashing Brainwashing is one of the standard methods of corruption, along with "modification" (see below). Brainwashing is a method to dye the target's thoughts to the evil side. What is important in brainwashing is that the subject is not manipulated, but is imprinted to believe that he is acting of his own will. There are many methods of brainwashing, starting from simple "hypnosis" to "brainwashing techniques" and "brainwashing devices," including those with strong fantasy elements. Training," which has SM-like elements, is another type of brainwashing. Examples of brainwashed characters include Erci Cargo from "Battle Mecha Zabungle" (1982-1983) and Exelen Browning from "Super Robot Wars OG series" (2002-). Note that Exelen can be brainwashed, but he is also a special character that falls under the category of "Awakened" as described below. 2) Modification Along with brainwashing, alteration is one of the most common methods of corruption. It is a method of remodeling the subject's body while at the same time messing with the brain to make the subject a spire of evil. It is similar to brainwashing, but while brainwashing applies mental pressure, alteration applies physical and material pressure to corrupt. The point is that while brainwashing can be resisted with mysterious powers such as "mental power," remodeling cannot be resisted, and is a forced corruption. This is a technique often used in tokusatsu (special effects) works, and there are many variations, such as weaponization, combatant transformation, and monster transformation.

  2. [10:33]
Another point is that the modification can be applied not only to humans but also to machines. While most of the evil corruption methods are based on mental interference, remodeling, along with "assimilation" and "parasitism," is a method that can corrupt even machines through physical and material interference. For example, Ginga Nakajima of "Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha StrikerS" (2007) was modified by the enemy scientist Jair Scaglietti to become "Number 13" of the main characters' enemies, the Numbers. 3) Synchronization Synchronization refers to a situation in which the master's mere presence in the space causes the subject to fall into evil, rather than altering the subject at the will of the master, as in brainwashing or modification. For example, just by the appearance of an evil leader, the space is controlled by the evil waves that the leader emits, and the thoughts of the leader are tainted with evil in a way that is in tune with the evil waves, resulting in evil corruption. This type of corruption is often seen in fairies who are easily influenced by space, and the targets are often unspecified. In addition, characters such as followers, servants, and summoned beasts may also be corrupted at the same time as their masters are corrupted. Curly Nagisa from Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's (2008-2011) is an enemy of the Dark Signer, and her main deck, the Divination Deck containing the Divination Witch series, was transformed into the Fortune Lady series when she awakened into the Dark Signer. series. In this way, summoners and followers are affected by their master's state, and are categorized as synchronized when they take on an evil, corrupted form that is a complete change from their previous appearance. In addition, when a person who has been corrupted first corrupts another person, it is called "chain corruption.
  3. [10:36]
    4) Possession Possession is an evil corruption in which the master takes over the body of the subject. Since the master takes over the subject's body by interfering with the mind, there is basically no physical change. In most cases, the changes are limited to the master's costume, wings, tails, and emblems, but in some cases, being possessed releases the master's original power and form, and the person becomes deformed. As the saying goes, possession is only possible when the master is a spirit, so the master who has a body must become a spirit. Therefore, possession is a corruption that can only be caused by a spirit or a super creature, such as a yokai, which is not a living being. Since the masters of possession are often yokai, and the targets are often priestesses or demonesses, possession is said to be a purely Japanese form of depravity. When a person is possessed, the subject's consciousness is replaced by the master's, and the subject's consciousness usually disappears. There are many works that deal with possession, but most of them are only possessed for a short while and are immediately dispelled, and there are few possessions that become the protagonist's enemy for a long time. Among them, Kabuto, the chief of the Onirin who possessed Madoka Otowa in "GetBackers" (1999-2007), and Hagoromo Kitsune, the lord of the Kyoto monsters who possessed Otome Yamabuki in "Nurarihion no Mago" (2008-2012) are examples of possessions that reign as enemies of the protagonist.

