Games with unbolded font

This isn't a problem, but I'm curious as to why some game thread titles have font that isn't in bold. At first I thought it was because I already looked at that page, but some are not in bold which I have never seen before.

unseen posts in the last 30 days
latest post marked as seen or older than 30 days

note the games subforum's default sorting is by thread creation date, so browsing it past the 30 days mark you'll see active threads in bold mixed with unbolded unpopular threads nobody's posting in.

also tied to main page's subforum icon being colored red and having a red new tag. you can press "mark read" button to mark the whole subforum as seen.

Ah, so its based on if people leave a comment/review in the last 30 days?

Are different forums under different rules, because I was looking through updates and the reason I noticed this is that threads like this:
https://f95zone.to/threads/milfs-plaza-17b6.242698/
are not bolded despite being posted just a week ago and having comments as well.

"Latest Updates" = "Latest Games and Updates" runs on custom software, it does not follow usual forum behaviour.
but it should not have non-bold titles at all, tmu.

(and to me Milf's Plaza looks bold-ed there, like everything else)

if people left a comment* that you did not see yet is the criterion.

*(in the last 30 days apparently, which was news to me)

The attached image is what I see. I've seen this kind of thing many other times which is why I was curious as to what the conditions were that caused it, since usually I haven't clicked on them yet.

your account must've already viewed that thread (or more precisely, the page the newest post is on). accidentally clicking on the thread and backing out of it before it finishes loading/opening usually counts, too. so does your roommate using your account when you're not looking.

That makes a lot of sense. I probably did misclick since I use a touch screen sometimes.

The other thing that was confusing me is apparently if you refresh, the change doesn't happen immediately. I clicked several other threads on that page and nothing changed but now when I went back they are unbolded.
