Seeking Games with interesting mechanics

I'm looking for basically the opposite of VNs, games with actual interesting mechanics.

Please suggest stuff. I've already played a bunch of games, and I'll keep editing/updating this post with stuff people recommend.

Here's just a few to kick things off:

- Queen of the Seas - Interesting roulette system
- XXXivilization - In general an interesting variant of a strategy game
- Free Cities - Management gameplay
- Kamidori Alchemy Meister - Generally an interesting strategy game
- Sengoku Rance - Infuriatingly hard strategy game (but in generally a good way)

Heh I actually had it in there and accidentally removed it. Yep, this is a good one.

Well Eiyuu Senki is basically the same type of game. You may like it. Maybe take a look on Bunny Black. But it contains a lot of grinding.
