the more i play naya's route, the more i dislike her. she feels like she'd fit in well with the homaspermians. the fact that she's the number one guardian in lycalis is inexplicable. strongest or not, she just makes life harder for madea (and by proxy, her own citizens) by being an impulsive and hypocritical bozo

Lycalis follow a Might Makes Right mentality, including on leadership.

Naya was chosen as the First Guardian of Lycalis because her people wouldn't have accepted someone else. Her flaws make her a bad Guardian, as her actions only worsen the tense relations with Viridice.

Though she's not the only Beast that causes issue. They are a wild people, so they don't really use their brains as much as they probably should. Their stomachs and groins do perhaps too much of the thinking.

The fact that Medea ranks as number two in power is a fortunate coincidence, especially considering she's the most level headed person in the entire game. And yes, I mean that in absolute terms: no strange Persona shadow selves, no yandere murder sprees, no demonic morals , no 'oops, your lungs just popped' surprises, no aiding vampire trafficking, no demolishing towers by being a cluz, no using your entire house to secretely masturbate at night , no forcing palace hallway sex, no vaginal bear traps, no breaking people as makeshift sex toys, and definitely no 'guess I'll eat you because you called me fat' meltdowns. Medea’s stability is a rare beacon in the chaos.

The fact that Naya crosses the border to bother the other realm is kind of stupid, but to the people who follow her, what’s truly stupid is the idea that her hunt should be limited by some lines drawn on the ground. The Queen's Laws are followed only because she decides they should be followed. It’s all very precarious at best.

And it looks like someone hired Makla to drag those corpses out of their sacred tombs. And that someone knew it’d be all too easy to stir things up, given her impulsive and violent ways. She is , in fact, both the greatest danger to her own people and their greatest defender.
