Debasing Grounds just got this content but bear in mind it's a game still early in developpement. IMO the game is awesome even now and I hope it keeps getting better. Btw it contains many fetishes. Hope it helps!any games here have petplay content?
I think the truth stands in the middle. Greeks did not identify as gay people, and the married women. Straight people can still enjoy twinks only as sexual partners, because they are not attracted to them. Gay men, especially gay and bisexual tops, can still be attracted to the masculine features of femboys; even if some coupling patterns are more frequent than others.1. and 2. are an incredibly problematic take. To properly address everything wrong with it you'd need to unravel way more than is space for here, but i'll try my best to point out what came to mind immediately for me.
Terms for sexuality are not very accurate because sexuality and the connected topics such as gender identity are all each a spectrum, not a checklist - the term gay is a catchall for all attraction to the same gender and cannot be used in the way shown here.
Sissies, femboys and traps are all male, both in body parts and in terms of self identification - if they identified as female, then none of the three would apply.
Attraction to them as a male thus means this is gay, no matter their interests in "traditionally female" topics or how they present outwards.
Denying this would lead to the conclusion that lesbians who are attracted to butch women are somehow not lesbian, rather "straight women with certain fetishes", because butch women often have interests in "traditionally male" topics and present more "male" than "female" - its in conflict with the very definition of the word AND the writings of most LGBT authors who have researched and written on the topic.
The men in ancient greek stories of pederasty, which are commonly used as THE example of gay people in antiquity in popular culture, also would not be gay if we applied the logic outlined in this comment as boys and young men do not have the features typically associated with "manliness" such as lots of bodyhair including beards, large muscles and overall larger bodies.
You can definitely be a gay man and only be interested in more feminine men, just like you can be a gay man and only be interested in hyper masculine men, thats simply the way the word is defined and you'll have to deal with femboys showing up under the gay term just as lesbians looking for femme content will have to deal with butch content showing up.
The statement that "[..]some gay men into that, but that' cuz they have those fetishes, not because they are gay." is thus simply incorrect.
Futa is a bit of a more difficult topic, however as they have male and female genitals, attraction to them means that you cannot be grouped under the term straight.
2. falls apart since 1. is already a completely incorrect point.
The Greeks were misogynists, culturally speaking. The male form was the ultimate of beauty and intellect. You wonder why Sappho had it rough. I wouldn't get too far down that line of thinking.I think the truth stands in the middle. Greeks did not identify as gay people, and the married women. Sorry, but this is too much an oversimplification for an ancient nation and culture that lasted and developed for more than 900 years. Not talking about the details... CheersThe Greeks were misogynists, culturally speaking. The male form was the ultimate of beauty and intellect. You wonder why Sappho had it rough. I wouldn't get too far down that line of thinking.
Also what we consider gay and bisexual behavior was in ancient Greece much, MUCH, more common. However as was stated there were modes that we would consider pedophilia, rape and toxic masculinity. Consent was not a thing in Greek culture, there's a lot of rape in the Greek myths for a reason.
To reframe the original statement "obligate gay males, i.e. cismales that are only attracted to masculine cismales" are indeed rare. Most common type after heterosexuals are bisexuals. A lot bisexuals are forced to "choose a side", but that doesn't change their orientation. Labels are for cans, but to reject all feminine display is rare.
I'm not interested in your mental gymnastics, not how you want to define "gay", nor your gender politics.1. and 2. are an incredibly problematic take. Not only all of this, but last I checked, they were finally working on a new tag system, but I read about that.. how many months ago exactly? I hope it's been being worked on in all this time instead of just starting/laying out the groundwork, and then leaving it to collect dust..yea.. I think it's best to reitarate that most are just asking for better tags. so for example; make it so a completely staight game with one trap character won't show up if you are searching for mlm (I personally have been dissapointed too many times by situations like this).
Hell, the bad tag system is the whole reason this thread exists.
please, don't get my hopes up. also do you remember where you read that? Not only all of this, but last I checked, they were finally working on a new tag system, but I read about that.. how many months ago exactly? Easy find, in hindsight!please, don't get my hopes up. also do you remember where you read that?
