Allow me to fill all the gaps in lore that are troubling you:
1) How the giants are born. Yes
2) Why there are only female giants. Yes
That's how the game treats such questions. Characters just say "It works like that, duh", but that's it. Nothing more.
They don't investigate why... it's natural for them, it's their world as it is, they have enough problems as it is for them to wonder "Hey, my lifelong neighbor is a giant, mmmmm why are there only giant women?" For them it's as natural as water getting wet... Besides, they already explained that 1) the difference between giants and normal ones besides size is their longevity. 2) big girls have difficulties having children, even a purebred like the MC who is as compatible as possible with giants will have difficulties fertilizing (eg, it took Margarita's parents 10 YEARS to have Margarita, poor guy xd).

They also explain magic, the different types of magic, key places, kingdoms, races of people...you can find gargoyles, goblins, succubi, demons BEES etc... so saying that it doesn't have lore is going too far.

Compared to its older self at least. While it's fair to admit that back when the story only had its skeleton, it was hard to determine whether it is good or not, but even technical part is getting much less attention lately, also the narrative skills don't seem to improve with time. Yes, there are some "pearls", scenes that actually work, but those that are soured by terrible writing are still here as same as they were a few years ago, when it was still acceptable.

The way I see problem with GG being linear is how it makes an impression of not being one. The choices you are given do not lead to expected results. Take Nezumicon for example. Basically same basis for the story telling, but in there you, as player, are tied to MC's own character. All you can do is to maneuver just a little bit to have different scenes, but not making Cesar someone else.
GG takes it much further. You can dissuade Regina from war, you can let dark side of Maryen to go all out or keep controlling herself, you can talk Madea out of being a second Guardian. All of these examples however don't decide anything. It's just decorative scale of choices that will still lead to the only possible outcome.
but it changes everything completely, for example let's take the case of Maryen, what happens if we let her go a little overboard with her dark side? Maybe in the future at a given moment she will BETRAY Keisiema, an example like that, no matter how "decorative" a change is, the domino effect applies.

Agreed, Cesar remains Cesar regardless of your choices. He is still horny af regardless of whether you choose to let him act out on it, he knows pop culture and video games regardless of whether you choose to let him speak about it, and he is a prankster and troll even if you choose to keep his mouth shut.

The MC from GG gets his personality decided by your choices, and you choose what he knows, whether he's strong/weak (like in Naya's route for instance with her sex training) or intelligent/dumb, scared/courageous and so on. The problem is that there's little consequence to all this, which makes the chill routes (Margarita's faithful route, Timalfalme castle route and Vai'Klis routes for instance) seem like what the game was intended to be.
good point, It all depends on how the story will continue, after all... it is incomplete, they rush too much into drawing those conclusions being in X version of the game, how Regina or Naya will act according to "our decisions" will be crucial whether they want it or not, calming and helping to relax Naya can have a positive effect in the long run (even without wanting to, thanks to our actions we will make her more efficient in her job as matriarch of Licalis... for example).

Is margarita the only yandere giant?
Marg's the "yandere" yandere, you will get what you expect. However, if unhinged possessiveness is your jam Nyxmay might be for you, she will decide eventually in her route that she likes him and will keep him literally chained to her soul. If you are looking for somewhat gentle possessiveness, Pyeka falls into that category as she's cruel to most tinies but treats MC as her pet. Finally if you want something more gentle than that there's Vai'Klis, who is soft-spoken and never cruel or hurts tinies but will put MC between her buttcheeks if she gets jealous.
