Ren'Py - Gazonga Chronicles [v0.7] [JollyTheDev]

Surprised I have yet to review this one seeing as I've been a fan for quite a while. Understandably, this may not be every viewers taste, but the game is consistent in what it provides which is obvious from the title. It does not disappoint regarding the size of the breasts in the game should that be something you like and if you do not it does not waste your interest by providing anything other than that.

The overall story isn't too complicated while still remaining slightly more involved than a gallery viewer. It gives you the gaming satisfaction of accomplishing tasks without requiring too much before providing a reward. It's fast paced yet allows you to get to know the cast just enough to want to pursue their individual quests and also provides multiple outcomes for replay value.

Cons that can be mentioned would be the lack of highlighting every single bit of the environment that can be interacted with, but not enough to detract from the value of the game in my opinion. A former complaint I could have had would be the confusing navigation of the environment though as of 0.7 this has been updated and is more straightforward.

Stretching the nitpicking, if you can't stand seeing anybody but the MC take advantage of the girls in the game, then the very first chapter may not be your cup of tea, but I implore anyone sensitive to these things to look past that and enjoy the rest of the game, no girl isn't eventually attained by the MC and all "ntr" is avoidable. This game is great and I'm very impressed by the amount of content in each update as well as the frequency so kudos to the dev for their work ethic and quality of product.

The game has comedy, certain obscure fetishes, quick easy gameplay, short fun stories and great sound design from the music to the sfx. You do yourself a disservice if you pass by this game, unless you're truly averse to hyper breasts.

Not a bad story and many like that your actions mean something. Definitely want to see where this goes. I wish there more options though, kinda just picking 2 sides of story and want it to move more in the direction of choose your own adventure.

Pros:

• There is a gallery
• Around 1-2 hours to complete
• The animations are really well made
• The characters are really well made and *huge* in proportions
• The navigation got reworked so it's a lot better. Still janky sometimes and rough around the edges but I;m happy with the update.
• A silly but fun and interesting plot
• There are choices you can make that lead to different outcomes
• BGM is unique and groovy

Cons:

• As mentioned, the navigation is still janky, even with the rework.
• Some scenes have better SFX and VFX than others
• I feel like the worlds are empty, but it's early in the builds so I hope more content gets added to the worlds and not just have a list of 15 empty worlds.
• The writing definitely needs some work/proofreading.

Conclusion:
If you are into the small MC with a big dick and all the female characters are hugely stacked, this game is for you. I look forward to future updates for the game!

this games is fantastic. the plot, the gameplay and the models are perfect. i've played it many times and everytime it didn't bored me at all!
the only thing i'd do is to fix the gallery so every scene has its own place so the player knows when he has collected every scene.

Feels very much like someone's first game. Navigation is often confusing, "puzzles" are strange, and dialogue that clearly needs another pass... BUT! It's still pretty good, or at least I think this developer will someday make a good game. The porn is good, as is the character designs (most of them, I'm not a fan of the robots), and there's a nice variety of scenes, which saves it in my eyes. If I had any major complaints right now, it'd be that the dev should focus on the main story more (why is there a Halloween level? And a Dragon Ball level?), highlight interactable objects better (maybe just add an outline?), and pick one consistent way of navigating areas (do you want me to select from a menu, or click on part of the screen?). I'd say most, if not all, of those complaints come from this being a new dev, trying things out and learning as they go, but I think it's important to shore up the whole package sooner rather than later. Plenty of games have fallen into the pitfall of having a really well made late game, while making a poor impression with the early game, and then having to do massive "revision" updates. I think you can avoid that later if you take some extra time now!

Ehhh... It's not bad in the porn aspect, the animations are pretty good for what they are, and the body proportions are better than what most H-game devs will usually put on the table. But the scenes are also pretty short, and often times it feels like there could be a follow-up scene to one that just finished but it'll never happen, there's no sloppy seconds to be gained despite the game being very situated around non-con or dub-con sex.

The dialogue is to put it bluntly, pretty awful. Several minutes in and I've gone off reading anything else anybody has to say. Not good for a story-heavy game format like a VN, perhaps others might see VNs with a bad story as the norm, but I'll always maintain my standards for story-heavy porn games.

What pushes this from 2 stars to 3 is that it has a scene viewer built into the game via the home base ship so you don't need to even save before scenes to always have access to them. This is something more VNs need to have, this should be the standard for story-heavy porn games without needing to rely on saves or replaying the game from the beginning for a different route-specific scene.

Just not enough content. But based on dev comments, MC will get big dick and some action. Should be good when that happens.
Writing is mediocre, but fine enough. Music is actually solid.

Obviously, loving the proportions.
What I'm not loving is the "cock-blocking" / "NTR" (though it's not *technically* NTR, but close enough imo) / "cucking" / whatever you want to call it.

Let the MC, who we are immersed in / as, get some action!

Liked it a lot, it's a kinky game, so you kind of have to like some things otherwise it's basically an instant turnoff (aka massive boobs). It offers alternatives story/Game scenes-wise so you'are kinda covered if you don't want to see certain themes, thought they are a bit lacking right now. The gamplay is smooth, the animation are pleasing to watch and it's kind of straightforward, it doesn't make you repeat things 400 times before you get a "reward".
Also the game is pretty smooth, no problem or bugs due to the dialogue choices influencing the world "activities" or going into a forever loop.
The models are great too nice job it seems promising.

The developer clearly has his tastes, and considering how underdelivered said tastes are, I'm more than happy to enjoy some hyper titty and rape action! It's got a really fun energy to it and with the adorable femboy protagonist (who we fail to get a good look at initially, should probably let us get a look at our new body near the beginning rather than just happening to see it) it's obvious to see it takes inspiration from things like Twisted World, which is peak. Although our character has a small dick, which we don't even get to see during his one sex scene where he rapes the unconscious body of the dark elf. Personally, I'd MUCH prefer a massive dicked femboy so that he can go around having his own share of raping, but that's just me

While it's definitely a fun time to have all the girls getting raped constantly, I would like to see more scenes like the minotaur one with unique/animal cock shapes. It's also pretty obvious the dev wants you to go for the rape routs, since the alternatives usually just reward you with a bit of titty jiggling at best. Still, the style of this game is a lot of fun and definitely entertaining, so I'm excited to see where this goes! Hopefully we get more monster rape, hell even bestiality rape, scenes down the line!

Edit for 0.3: This game jumped the shark further into clown world but honestly I can't complain in the slightest lmao. Also, spoiler alert, but we finally get the MASSIVE FEMBOY SCHLONG of our dreams!

Smooth animations and huge tits are all a game really needs. Looking forward to seeing more of this. Interactable things should be highlightable with arrow keys though. Best of luck to the dev! What else do I need to say. I simply do not know.

Good first demo, It has a basic isekai plot so far, but it follows a logical order and already has multiple scenes, which is leagues ahead of most games at this point.

A couple pain points that I can see happening if they aren't updated. I know this is very early so there are probably plans for them but just to make them known:

• It would be a lot easier to navigate if the areas you can click on are outlined in some way. Even a dark outline around the area you can click on would be great without breaking immersion.
• While it doesn't matter now, some sort of quest log/tracking would be nice. If this gets too big without one, it may get annoying.

Overall, happy with this in its current version and looking forward to what the dev comes out with in future updates.