  4. [10:36]
    5) Assimilation Assimilation is a method of assimilating or merging with a master, becoming one with him, and then falling into evil in the form of being controlled by him. The difference between assimilation and parasitism is that assimilation takes place within the boundaries of the subject. For example, "absorption," which is a type of assimilation, is an evil corruption that occurs outside the boundaries of the subject because the subject's body is completely taken in by the master. Most assimilation involves taking control of the body and at the same time interfering with the mind to take over the consciousness, but there are some cases where the consciousness remains intact and only the magical power or energy is sucked up. A "biological unit" is a type of assimilation that is taken in by a giant creature or large machine and used as a control unit or energy source. Biological units are explained in detail in "4 Biological Units and Evil Corruption".

  5. [10:36]
    6) Parasitism Parasitism can be interpreted as a subset of "assimilation," but in the Fallen Institute, we specifically refer to assimilation that occurs within the boundaries of the subject as parasitism. The notion of "boundary" is important in explaining the distinction between assimilation and parasitism, but here we define parasitism as occurring when the master is small compared to the subject. There are three characteristics of parasitism: the first is that the master is smaller than the subject. The first is that the master is smaller than the subject, and because of their small size, some of them may enter the subject's body and fuse with it. The second is that parasitism, unlike assimilation, does not require fusion. Second, unlike assimilation, parasitism does not require fusion. For this reason, it is appropriate to describe parasitism in terms of "nesting in the subject (physically and mentally)" as "existing (within) the boundaries" mentioned above. The third difference between parasitism and possession is that parasitism requires the master to be physically present, and the parasitism involves some physical interference. Physical interference is the counterpart to the mental interference of possession, for example, parasitic plants such as mandragora stick to the body of the subject and assimilate and manipulate the subject. Vegeta, the parasite of Baby in "Dragon Ball GT" (1996-1997), is another example of a parasite that involves physical interference and change.

  6. [10:37]
One of the characteristics of parasitism is that the master may be unable to communicate with humans, but on the other hand, there are cases where the alien, who should be unable to communicate with earthlings, learns human communication tools (i.e. language) through parasitism and becomes able to communicate with humans. This kind of situation often occurs when the master absorbs the abilities of the human being it is assimilating, and thus becomes able to communicate with the human being. Also, parasitism is characterized by various stages in the erosion of the subject's psyche: some parasites remain symbiotic, some take over the psyche at once after parasitism, and some slowly erode the psyche through physical changes.
  7. [10:37]
⑦ Darkness Falling The original meaning of the word "Yami Ochi" is "to fall due to the darkness of the mind. For the sake of convenience, we call the latter "darkness" in order to distinguish between "awakening," which is an inherent evil fall, and "active evil fall due to changes in thoughts and feelings," which is an acquired evil fall. For this reason, when discussing the different types of evil fall, "Yami-Ochi" is interpreted as the common part of both evil fall and dark fall. What is important about the Darkness Fall is that negative emotions such as "hatred" and "despair" are not the only causes of the Evil Fall. For example, "hegemony," the pursuit of power, and "aggression," the expansion of power, can also be part of the Fall. In Darkness Fallen, the emotions that we all have are the driving force behind the Evil Fallen, so there is a very human story there. This is the kind of depravity that is often seen in novels that easily portray the inner life of human beings, and since ancient times, various works have portrayed the darkness in the hearts of various characters. For example, "Despair" by Olmstead in "Live A Live" (1994), "Revenge" by Kyosuke Oniyanagi in "Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's" (2008-2011), and "Loneliness" by Kosen Isayama in "Gourai-zero" (2008).

  8. [10:40]
    8) Awakening Awakening refers to a situation in which the factors rooted within you awaken and cause you to fall into evil. In many cases, such as "I am the reincarnation of the Demon King, but I lost my memory as the Demon King" or "My DNA is inscribed with the factor of awakening, which should make me an enemy of humanity," I already have the factor at birth, so I am classified as an inherent evil corrupter. On the other hand, factors that were implanted long ago and blossom under certain conditions, such as the case of Utsugi Mikoto from "GaoGaiGar" (1997-1998), are also included in awakening. In the case of Life, in particular, the implanted factor evolved in its own way and became a new enemy called "Kikai Shintou," which is different from the enemies of the past. This kind of "becoming an existence (third force, etc.) different from the previous enemy" is also a characteristic of awakening.

the ExS-Tia series seems interesting enough to me that i'm willing to give it a shot with textractor, but i'm pretty new to the VN space and haven't been able to find any trustworthy sites that have untranslated VNs available for free.
