I love reading visual novels (mostly japanese and anime-style) and have already read quite a few, but I have never read a single one about giantesses and in a European fantasy medieval setting!
I accidentally found out about this visual novel relatively recently on a site that allows you to pre-test various video games before you decide whether you want to buy the game or not. I don't know if I would have found out about it any other way. It's hard to say for sure.
I don't think I even read the description of what this visual novel is about, my attention was drawn to the title and cover, and then to the screenshots. That day, it just happened that the distribution of this visual novel was updated to the latest current version and it appeared in the list with other games that were recently updated. I went there to check something specific and was about to leave. However, I noticed this visual novel and became curious. I didn't know about it before and didn't even suspect that such a thing could exist.
Initially, I didn't have any high hopes and probably even had a bit of a skeptical attitude to some extent. But I still decided to download it and see what was there. It was a big success for me that day and it's good that I made the right decision.
Quite quickly I realized that I was starting to like what I was seeing, hearing and reading. The skepticism quickly disappeared.
I think that in this case, making exactly this beginning was a reasonable decision. It allowed us to synchronize with the MC in a sense: we, like him, found ourselves in an unknown place with no idea of who we are and what is happening here. And as the story progresses, we gradually receive new information and we begin to build a general picture of this world, its rules, its inhabitants. And I really like the approach that allows us to see some events from different perspectives (it reminded me of the experience of playing the original "Resident Evil 2" and "Aliens vs. Predator 2")
I have read all the routes and additional stories that are currently in this visual novel (v 0.3.76). However, there are still some scenes that I have not seen and some dialogues (judging by the image gallery), but this does not prevent me from having a fairly complete idea of a product so ambitious and promising, with a competent approach from the developers, of course.
That is why I rate this visual novel so highly and wish it success, further development and improvements, fame and popularity!
A fairly large number of routes, many characters with their own physical characteristics, backstories, character and culture, which will increase the likelihood of finding the most interesting characters and developments for yourself. The presence of choices, of which there are many and they have an impact, only enhances this advantage.
I like this story and its atmosphere, I like the style of narration, character design, musical accompaniment (combining in the set both a more modern sound and the very same typical for the fantasy European Middle Ages, when listening to such music you imagine exactly such a world).
I like that there is variety here and there is something to choose from. Also, the presence of "gray morality" is clearly demonstrated here and without critical thinking you can fall into a trap, make rash hasty conclusions about some events and characters.
I think they should have announced themselves on Steam. More people would have learned about this ambitious project. I think this visual novel has potential. I would be one of those who would buy this game on Steam and some additional materials for it if they were there.
This project could develop and have regular support for many years, increasing its fan base. But on the condition that the developers focus on this game, do not lose their enthusiasm for it and stick to common sense and consistency in their decisions about what they want to add, change, improve and in what direction the plot will develop, the relationship between the main character and the characters.
