Perhaps not the most useful thing to leave a rating/review for a game that, at the time of writing this, is abandoned but oh well.
I think this has (or I guess I should say had) potential. The art is nice, the story is interesting enough, and for being a dating sim it that grindy. Interact with Jessica four times to level up your relationship, maybe do some pet sitting (an idle/incremental/clicker minigame) for some money if you want to change her outfits for aforementioned interaction menu.
Really the main reasons I rate it 2* at best is because from the get-go the game is described as:
You do get three choices when it comes to dialogue (nice/neutral-ish/asshole) but... They all seem to lead you down the same dialogue tree regardless.
The only choices that do anything are the ones when you get an event with Jessica, but those also don't seem to matter any. It's basically just "Hey, wanna continue this event? Yes/No" but with no changes to the outcome one way or the other. I think what makes it especially worse in that regard is that, regardless of the dialogue choices made, your character still grows into more and more of an asshole as you progress down her story.
MAYBE that (choices matter) was going to eventually be true, but it doesn't seem to be as of v0.085 so /shrug
My other gripe is that there's no options for text speed or skipping. I realize I said the game isn't that grindy, but... When you have to interact with her four times to level up and there's 7 or 8 events? It would be nice to have if you don't have an autoclicker to sit through the same chat or interaction options. Again, perhaps something that was planned for the future but isn't available at the time of writing, so...
Regardless of all that, would I play it again in the future if the dev returns and updates it? Sure, probably.
Is it worth checking out at the moment? Eh, it's ok. Maybe if you've got nothing else and want something quick to go through, and especially if you don't mind that it's (at this time) abandoned.
