My guess would be either have low affection with Diula and/or give into the corruption after meeting the slug girl for the first time.
You'd have to be both uncultured and somewhat heartless to not see the positives on Diula, just look at that face;

Hey hey hey, I love Diula, I think she's great- I was just trying to help the guy find his way into her mouth this update, if that's a thing.
Weird assumption that I was critizing you when I was referring to any person who doesn't like Diula.

Huh, I wasn't exactly low on affection or scared, but I did choose for her to indulge.
So Nyxmay confirms MC isn't undead in her route (or Vai's route if you entered it via Nyxmay). This explains why Vai treated and referred to MC as one of the living despite the soul link as he's a living human chained by it to Nyxmay or Vai'Klis.

Turns out Mel does have regular eyes after all, they were only hidden behind her hentai mc haircut. Also my boy Brais just went for it, didn't think he had it in him considering how he reacted to Diula talking about sex with the MC.

Welp the updates weren't what I was expecting, Diula's update even less. I was expecting a more lore focus update..... *sigh* it is what it is. I might sound crazy saying this but I really want a Kendra update, I am very eager to see how her story develops after how the last update ended

Yeah I can't believe I'm saying this, but I actually feel like Nyxmay of all people had the best update this patch. She's an insane, psycho-sadistic broad who should have died alongside her fairies for the good of the world, but she can be sweet, I have to say. It's very easy to RP the MC on that path as just being insane, not the tptbptbtpbtptbtpbtptbtbp kind of insane, but just being her stress doll for her to break and reheal over and over, just taking on all of her pain and suffering- being altruistic to the point of insanity.
