I see that on so many games...Some with over 10 icons on a map, yet you can only go to one... why not let that out, or make it grey and add a "coming in a future update"

You can actually go to most of the locations. There's just not content in all of them. There is, depending on the circumstances, playable content in the second and third bedrooms, the bathrooms, the gym, the study, and the lounge. There are "end of content" markers on the third floor and the basement and you can't access content in the 4th or 5th bedrooms yet.

You can also interact with Mercedes and Daisy, in the conservatory, Ballroom, Kitchen, Gym, hallways, study, and Billiards room. Their location on any given day is random. You can also interact with the Gardener, but it's a one-off scene.

You can find a key at some point checking the drawers and it opens one of the locked drawers to get the code to the safe in the study.
