Ren'Py - Garden of Venus [v1.0] [OnionCuttingNinja]

I understand the approach but I don't feel like it really nails what it set out to do.

The characters are good for KK about average I'd say. The animations are standard KK fair which actually isn't impressive for a porn forward game. I'm not saying it can't be done, but if you're gonna make something the primary focus do it well.

The writing I get isn't important but holy crap what is here is awful! The errors aren't such a hang up but the stuff they say, I'd rather they don't talk then read this. I don't think there's ever a context where an "argument" being "watery and tight" is sexy. I didn't expect immersion when I picked this one up but I wasn't prepared for what dialogue there was to be a 50/50 chance of ruining the mood...

Events in the game can be taken out of order and you end up with situations where a girl will say it's her first time today but you just railed her yesterday at work...

The free use kink isn't really one I like so much but even I can see it's not handled well here. First he asks for it like it's some kind of government benefit.

"Do you take FUS (Free Use Stamps) lady? cause with your permission I'll ask to fuck you latter if you do."

Just walk into that bar bend her over it and go to town. Why do we gotta reestablish consent EVERY TIME?

Second what's the deal with the lack of the pregnancy tag? It's baked into your story that repopulation is why you're allowed to take a whole town as your harem...what??

1 star for the game and another for Grace. She deserves it.

Not really a game more like a sceneviewer. No Story and no character developement.

Scenes are short and your typical Koikatsu poses. Character models are quite good. Checks the box for public sex.

For what it is, it's okay. Good for a quick session of scientific work.

Ui and characters are looking decent, althought this is koikatsu/illusion.

The downside is there is no story or plot at all.

The "gameplay" is straight. go and watch H scene, no reason, no purpose given. The game starts from your Employer giving you a blowjob in public and telling you that you dont have to work, but can have a freepass with her.

As a result all characters feel like lifeless dolls, with different costumes and different hair color.

I could never give something like this a highscore as this would be a gobsmack to all the good games out there.

Overall decent game. It is simple, with little depth, as it advertises. Models and animations are good enough to draw you in, and the story and characters are written well enough to not act as unpleasant distractions.

Garden of Venus is a fuckfest harem VN running the typical "most of the men are dead" scenario.

There's technically a sliver of story and the girls have an iota of character, but that's basically it. Over 90% of the game is straight porn revolving at least loosely around the free-use fetish. Fortunately, the animations and renders are pretty high quality so it works out decently.

Unfortunately, that's all the game is and it's very early in development (0.3.1) so it might last you thirty minutes or so. I could see this game becoming a four star with the slightest bit of gameplay or a couple compelling harem girls, but right now it's pretty mid. It's worth a look if you like the art and are expecting nothing more than some fucking animations.

Excellent game for me. Sandbox without grind, short dialogs, minimal story and (potentially) tons of sex scenes.

Right now it has just a few girls and interactions, but I already like what Isee.

+ Nice animations with sounds
+ Cute models with realistic proportions
+ All scenes are repeatable through gameplay, not gallery
+ Free-use kink

Cons:

- Free-use is a bit off from actual free-use kink shown in porn. MC still has to talk to a girl about what he's going to do. But free-use kink implies that she continues whatever she was doing, while MC has fun with her.

Its a minor drawback and I think MC's behavior will change over time, so I'm looking forward for new updates with more content.

Another free use game where girls are open to having sex with you with little to no corruption for you to do or work towards.

Reviewing as of v.0.6.2

Pros:

• Sex scenes are animated well
• Character models are great
• SFX are good
• Gallery built in
• Around 30 minutes to an hour to complete
• A few girls to get a scene or two for as of v.0.6.2

Cons:

• A little too straightforward and simple
• Nothing to do at night as of now
• Map is empty, but obviously in early stages so it's not that big of a deal

Conclusion:

Give this game a go and support the developer. I like the game's direction and I'm hoping for some great future updates!

For me, this game is perfect. I didnt know I liked free use before playing this, free use in videos is very different to this. This is good free use. Here its still exiting, not completely open. I would say the girls are just sluttier or more open minded than normally, I wouldnt have called it free use.

I also really liked the conversations. Creative, not too much yapping, , great scenarios. I think you have a talent for this.

I played all your other games after this and wish I would find more content like this. Any recommendations welcomed, I hope this game gets successful.

So far as of 0.1.5 it's off to a great, if quite short, start.

Pros:

• MC isn't an asshole.
• Cute, horny girls, but not bimbos.
• Minimal sandbox elements, no grind.
• Easy progression, you're not going to cut yourself off by mistake.

Cons:

• Might be a little bit too simplistic.

Ok, maybe the girls are unrealistically shallow, but that's what you're here for, right?
I quite enjoyed it, looking forward to more.

Review for v0.1.5

It's a freeuse fantasy VN/sandbox game where MC is the only guy in the neighborhood.

Pros:
- Girls are not some braindead NPCs and actually react to MC's advances, mostly in a horny way
- Most images and some animations are done in first person view
- Some scenes feature MC doing sexy stuff with a girl in front of another girl
- MC is not a shy or rapey guy

Cons:
- It's pretty short, about a half an hour playtime
