Looking for a game you can really get lost in, and its not just a VN. the only game that's had this type of feeling for me has been 'Foot of the mountains' simply because its so buggy it actually adds to the grind. Any grindy games with rewarding scenes that aren't a simple VN would be great. thx all

mysterious, you get no explanations, up to you to find things out. has 3 dozen or so endings, playing them all then somewhat adds up to the whole story. difficult, and yes grindy.

Daibanchou.
To see it all it needs maybe 5 or so replays. Very difficult, partly outright cryptic, but overall fun.
Nice to for once have a different sort of MC.

and Monster Girl Quest paradox.
I recommend playing the old Monster Girl Quest before that, then the paradox world and game is more enjoyable, at least for me it was more interesting that way.
You could play a year and still not have found many things.
I played this while being offline, so had to find out every thing myself ... was rewarding.

but a problem is the difficulty level(s), it is just a modifier to enemy stats and insta-KO equipment/skills, so it is difficult to find a suitable diffculty level (do not try "paradox" difficulty from the start - the prologue is impossible, and you have to destroy the story order to succeed). Also depends if you want to play "best team" or maybe, on replay, try out weaker girls/ professions/ races.
