This is actually a pretty good metroidvania, so far. The map seems appropriately laid out, has collectible items scattered around, and has shortcuts that let you loop around to previous areas. The art and animations is also quite good, on both the characters and environments.

In terms of complaints:
- The faces are the one main weakpoint of the art. They honestly feel quite strangely amateurish compared to the very high-quality art everywhere else; kinda reminiscent of those godawful "how to draw manga" books from the 2000s.
- The health bar is really small for some reason? Just odd.
- The writing on item descriptions and h-scenes could maybe use a second pass. The overall prose isn't awful, but it has some grammar problems and an issue with coming off as repetitive.
